Here we are day 55 for our Wurlz F1 Hybrid. I would immediately like to say, do you notice anything by any chance? I said day 55 and we're pretty much ready. The leaves are turning yellow regularly, I have removed the fertilizers, the pistils are ripe, the resin is out, there are all the signs for a harvest which should take place towards the end of next week. The plants were born on April 6th, I repeat on April 6th for those who cannot grasp the concept. Most certainly Watermelon Candy and Wurlz will be harvested around June 6th, guys...8 weeks...not even 9 or at most nine weeks. If you're good at math, you do it otherwise I'll lend you some fingers. For topping lovers it means that if you want to do topping on autoflowering plants they won't finish in biblical times, according to my calculations even doing topping shouldn't go beyond three months, like an autoflowering from the previous generation. Why am I talking about the previous generation? Because these have certainly moved forward with speed, I have seen them grow and above all swell the flowers like I have never seen them do. As for the rest of the resin and pistils, everything is really in place. I want to do a terpene inspection soon and evaluate the ripeness for the harvest. The Wurlz also ends a little earlier than the others and is truly lightning. The purple lemonade is flowering nicely the buds are showing purple already and the gorilla cookies auto is flowering it has very tight node spacing which will mean bigger and fatter buds my tent is smelling great at the moment it will intensify as they grow

My Northern Lights #10 plant is an absolute beast! It's the biggest one in the tent, and it's branching out like crazy. The stems are thick and strong, and it just looks super healthy overall. You can definitely see the classic Northern Lights genetics in its growth pattern – it's a vigorous and sturdy strain. I'm excited to see how big this one gets! The weather has been absolutely gorgeous this past week! We've been hitting that sweet spot of 70 degrees during the day, perfect for getting outside and soaking up some sun. Then, it cools down to a comfy 50 degrees at night, which is ideal for sleeping with the windows open. I've been loving all the fresh air! I finally got around to building that little wooden planter for my windowsill. It was a fun project, and now my regular plants have a nice new home. It really brightens up the room, and I'm thinking of adding some herbs to it soon. Maybe I'll even try growing some basil!

I was pleasantly surprised with Green Crack as a whole throughout the grow. She stayed healthy throughout her lifespan while producing decent sized colas in bloom. I would suggest a slightly higher temp in late veg, closer to 80-84. I have her hanging in my dry room at 66 degrees and 62% RH. The smell is starting to envelope the room with a strong fruity almost tropical aroma. I can’t wait to update my diary after she’s dry enough to smoke but even more excited to try her after a solid 30 day cure. I harvested one of the Mimosa Cakes last week. It’s in day 7 of drying with about 3-5 days to go. Stay tuned for the smoke results and final weight!

Explosive growth this week! Must of doubled in size. Some kind of hungry insects, caterpillars maybe? Minor leaf damage, nothing major. Going to keep up with Neam/Aloe/Kelp spray. No rain in the foreseeable future, 26c every day, early summer for sure. Doesnt appear to need any extra nutrients, will add some more Gaia Green next week. I've had Lupins here for the past few years, which are Legumes and have great nitrogen fixing qualities, not to mention this entire patch of land had 20 years of old decaying blackberry bramble which were cleared 3 years ago when we bought the place, and the soil is some of the richest I've ever seen. No shortage of Nitrogen in there. I'll be honest, this plant is twice the size this time of year then the last 2 years I've been growing outdoors. I'm a little concerned I'll need my ladder come Oct! I did FIM once earlier in the week, will FIM ever 2-3 weeks till July to try and keep the height under control.

4/16: I love her structure as I said before, now she’s doing weird shit. The last few days some fan leaves have been turning yellow and falling off like it’s starving for nutes so I upped the anti hopefully that’ll fix this issue.......also a few buds started to fucking foxtail on me probably due to heat a few days ago it was 97 degrees in my tent good thing I caught it early 4/17: Today I noticed purple spots on some of the leaves mostly just on the ends.....seems like I may have a purple pheno 4/18: Giant fan leaves are still dropping off I don’t know if it’s the strain itself or not enough nutes, I’m not noticing any type of deficiencies even though I’m still new to this (my 7th grow) but the sugar leaves seem to be doing fine while increasing triches day after day 4/20: The colours are getting beautiful on this here sexy girl.

Algae is an asshole. Thought things were going really well... and then found a bit of algae in the rockwool.... No biggie I figure. Wrong. Left it one night, and today (Sunday) open the jar to find algae in all the roots. Not cool. Well, I needed to swap the nutrients anyway, and was going to do a major bonsai pruning... so why not also wash everything, plant included, in mild hydrogen peroxide solution? Sure, THAT's fun. Made the decision to swap Hydroguard for H2O2 as well, since the water is room temp (21-22 C) and the H2O2 supposedly helps prevent algae.... and keeps away root rot even in higher solution temperatures. Oh, and H2O2 is also seemingly a buffer... making getting the pH right in that small jar strange - needed WAY more pH down than without the hydrogen peroxide. Fingers crossed that the major life disturbances will help manage the algae and not just put the nails in the coffin.

It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! 41 días desde el cambio de fotoperiodo. Al parecer en mi celo por evitar una sobre fertilización provoque carencia de nutrientes, o mejor dicho, las plantas estaban pasando hambre. Durante esta semana las hojas pequeñas y grandes empezaron a amarillear por lo que subí las dosis de fertilizante y la EC hasta 1.1 (me había mantenido en máximo de 0.8), las plantas reaccionaron bien y se noto el cambio en el tamaño de las flores. En las próximas semanas aumentare la EC hasta 1.5.
