Poor babies! They've definitely had a rough start. I'm fairly certain now the issue has been too much moisture in the soil. I believe there are a few factors that have had an impact: 1) Obviously, giving them too much water. In the first week I gave 90ml into their 1 litre pots over two waterings. I thought this was okay because the top soil was completely dry between waterings. Someone suggested that seedlings don't need additional water for the first 10 days so I'll try that next time 2) Feedback I've had is that my soil mix is quite heavy @ 63% soil, 25% Coco, 6 % perlite + 6% vermiculite. In future I'll increase the perlite portion to about 40% 3) Also, I just noticed that the plastic pots I'm using have very small drainage holes. I think this has caused moisture to accumulate at the bottom of the pot. Yesterday I pushed my finger all the way to the bottom of the pot and it is much wetter at the bottom than at the top. So yeah, tough start. But they're still growing, albeit very slowly. I trust they'll survive.

Transplant day!!!! Transplanted my 5 Purple lemonade ladies from solo cups, to 5 gallon grow bags! Today is day 14 and they had a fantastic root system. (Attached a photo). I am running FFOF this run, with 20% perlite added to the mix. I will not be running any nutes until probably week 5, as fox farms comes ready to go. This will be my first run with Ocean forest. My normal medium is Cocoloco by bushdoctor. I top dressed these girls with around 2 inches of cocoloco from a previous grow, to keep the gnats and bugs down. They dont mess with the cocoloco, I'm in Hope's that the couple inches of that on top will help with this also. They will veg under a 4ft, 8 bulb T5 Light.

Major changes here at Night Owl summer camp. Have had a rodent problem! Something has figured out a way to get into the dormitory (greenhouse)and had a feast on my plants. Five branches off the Harvey Wallbanger, and two each off the Vanilla Fizz and the 91Grapes. Oh my gosh! I needed to do something else. My wife gave me a spare bedroom for a grow nursery! What a girl I have! So spent the day yesterday moving tents and hanging lights and got the girls all situated in the new dormitory away from some vampire in the night. Will give an individual plant update shortly. ***ok, back. Let鈥檚 start with the Harvey Wallbanger. Miss Harvey was on her way to becoming my most interesting grow to date before she was devoured by some creature of the night. She鈥檚 a cross of Orange Diesel and Cookie Smasher and even at this early stage of flowering she鈥檚 producing a nice glossy sheen and sweet aroma to match. She is a towering 48 inches making her the tallest autoflower that I have ever grown. She is slender and resembles the structure of a clone but I believe her flowers themselves will be massive in size and trichomes production. To date she has yet to make a single leaf with more than five points on it. She is truly interesting. Next let鈥檚 explore the Vanilla Fizz. Ms. Fizz didn鈥檛 get it as bad as Miss Harvey but suffered significant injuries as well. Loosing two full branches and enough bottom bud sites that the bottom 30 percent is now already cleaned up. She is the bushiest of the three with plenty of growing bud sites. Standing a proud forty three inches tall she comes in last in height but may be stacked up the nicest. Last but certainly not least comes the 91Grapes. Since she received the least amount damage from nightly feastings we are going to feature her until harvest. Only loosing two branches and not much else she was spared from destruction. She is massive!!! Not a massive amount of vegetation just in size over all. She鈥檚 44 inches tall and big enough around for a bear hug. She takes up the entire 40 inch by 40 inch tent all by herself. She was probably spared damage due to her size. Pom poms are everywhere as is evidence of cheerleading practices and she is captain of the squad. Going to have to get a little more creative with the way watering will be conducted in the future. The formula 707 soil is for retaining moisture in outdoor conditions so I am afraid that it will retain moisture indoors and be a pest problem.

A lot of spreading this week. They basically doubled in size if not more and are now starting to grow up. Due to this incredible growth I've cut some leaves of the bottom; they've just gotten over grown by other leaves and the top to let more light in.

D49 The Purps is rocking. I hope she's near done with the stretch as she's now approaching 40" tall. She's got a ton of bud sites and they're all plumping up and getting frosty. She's been pretty hungry and thirsty, demanding 3 litres of water almost every day. Her PPMs have been running in the low 900s with stable PH. She's due for a rez change and will get one tomorrow after 2-weeks of top-ups. Super happy with the way she is growing and she may actually finish within her 6-7 week advertised harvest time. 馃 Thanks for tuning in 鉁岋笍

Day 42: Watered the plants 0.5L with nuts(same as nuts chart here), 824 ppm, 1753 us/cm, PH 6.4 All plants showing signs of Mag/Cal, P, N deficiency. Watered the plants on day 38 with half the nuts, and the 2 irrigations before that day, were only tap water, no nuts. Looks like they are growing very slowly... They aren't happy at all. All the leaves from bottom to top are turning yellow... some of them have brown spots. Seems like it's already mid or late stage of deficiency... I hope they recover! Day 44: Watered the plants 0.5L with nuts, 4L total, 834 ppm, 1775 us/cm, PH 6.5 5ml callmag 5ml fishmix 4ml biogrow 12ml biobloom 15ml bioheaven 15ml activera 4ml top max Day 47: Watered the plants 0.5L with nuts, 4L total, 944 ppm, 2008 us/cm, PH 6.5 5ml callmag 5ml fishmix 4ml biogrow 12ml biobloom 16ml bioheaven 16ml activera 4ml top max

Day 33-40 (May 24th-May 31st) (Day 34) I just found a herm branch on the tight blueberry pheno. It looks like a random pollen sack opened right above a lower branch. I removed the sack but I saw a small amount of dust fall onto one of the lower branches. I鈥檓 going to leave it to see if it will pollinate that small branch at all. I spent a good 5 minutes looking closely for bananas or claws but couldn鈥檛 find anymore. The main bud is clearly unaffected so I will just leave it unless it is visibly seeding itself. Too bad because I鈥檓 really excited for this plant. (Day 36) Not a lot has happened since I flushed them. Growth actually looks healthy and I don鈥檛 see any deficiencies on anything yet. (Day 37) Both of these badazz cheese phenos are picture perfect and easily hold up against Canadian and California quad grade. I might try to reveg them at the end and take some clones. They have this unique pungent, grassy, sour milk smell that is just wonderful. The density and bud structure is looking great too. This whole plant will probably take 3 minutes to trim if that. (Day 38) Just found a banana on the shitty blueberry pheno. This pheno is trash and I would honestly throw it away if it didn鈥檛 mess up the 3 perfect rows. It has almost no frost, no smell, is airy and has bad structure. I鈥檝e actually never seen a plant with such little frost. Even outdoors. (Day 39) I think most of this tent will be done by day 60 but I will probably ride it out until day 70+. I don鈥檛 think the blueberries or the jacks will fill out very much either way but taking it too day 70 will ensure maximum production from each plant.
