Day 36 Grow Diary Entry – Day 36 (Flower Day 16) Strain: Sour Frootz by Karma Genetics Plants: 4 clones Training: HST + SCROG Today is Flowering Day 16, and the Sour Frootz ladies are officially deep into the early-to-mid bloom stage. Bud sites are now well-defined, and the pistils are stacking up nicely. The stretch phase has slowed down slightly, giving a good window for structural management. To keep the canopy even and under control, I applied high-stress training (HST) by bending and tucking the taller tops through the SCROG net. I also reduced overall plant height by about 25 cm, evening out the top layer across all four plants. This should help maximize light penetration and bud development across the entire canopy. The plants handled the stress well—no signs of wilting or shock so far. With this structure locked in, the SCROG net is now fully supporting the horizontal spread, allowing more light to reach secondary bud sites. The aroma is intensifying slightly, a sweet, fruity tang starting to build up when brushing against the leaves. Everything is on track. Thank you again SunWest Genetics for standing by your word on the seeds! I am following their recommended germination requirements to the letter. From the pictures the 2 seeds with the small tap roots are still on the plate, in a paper towel, in a dark place. I am hoping they make some progress today so that I can get them into their containers!!! My goal is to have 4 active sprouts in the new 5x5 tent, in a ScroG setup. So far only 1 has sprouted. I am finding the sprouting part the most difficult aspect of growing these wonderful plants. I still have 4 seeds in reserve and if the 2 don't continue germination and the other one doesn't sprout up through the flake of rockwool I have over the seed head, I'll get the other 4 into water.

Day 8, 9-18-24: they're seeming to shoot up rather quickly and that's wonderful! I can't wait Day 10, 9-20-24: They are starting to look like they're supposed to instead of babies! I got them level with each other so the ppfd should be more uniform. It's rained a couple of days this week so the humidity jumped some, but mostly everything is good Day 11, 9-21-24: they are doing amazing. They are starting to spread out nicely! Day 12, 9-22-24: They are really doing well! I had time to set up the camera this morning before work. That's a 4th gen purple star killer clone next to it. Day 13, 9-23-24: they keep getting noticeably bigger! Day 14, 9-24-24: they're growing nicely and starting to branch out. They have also grown pretty thick

Another good week!! I defoliated the smaller of the 2 plants mid-week... I think she is doing very fine. A small hiccup with the feed that same night. Only a few leaves are showing any sign on nutrient burn. I went ahead and fed them again today. I plan on watering them in a day or two... they were very thirsty this afternoon!! So, I definitely need to up the watering. I've still been feeding 3 quarts twice a week. Otherwise, all seems to be going well!! They are frosting up very nicely!! So exciting!! Peace!! Update for grow question: @The8thChevron thanks!!! I pulled them and will hope for the best for now. So close to the finish line. If I see more trouble brewing I will pull the plant. so... was of to any awesome start to the week topped them and started low stress training but at the end off all of it.... my torque got caught on the wire and she got more of a topping then planned thats for sure!!! ill just let here go for gold now leave her be.. had bad root rot and the only thing i can get in Australia is root stop unless someone knows something better..... i soaked the two dwc in the root stop substance for 4-8 hours... it seems to have lightened the root colours. i decided to cut the one that had root rot bad and cleaned and prepared it to transplant it to coco...

March 28th: She's still standing. I tried to take some trichome shots, but i'm not sure how well they are. It's my first shot at it, so cut me some slack! I gave about two gallons of water this week. I'm not sure if she's still drinking a lot, or if the pot getting dry faster is due to a few degree increase in temperature. All of the water was straight well water, not pH'ed. Which reminds me: pH of water doesn't matter when using living soil. The pH of the Soil is what matters. pH in hydroponics makes sense because the water is where your plants will pick up nourishment. The medium for hydro IS the water, which means your water needs proper pH. In soil, the pH is due to all the calcium, magnesium, micro and macro nutrients and minerals that are in it. That will create a pH in your soil. Now, you can also get a high pH in your soil due to sodium build-up. This isn't what you're looking for, as sodium build-up in soil is a no-no. Now, for the fun fact: If you have a low pH in your soil because you don't have enough calcium, pH'ing your water isn't going to do anything. You gotta fix the soil problem, which will correct the pH of the soil, and trying to use pH'ed water isn't the solution. You'd have to add more calcium to your soil to fix it. Anyway. Light intensity is still at 100%. As you can see, i've got some floppy branches on this cultivar. I gotta admit, i love when branches start floppin' around. It tells me that the plant is close to harvest! Just gotta wait on those trichomes to get a few more amber, then she'll be ready to chop. She's still only showing fade ever so slightly. The purple hue is nice, but i wish it would become a bit more pronounced. Maybe it will over the next few days. Flowering week 4 ---> Indoor plant: Nothing special this week. She stop to growing and making buds. Flowers become more bigger and dense with a strong smell.💪 The soil dry out very quickliy. I waterd it with 4lt of water (pH 6.5) and half tab of EASY BLOOM BOOSTER TABLET from Royal Queen Seeds one time the first day of the week and another time the last day of the week with other 4lt of water and half tab of EASY BLOOM BOOSTER TABLET. I removed the yellowing bottom leaves. Temperature grow box---> 22-26 °C Umidity grow box ---> 45 - 55 % Outdoor plants: They stop to growing and they start to make many beautiful big flowers. I water them with 6.5 pH water and Atami 1 Component every time they dry out. This week i waterd them with 2 lt of 6.5 pH water and 5ml/L Atami 1 Component for each plant.

Incredible strain this, grew hassle free from the start. Keep her healthy and give her what she needs and it will produce some dense, trich covered goodness. The smoke is Incredible but has a massive kick so be warned. Estimate these girls will be 25% THC.

Harvested one last night on 6.17 the other got last watering today. The nugs are real solid I like the purple tint and the smell is strong.These came out much better compared to my last ones.

Looks like I'm going to be satisfied with the autos and the photos their coming along fine very nicely. I super cropped the one outside and that's turning out fantastic

Just flipped to 12-12 with 90cm from canopy to light we shouldn’t have too much issue, plants are mostly around 45-48cm at this stage Day 1 (12 hrs dark) of 12-12 shows growth of between 1-3cm per plant will remeasure at end of light cycle. 24 hours all plants have stacked on 2-4cm on day 1 of flip It appears that defoliation is required as these indica dom plants just get thicker and thicker overnight. These were heavily trimmed 6 days ago from the bottom and the top, good problem to have they say. These are a feminised indica 90% sativa 10% I was expecting at this stage to be shorter and tighter. We have 3 in the short compact types the other 6 are considerably larger but all seem extremely happy Day 2 of flip all the girls had a hairdresser appointment.
