Intermediate Results
Overview
This grow was intense! Setting up the grow consumed so much of my time and focus that I started slacking at work, and it took me a month to get back on track. But hey, what’s the point of a job if it gets in the way of growing? 😉 In the end, everything worked out, and I gained invaluable experience.
This was my first grow using coco coir. At first, I didn’t get it, but then it just clicked! Now I’m hooked: "I’m here to stay." Coco is more controlled than soil, flushes easily, and you can introduce beneficial microbes, which thrive in it. My main takeaway from this grow? If you buy coco, don’t forget CalMag!
Next time, I’ll definitely install HEPA filters at the intake. The amount of dust was insane, and the grow box pulls air like a vacuum cleaner. Watching the timelapse, you can see the box sucking in every bit of dust. I vacuumed the intake filters weekly. The plant was incredibly sticky, but that also meant it caught a lot of lint and fibers between trichomes, especially visible under a microscope. Smoking microplastics? No, thank you!

On CO2
CO2 only works if everything else is dialed in. If the plant experiences stress from deficiencies or overfeeding, you can forget about it. Since CO2 supplementation requires turning off the exhaust fan, it’s hard to manage temperature and humidity. The plant releases so much moisture that RH jumps to 80% within minutes. It’s doable, but definitely a challenge.

No clue what’s happening here yet, but it’s fascinating! I’ll test again with a control sample.

Nutrients
Dreams do come true—I’ve tested almost everything Advanced Nutrients offers. It wasn’t all smooth sailing; their feeding charts need adjustments for your conditions, and you usually need to feed less than recommended. Overall, I’d say the nutrients performed 100%, and I see no reason to switch. I’ll stick with them for future grows.

Strain
This strain is reliable, though not the most productive. It flowered exactly as advertised and delivered a frosty finish. It tolerated all my mistakes like a champ—especially mold. Despite an abandoned SCROG plan turning the plant into a bouquet, there wasn’t a single mold spot, even in the densely packed lower buds that got almost no light. Zero mold issues!

Aroma
As advertised: pine, wood, and citrus. At first, I thought it smelled like grapefruit, but now I’m leaning toward bergamot. Bergamot with a classic weed aroma—a recognizable twist on the usual scent. During the grow, the smell was strong, but the carbon filter handled it perfectly.

Flavor
It’s too early to say, but the flavor is definitely there! Embarrassingly, all my past harvests tasted the same—like nothing. Just smoke. This one has a distinct sour taste. I’m excited to see how it develops after curing.

Effect
Too early for a full review, but I love what I’ve tried so far. The high lasts about three hours, with euphoria and relaxation. It’s the perfect evening strain. I’ve smoked a lot over the years, but I’ve never experienced true euphoria—until now. Guess I’ve been stuck with garbage and ditch weed before. 😅 It’s not a strain for productivity or chores, but it’s perfect for chilling, watching something, or chatting. No anxiety, just great vibes. It feels like having a beer after a long day: you relax, and life feels good again.

Roots
The roots were healthy—maybe too healthy! While the AirPot (20L) prevented root circling, it didn’t eliminate it entirely. There were dead zones at the bottom where roots circled around the perimeter. A dense root mat formed at the bottom (so dense you couldn’t poke a finger through it), which likely contributed to salt buildup. Breaking through that mat required more water, and I suspect this caused EC to spike 1.5x the next day if there was no runoff. Next time, I’ll mix some pumice with the substrate at the bottom, about 3–4 cm deep.

Timelapse
I only got the timelapse running after the switch to flowering, so it’s not from the beginning. Still, it’s an incredibly useful tool for understanding growth rates. I’ll definitely use it for future grows. Comparing yesterday to today is one thing, but rewinding a week to see how things were is game-changing. I recommend it! You can even use an old phone with a timelapse app if your camera doesn’t support it by default.

What’s Next
I’ve grown fat buds before, but I’ve always neglected curing. This time, I’m doing it by the book with full control. Drying in the grow box with RH controlled at 50–60% (averaging 55%) for a slow, even dry. Temps are kept between 20–23°C, with frequent venting to keep it below 21°C for terpene preservation. After 7–10 days, when small stems snap with a characteristic sound, I’ll trim and jar them with humidity sensors. For the first two weeks, I’ll burp the jars twice daily, then reduce to once daily for the next two weeks. After that, I’ll monitor the RH sensors and adjust as needed. I’ll share the details after curing is complete.
After drying, I’ll weigh the buds, take photos, and share another post in a month or two after curing to report on the flavor and aroma.
For now, I’m taking a breather, fine-tuning my setup, and preparing for my next grow: Wizard Trees - Zangria S1.

Great week with incredible growth. Responded very well to the topping and LST, just like their mother. Will continue with LST and some light HST until I'm satisfied with canopy coverage.
Updates as the week goes.
-8/18 - Further LST and some HST was used to try and spread the plants horizontally even more.
-8/20 - Watering today, then a bit of HST. Growth is going well.

Week four was definitely the week when the plants started to really grow bigger, I started some LST at my way cause even if I check thousands of videos I end it up doing what I thought was better for my plants, I perhaps was a bit late so it wasn’t stretching as I thought it would have, maybe I shouldn’t have wait this long, but again first time learning a lots.. I let the plant grow with LST only in week 4 in week 5 I introduced a scrog I made myself cause I thought that I couldn’t keep doing lst because I started too late

Una semana más de vida para las pequeñas y ya se ven muy establecidas ☘️
Apenas hemos regado una vez desde la siembra ya que se mantuvo la primera semana en ambiente a 90% de humedad relativa.
Las puntas de las hojas que hicieron contacto con el borde húmedo sufrieron un poco. Ya están recuperándose ✌️

C⁰: 19-26%
A ellas parece gustarles el sustrato liviano mezclado con composta madura... ☘️
#4 ya alcanza los 8 cm de altura!

Lots of growth through days 17 to 21. I consider day one at time of sprout.
Tops height was 5.20" on day 19.. prior to applying LST. Height is no longer relevant when using LST. I'm hoping for height after I LST the plant around the bowl of the 5 gallon pot, just before bloom. Considering this is an Amnesia XXL auto strain that runs around 10-12 weeks, I am hoping for a longer vegetative period to allow for more vertical growth. Lights moved to a distance of 22" from tops on Day 19, after LST.
Day 18-19 HST/LST Height 3"
Day 20 a topping and pruned approximately 7 leaves
Day 21 lights moved back to 18"
Day 21 Height 4.25"
Water PH 5.85-6.2 through Week 3

Day 0. I got new light and tent from Mars Hydro, so maybe ill make it in time for two rabbits ;)))
Bubba Cheesecake challenge started !
Light is great, has dimmer, in user manual youll find distances, so TS1000 is great grab for starters and CHEAP ! Again was imaging way lower quality from photos.
Tents are great help too, plus i really think they are great bargain for price. Last couple years without any major issues.

I guess I didn’t take pics for a full month! These pics were taken July 28th, 4 weeks after the last photos. Fed rainwater once every other day and used 1 tsp/gal recharge once a week with a small amount of liquid seaweed.

This week’s update is coming early, as I’m leaving for 1.5 weeks. Next week’s update will come on Saturday again, as per usual.
The nutrients seem to be off in some way, it’s clearly visible on the pictures now.
I tried lowering the PH, as I noticed that my tab-water might have one nearing 8, I’m not sure though.
As I’m leaving today, I won’t really be able to try anything else and/or monitor whether there’s any improvement, so I can really just hope for the best .-.

I cannot believe how much growth this week!!! I think she has almost doubled in size!! For the first time I've had to higher the light fixture. It is now almost as high as I can put it. I'm kinda regretting not FIMing her now...... I hope she does not grow much more in height!

Another week in the books and they seem to be maturing fast. Added some sweet candy and bud explosion by Greenleafnutrients @ 1 gram per 4 litres for each. Today I noticed some very small white pests on top of the pot, i only noticed when i watered as thats when they started moving about. Plants seem fine and with only a few weeks to go im not sure if I could or if its worth trying to treat it, guess ill just let the plants tell me....thanks for stopping by....✌️

We arrived last week and everything is going according to plan 👍.
It has now had enough time to use up its nutrients and will be in the darkroom for the next 2-3 days before it is harvested 👌.
The trichomes are 70% milky and 30% amber 👍.

Hey Guys! Check out our AK-47 Goxuak from Genehtik 😊 we are very proud of and impressed by this girls so far!
This weeks Objective; hardening off for the Optic 8+ tent. We will be moving her to the big tent in a couple weeks and the light is MUCH more powerful, so right now she goes under it for a couple hours b4 bed each evening.
She has overcome some obstacles in her life and is thriving! It's kinda funny. We had never heard of Genehtik b4 buying the seed from single seed centre, and honestly didnt expect much. So, when the time came to transplant and we realized we were out of pots we decided to put her in the only container handy (we were transplanting them in the kitchen at the time lol) and she has thrived!
It's really cool because we can see root growth through the pitcher. But we wrapped it in duct tape to protect them.
Of the 3 autos we sprouted, she is the only not yet in flower (thankfully) hopefully the pitcher is large enough for her to put on some wieght!
We are new to this diary thing so if anyone takes the time to read this and has and questions or advice please please let us know!! And thanks for checking her out! We will name her at flower

Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries.
This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow.
First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom.
I put some pictures on the construction here in week one.
The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters.
It provides a floor area of 3.6 square meters.
I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps.
I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside.
The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement.
Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement.
I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition.
I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me.
But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important.
Today I have put my seeds in my moisture dome and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days.
I am very excited to see how the new growroom will work and how this new secret CBD plant from @FAST_BUDS, will turn out.

Update 2017-08-15. Both seeds have germinated and planted in small pots inside the humidity dome.
I'm so glad it worked so well and now it's just hoping they'll start growing and become 2 big healthy girls :)

Update 2017-08-16. I have mixed my own soil today. Its 40% sieved peat harrow H2-H4 0-30 mm, 45% sieved peat harrow H4-H6 0-30 mm. 5% sand and 10% of compost soil. And i use 15% of perlite and mix it all together.

2017-08-29. New movie of the girls. Its no water for 3 days now so the roots develop more and match the plant above the soil. The temp controlled fan is awesome, its easy to set what temp you like to have in the room. Right now its 28 celcius. And humidity is 56%.

Hello to you who read my diary, I just want to say that I am pleased that you have chosen to check in with me and in my diary.
I just want to say that I do this for myself and for a steady flow of my medicine.
Everything you read and see in my diary is 100% honest and I will never distort or beautify anything here.
I document my crops so that I can learn from my mistakes and also to look back at those different crops.
I try to update with pictures every day and with text if something special has happened in the garden.
This is my strainhunt for the best medicine and the beginning of my journey with cannabis and the cultivation of it.

2017-08-30. Cleaned the room this morning, just vacuuming and cleaning with chlorine solution. Im testing the fan to control temp and humidity, it works great.

I'm not going to put in daily updates for this week. It was a slow week but I will highlight the following
- Watered every other day
- Fed twice this week according to Fox Farm feeding schedule
- Checked trichomes on day 62 because Sour Stomper is usually a quick grow. Seems we're a ways off still.
**** I also put up a video for day 60. You can see how crazy looking the Sour Stomper is. The entire top of the plant is bud with tiny leaves. It's turned into a mutant bush. The good news is that the buds are starting to thicken up on the bottom. ****
