Started off bad with serious calcium deficiency. I was applying the nutrient schedule built on a 500 basis while my measurement device is based on 700. I was starving the plants without realizing it - Trimmed off the damage, upped the nutes and looking good as new.

May 26 2026 She's been repotted into a 5 gallon grow bag, and that will serve as her home for the remainder of the grow. The soil in the bottom half is pro-mix all purpose, and the top half is a combination of coco coir, perlite, worm castings, biochar, blood meal, bone meal, Epsom salts, and a bit of cal-mag. She's making a lot of progress health-wise, and by next week she should look completely normal. I did remove a some lower fan leaves, as they were no longer of any use. ---------- On a side note: I had originally ordered 10 purple dragon ball F5 seeds from 7East, but they only sent me 6 due to lack of inventory and substituted with a generous amount of Watermelon Dragon seeds, which I'm fine with since I had intended to order those sometime in the future anyway. That said, of those 6 purple dragon ball seeds, there were 5 that initially cracked open but the inside of the seed was rotten. The sole surviving seed germinated properly, and while these are regular seeds and could be male or female, I'm confident this one is a female based on physical characteristics and a lack of pre-flower development on the 4th node. In rare cases I've seen males develop their first pre-flowers on the 5th node, but in those cases they ended up being male herms. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen here, but the only way to find out is to wait. ⏳

Hey Growers, End of week 10 from seed Earlier in the week I began noticing an orange color on some leaf tips, I probably overfed them nutrients so I fed them just water with a ph of 6.0 on the following feeding schedule and the leaves are looking better now. Last week a weird smell was coming out from the colas, its slowly changing. Its now starting to smell like 🍃 🍋 ⛽️ Noticed a small Increase in orange pistils I want to increase light intensity but I am worried the red stems on the top of the plant will get worst and then affect the whole plant. Only the top part of the plant has some red stems, the rest are all green. QUESTIONS How close am I from Harvesting? When should I begin flushing?

Blueberry Muffin – Pheno A | Week 3 The Awkward Start Is Officially Behind Her Welcome back to another week of the 8×8 Adventure, where twelve cultivars are being documented individually from seed to harvest under a strict 12/12-from-seed schedule. Each phenotype receives its own diary so development can be followed independently, allowing subtle differences in structure, vigor, and expression to reveal themselves over time. This week marked one of the most significant environmental changes since the project began. The lighting intensity was increased from approximately 370 µmol/m²/s PPFD to 700 µmol/m²/s PPFD at canopy level. Rather than easing into the increase slowly, the decision was made to provide the plants with a much stronger light source and observe their response carefully. The result? They loved it. Alongside the increase in light intensity, feeding volumes and nutrient strength were also adjusted to support the accelerating growth rate. If you’ve been following this diary since germination, you’ll remember that this phenotype showed a few odd characteristics during its earliest days. The first leaves arrived with a slightly unusual appearance and briefly raised some questions about how she would develop. Fast forward to Week 3 and those concerns feel very distant. The new growth is absolutely beautiful. Leaf structure has normalized completely, color is rich and healthy, and the overall plant has developed into a compact, vigorous young specimen with excellent symmetry throughout the canopy. One of the first things that stands out is the internodal spacing. Despite the substantial increase in PPFD, the plant continues to stack nodes tightly, creating a dense structure that suggests strong genetic vigor and efficient use of the available light. Rather than stretching upward, she is focusing her energy on building a solid framework. Looking closely at the canopy, the branching is already beginning to establish itself naturally. Side shoots are emerging confidently and there is a clear sense that this plant is preparing for the next stage of development rather than simply adding height. At this point she is already pushing into the seventh to eighth node range, which is impressive considering the timeline and the 12/12-from-seed approach being used throughout the project. The foliage itself is another highlight. Large, healthy fan leaves radiate outward from the center of the plant, creating a broad solar panel that is capturing every available photon. Color remains a lush, vibrant green from top to bottom, with no signs of stress despite the environmental changes introduced this week. The newest growth is particularly exciting. The central growth tip is expanding rapidly and showing the kind of vigor that makes a grower eager to check on the plant every day. There is a feeling that this phenotype is only beginning to reveal what it has planned. For now, she sits comfortably among the stronger performers in the room, combining healthy structure, excellent color, strong branching, and compact growth habits into a very promising package. Most importantly, she simply looks happy. And happy plants tend to tell the best stories. ⸻ Looking Ahead The coming week should be very revealing. With the root zone continuing to expand, nutrient levels increased, and lighting now operating at a much higher intensity, the pace of development is expected to accelerate noticeably. Deep Forest Auto is growing very vigorously and well. She made a lot of progress in this week. She got her first lst and defoliation today. It was almost too late. As she is starting to get woody in her Base. She is growing really good in the air pot. Everything is looking good at the moment. WEEK #12 - FIRST SIGNS OF BLOOM The bushes are doing fine, it seems. Checking the photos of last week, the progress is huge. Slush is almost same size as Skywalker now, 40cm in diaemter and about 25cm tall. Though not as compact /dense. In fact the SMC seems to be a very delicate and "soft"/dropping plant, while the Skywalker is a bit more sturdy. Really need to pull myself together to not remove mass (leaves) during stretch. 1-2 weeks to go, i think. Many leaves and high light intensity = thirsty much (and high humidity, but that shouldnt matter too much in this stage, err?). I think i will burn through all my fertilizer soon enough. But that's best for the plants surely. Installed the ScrOG net, 70x70cm tent kinda limiting already, a few more centimeters woulg be nice for air circulation and general spread of the plants. Hope to branch them out a bit more the folling days. At the moment i'm a bit concerned, also regarding the net, as i have usually sometimes removed the plants for care. Well, have to see if that's a major problem or just annoying in the future. Smell: not stronger than before (yet), very faint and not very distinct ("green"). Light: adjusted to appr. 35cm distance every other day, still 800 PPFD/µmol/m²/s - which could be a bit more in fact. Wish i had a "fast forward" function, can't wait. 👻 - - - Question(s): 2nd Fan under (instead above) canopy, after stretch seems reasonable? At the moment there's not enough space.

Killing it this week. Making the switch tomorrow. I will keep spreading the tips through the stretch but I won't be keeping them low. I'm going to let them get some vertical growth so the future buds can take advantage of all available light.

Week 7 has started and I'd say, overall she's looking good and healthy. day 45: It's time to give her some water and new "food". I took the opportunity to remove a few of the lower and inner leaves and arrange them a little more openly with some garden wire and string. Regarding those lighter leafs in the top center (pictures under the LED make it really look worse) and the reddish/violet stems i won't do anything for now but observing. day 46: just visual checks and refreshing humidation. day 47: The soil was already dry again, i guess because of those high temperatures during the last days (up to 38°C inside the box). As she seemed to be doing quite well, I decided to carry out a slightly larger defoliation. Some might even call it “soft lollipopping”. But as a beginner, I want to try the experiment and I'm more afraid of mold than a slightly lower yield. So I removed about 1/3 of the leaves and small shoots in the lower area and also took out some fan leaves and leaves that were growing inwards or covering other shoots. I then used some string to give her a new shape to bring the individual shoots back to a more uniform height. day 48: just visual checks and refreshing humidation. I guess she isn't too sad about her new haircut. Additionally playing around with the smartphone microscope I recently bought. day 49: The first pistils are beginning to change color. No water needed today, but i guess for a fresh watering tomorrow. Removed some leafes that wouldn't get much light The weather should cool down again today and in the next few days, so I'm hoping for lower temperatures inside the grow box. Today I will leave the box open for a while and try to cool down the room in which it is standing. day 50: My guess was right, it's watering day. Felt like she needed a little more nutrients so i slightly adapted my plan.

Through germination and was delighted to experience 100% success rate👍 Two girls this run and now have a GSC and a GSC2 this run. GSC was chosen for the first to break the surface and while the second GSC to come up is now GSC2, she was actually the third to break the surface. Excited to run this strain from Fast Buds.......there are newer strains but sometimes a classic is good😃 Greater focus on VPD this run. Already pushing the humidity higher than I ever have with having controller set at 72% with temperature at 79 degrees. I have been reviewing the numbers and I have normally been close but it looks like I have to raise everything by about 10% and for a few weeks long😬😬😬😬😬😬 Trust the science and lets learn some more from this grow!!! *****Daily Detail: Apr 11, Day 1: - VPD - 1.2 - 500ml first watering given with nutrients as listed. (minus Velokelp) - pH water to 5.6 - Girls up and looking like they are ready to go. Apr 12, Day 2: - VPD - 1.0 - 500ml feeding with VeloKelp @ 2ml/L, Piranha & Voodoo @ 2ml/L. pH to 5.6 - lowered light intensity a bit more. - Both girls are doing very well. Nice leaf colour and tips are turning up now!! Apr 13, Day 3 - VPD - 1.2 - 500ml water with 0.5ml/L each of Piranha & Voodoo, Dual Fuel. - 300ppm with 5.4pH. Apr 14, Day 4 - VPD - 1.1 - 500ml water with Virtathrive and Piranha & Voodoo Juice @ 1ml/L, VeloKelp @ 2ml/L, and SensiCal @ 0.5ml/L. - 210ppm with 5.5pH. - the girls are very happy and colour looking good. Tips are pointed way up on GSC and GSC2 seems happy but may have a little more going on below the soil right now so a little slower looking. Apr 15, Day 5 - VPD 1.0 - 250ml water with VeloKelp @ 1ml/L. - 95ppm with 5.4pH - GSC really looks happy and hope she is pushing out some serious roots below:) - GSC2 is holding her own looks fine. Apr 16, Day 6 - VPD 1.0 - 500ml water with Piranha & Voodoo @ 1ml/L, Vitathrive @ 0.5ml/L, Dual Fuel @ 0.5ml/L. - 300ppm with 5.8pH - GSC still looking pretty happy and continues to point tips up. - GSC2 is standing up a little more and over looking like a nice. - Moved all the girls today one spot in a clockwise rotation. - Noticed more residual moisture on the bottom of the pots than anticipated. Apr 17, Day 7 - VPD 1.1 - Turned on flower light on UnitFarm this afternoon and they are happier. - Both ladies up and proud to be alive this afternoon. - Dry out day today and no added water/feed, just misting. - Let the medium dry out a bit and give a nice week 2 feed tomorrow.....they are ready for a little more nutrients now.

Day 49! Starting to give her just plain water for 2 weeks of flushing. Getting really excited to harvest and then get going on another grow. See you next week.

This week has shown some nice growth, and gained some height too. The leaves are a lush healthy green colour, there hasn't been anything to do this week apart from watering, and this is what I gave this week. 20.8.25: I watered with 1.5ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.0 with; 💜 2ml Trace PH: 6.0 PPM: 340 24.8.25: I watered with 2L of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.6 with; 💜 1ml Flourish PH: 6.6 PPM: 315 29.8.25: I watered with 2L of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.5 with; 💜 2ml Trace PH: 6.5 PPM: 321 Thanks for stopping by this week and hanging out 😁💚👌🌱✌️
