This plant was not to bad in terms of lst needs and defoliating needs as much as the other ones. This will be the last week they are in Veg and switching to flower cycle next week with a 12/12 photoperiod. I was going to try a 13/11 but I wanted to test out the automatic light functions on the Medic Grows Minisun-2, So this will be relieved next week. Been having issues with PH in the medium again and some nutrient uptake. I am thinking I will switch to another brand I have to use up, trip tonic from my last grow on the balcony. Its a bit more complex and not as easy as mix into water and feed but I think its going to help me solve a lot of the issues I am getting. Given this update is a few days late some of these pics are not from today. the clones in the photos above are from the beginning of the week when I potted them up. 07/13/2025 - Day 105 Short Facts: - 75cm tall - VPD @ 1.0 - Fungus gnats and thrips are still there - predatory mites are deployed to the battlefield (the soil!) - green lacewing larva are also deployed and are placed on the card near the outbreak ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well, she’s developing, but it seems like she’ll need more time than her sister, because the buds are still quite small. However, she’s starting to show some really beautiful deep purple leaves around the flowers. She might turn out to be quite stunning when she finishes. Unfortunately, she’s now also infected with thrips and more than I had seen the week before. I hope the green lacewing larvae will do the job, but just to be safe, I’m going to order more this week. The fight is on! I also uploaded some pictures and a video of one of the leaves they’ve basically destroyed. Really sucks that this is happening so late into the grow.

Finished Week 3 of Flower and watching it like a hawk for any hint of PM. Did have to spray occasionally on a few leaves, but total spots found were less than 10 for all three plants. I perform DAILY inspections, LEAF BY LEAF, ensuring I do not suffer the same fate I encountered on my first grow. Did some light LST'ng, but more really like pulling down slightly, any very tall stems. Removed remaining fan leaves that aren't on a node with an active bud site, mostly all bottom level leaves. All in all, some great bud growth. I can say The Bling is a very lanky and upright plant. I still have all the LST wires attached as there is still tension for it to grow straight up! Mimosa has the most bud sites and even growth. Napali Pink is also growing well. Has been unaffected by PM from early on through today. If you are looking for a hearty, PM-resistant plant, Napali Pink is it.

Hello, this is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of flowering. Things are going good in here this week. Got some canopy mites for the thrips damage I've seen on some leaves. You can see the little glass jars I used to hold the bran they come in the picture under the table. The canopy mites eat the bran mites while they are in the package. Got in here and did some LST and some fanleaf removal. I also removed the sucker branches. They take energy away from the plant. I guess when they activated the Growdiaries 2.2 I couldn't log on for 5 days and got discouraged and didn't report last week. The site didn't even work right. There was about 30 pictures when the home page was up, but all the other pages were without content. Somehow my operating system didn't get through. But they fixed it and I'm here now. Plant #1 smells wonderful, Sweet Lemon candy and I can smell the papaya in it too. OK. Have Fun. Chuck.

Hey guys! Sorry for the big delay since my previous grow! Right now I'm growing some babies from Royal Queen Seeds! Kali Dog! 😃 The first week was calm! The babies broke out from their shells rather fast and two babies grew out of their jiffy pods rather fast! Also, since the strain is Kali Dog I decided to name each of the plants with a different dog name! I'm still unsure about the names but the first two are called Roko and Max! For the first time I also noticed the first buds looked... different? You'll be able to see them in the photos tho... and once again two of my babies are suffering from helmet head 😰 But eh, I'm used to it. Gladly it's an easy error to fix. I'll try to make a longer timelapse (these were bad!) but I didn't know my camera battery wasn't enough for long sessions 😝 Anyway, thanks for reading! See you all next week! 👋

Die Pflanze hat einen wundervoll geschwungenen Wuchs. Sie ist schön Breit und dennoch kompakt. Die Pflanze legt insgesamt eine top Performance hin. Die Blütenstruktur bildet eher fest und Kompakt aus. Die Trichome kommen allmählich bis auf die Zuckerblätter. Gegrowt wird wie immer rein Organisch, diese Woche gab allerdings nur Wasser. Hi Growmies, This was her last week of heavy feeding. I have already decreased the nutes for the coming week and will probably start flushing her the week after. So that she should be finished by the end of the contest pretty much. Regardless of her age the rootball has shrunk only a little bit. I have also taken her out of the scrog to enable the canopy to open up further and allow more light penetration for the maturation of the buds. This worked actually very well, as the weight of the buds pull the plant open. Thanks for stepping by and until next week!

Day 62! Not long left at all now with the 🍋🍒🍪 they smell amazing! 🦍🍪 setting a decent pace now too, the first defoliation session I’ve had on them too, wasn’t sure if to just leave them , but I’m more than happy with them now, everything’s looking and smelling 10/10.. untill next week! 👊🏻

Alright grow cycle, mistakes, improvements, etc... She did stay in veg for too long, her growth was slow and not the best and so she took quite long, next time i'll be there from the beginning so I can take care of her throughout. But her growth is really fun. It is a tall growing sativa with fairly tight noding when trained accordingly, producing long filled colas. The buds grow fairly dense and fluffly but do air out a little when dried. Trichome production was pretty impressive as well as terpene production. She had thrips since her early days but did not seem to mind them at all. I did spray them initially but once flower started I stopped. I believe predatory mites might have been feeding on the pupae in the soil, if that is what this specific species of thrips did, the reason I say that is I could never see adults only larvae. Whatever the case maybe they were there but the population never really increased. Something I did not mention during the grow is that those plants were played music during the days, music that is apparently developed for plants. The 10L pot was WAY too small for a true sustainable living organic and to provide enough space for the plant, that was a mistake, I'd say a 20L would be the bare minimum and still. The bigger the better. The hempy transfer did not hurt the plant and I believe even helped to some extent, BUT, I am still running test on the subject and so can't confirm anything, here are my observations Roots did not colonize the perlite, a little on top and the sides but that was it, I was expecting to see a big root mass in there. I believe hempy are great for salt fert as it hold a soup of nutes where the plant can feed from since the coco only holds very little Whereas in nature most nutrient are in the top soil where the highest amount of decomposition happens, this is where the highest microbial activity happens and so where the plant will find food. Living organic is trying to reproduce nature and so there is no need for the plant's roots to gather at the bottom of the pot. Although it could have potentially provided the plant access to a larger amount of water and possibly more oxygenation of the pot. Those are all theories, please speak up if you have other proofs. In conclusion , unless i get proven otherwise by someone or my latest running experiment , I will not be using hempies again as I believe it brings more complication and issues than a simple fabric pot. The lights, The 600w at the start was good, then I decided to add a 400w...😂 That was completely overkill and not necessary. Waste of electricity. And they started suffering from too much light it seems at some point, I raised the light by a good 30 cm and they were fine. 600 is more than enough. I am happy about how the soil performed but it has room for improvements. As for the watering technique I have been watering large ammount every few days, next time I will be giving constant small amount of water each day and a soak every week or so, I believe the soil might perform better under those conditions. She was also an easy plant to harvest whit her long colas which had very little foliage, I do trim in excess as I like my buds extra clean but the buds are not excessively bushy. The trims were use to make some bubble hash, around 100g of wet trims yielded around 1.5-2g of bubble hash. I did add a negative effect but only because it wouldn't give me a smile otherwise, but to be honnest it barely dries your mouth. The soil is going to be recycled and reused in a next grow. I can't think of anything else at the moment but if you have any question don't hesitate.
