Week 2 Mr.B's Six shooter so this one is doing fine, still no water needed since last week, literally no maintenance required, just spraying the soil with 0.25 ml / 250ml organic amino acid concentrate. You know how canna boost smells like soy sauce, well this one smells like that kinda except when i open it my whole basement smells like a chineese wok restaurant lol . Six shooter looks like i got three phenos , this one is an indica pheno looks like , let's see how she grows ! added cal mag to the foliar spray, once only this week, on day 5. amino spray on the soil is daily, until the 10 day mark. still only going to be plain water and secondary nutrients like CO2 and micronutrients . that's the plan anyway. VPD tappering off towards 1.1 as humidity is creeping down from a high of 42 to the high thirties now. going to plant my in soil ppm reader before i water for the first time since transplant lol... maybe not even this week ! low maintenance? will update 🚀

I mean, overall this was an extremely painless grow. The test of whether we should or shouldn't top autos is still TBD imo. Our topped candidate produced denser, frostier buds, but weighed slightly less, at 14 grams of bud total. And our lst plant produced 18 grams of bud, not as frosty, and almost as dense as our topped girl. I'll be topping autoflowers from here on out only under the circumstance I have 4+ to grow at the same time. Seems like it could be used to speed up the autoflower grow cycle if done properly, like with right. Since I'm doing a perpetual cycle, it's still a viable option for me in the long run. A few tips I have for anyone growing this strain in organics: Start feeding bloom nutes a little bit prior to flower transition - this makes the transition more seemless. From weeks 1-3 flower, I slowly dropped the grow dosage until I cut off grow nutes week 3 flower. Starting the flush around week 6 flower seemed to really bring out this plant's potential. But I think you could get away with starting the flush around week 5. I hope this helps anyone trying this strain out. It's a good one, I hope to see more journals of it, eventually. Cheers everyone! 4/1/2023 Week 7- Day 1 of Veg (Day 59 overall) Water Change Day!!! Water was really low it was just above the hump in the Res cutting it close to not having enough water in the system to keep it going. They drank a lot making it close going the full 14 days. I am still going with the previous grows and adding 36 Gallons but even looking at the root I think the SILICA is working and the roots are further along at this point than in previous grows. This next two weeks will watch how much they drink and how low my Res starts getting, and will make a decision on changing the water weekly from here on out or still keep on the plan of every other week until Week 4 of Flower. Might have to take my clones during the week this week, I am trying to wait until Saturday to hit week 8 but again they are getting all over the place and I need to trim some of the sides and lower areas. 4/4/2023 Week 7- Day 4 of Veg (Day 62 overall) I decided to take my clones and clean up the lower half of the plants. I took 2 clones from each plant to go into the cloning machine. 4/5/2023 Week 7- Day 5 of Veg (Day 63 overall) Water Temp is sitting at 73. Right in my ideal range for my setup. Ideal range 70-74 My Temp Tent is my ideal zone75.6 Ideal for this grow 70-78 The lights are still waiting the switch to flower to get maxed out... The Humidity is coming in right at 60% I love it.. I took so much off yesterday I figure it was a good day to let them rest. 4/6/2023 Week 7- Day 6 of Veg (Day 64 overall) I needed to Defoliate some and I topped a little. The plants might force me to flip them soon. Next Wed is the 10 week mark half way through the 20 weeks. The net is Bingo... Which means that If/when the plants hit the net I will have to flip them. The Net is set to the max height that I can let them get based on the Breeders Stretch report 75%. 4/7/2023 Week 7- Day 7 of Veg (Day 65 overall) #3 is 22 inches Tall, #2 is 19 Inches Tall. Net is set at 24 inches. Net is also set as my Bingo point, if they hit the net then I have to flip no matter what to account for the Breeders recommended 75% Stretch allowance. I think I am going to have to flip right at the 10 week mark of the Competition which is Wed 12 Apr. I topped a little, I de-foliated a lot to start getting it ready for the anticipated Flip.

11/29 - Day 57 - Start of week 9. Fed the plants today with cal mag, base nutrient trio (micro, grow, bloom), and MKP. The plants appear to be very happy and healthy. Flowers are developing nicely on Blanche and Pinky, but Bleu is still showing only a few pistils at the bud sites. I'm wondering whether I should adjust the light schedule from 18/6 to 16/8, 14/10, or even 12/12. Will reassess at the end of this week. 12/02 - Day 60 - Fed nutes ppm=700 PH=6.5 w/ recharge and molasses. 12/05 - Day 63 - Fed nutes ppm=825 PH=6.5. Pinky and Blanche are starting to fatten up. Bleu looks as though she's just starting to kick into another gear, but will probably finish at least 2 weeks after the other two. Excited to see the eventual yield considering she will get the entire tent to herself during the final few weeks, is significantly larger than the other two plants, and is drinking/eating more.

06/27: the small buds dry up quickly with the current climate near my house.... So I was able to taste the famous apple fritter. And I'm glad I dont know when I grow another AF. because what I like is to taste the novelties

Because of that, flower timing is not perfectly synchronized — and that’s an important part of this grow and of the decisions we’re making. What you see here is a real-world expression of those genetics, grown without chasing trends or hype — just observation, patience, and consistency. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment & Feeding (Why We Changed Nothing) This week, we deliberately changed nothing. • Day temperature: ~28 °C • Relative Humidity: ~65% • EC: 2.4 • pH: 6.5 • Plant height: ~40 cm to ~80 cm • Lighting: LED Many growers would say these temperatures are “too high for flower,” but context matters. Under LED lighting, leaf surface temperature typically runs 2–4 °C cooler than room temperature. Because of that, we focus on leaf VPD, not room VPD. The plant is what matters — not the number on the wall. We are not chasing numbers. We are paying attention to them. The plants are responding perfectly: • Lush, deep green foliage • No signs of stress • Strong internodal structure • Uniform uptake across different phenotypes When the plant is happy, stability beats adjustment. That’s why the nutrient recipe stayed exactly the same. ⸻ ✂️ Defoliation — Why This Week, Why This Way This week marked an important decision. Normally, defoliation would happen around day 21 of flower. But in a 12/12-from-seed run, there is no universal day 21. Each plant entered flower on its own schedule. The room was getting dense. Airflow was being restricted. Light penetration was becoming uneven. So we listened to the plants — not the calendar. We opened the canopy, improved airflow, and allowed the plants to: • Breathe better • Receive more uniform light • Push growth upward instead of inward We’ll be honest: 👉 We went harder than planned. But it was a conscious decision, not an emotional one. Leaves removed were healthy — not sick — which tells us the plant had energy to spare. The remaining structure is strong, clean, and well-shaped. ⸻ 🛠️ Training & Recovery • Structural branches previously damaged were taped last week • All repaired nodes bounced back perfectly • Plastic clips are still being used dynamically — on and off — to guide shape, not force it This tells us everything we need to know about the genetics: stable, resilient, forgiving, and strong. ⸻ 🔮 What We Expect Next After a hard defoliation, plants tell the truth quickly. The buds have built up a nice layer of resin, but I’m hoping they’ll bulk up a bit more. Toward the end of last week, I gradually trimmed off all the fully yellow leaves and some fan leaves that were shading the buds. Some of the chlorosis has gotten worse even with Cal-Mag and no light stress — not sure why, honestly. The buds haven’t swelled up as much as I was expecting; about 15 days left till harvest, so by the end of the week we’ll see if things take a turn for the better. 🤞

Week 16 Happy Easter week. 4/9-15/23 Flushing, nights in the dark with cold feet. This is week 2 of flushing before the harvest. Sunday I flushed each plant with 1 1/2 gal of filtered water after layering ice the top of the pots. After flushing they were just put in the room not in the tent. I had an ocsellating fan moving on a medium speed. Moved to the garage for the night. Tuesday flushed each plant with 1 1/2 gal of filtered water after layering ice the top of the pots. Harvest is moved to this weekend rather than next Tuesday as planned. Wednesday all three plants were put in the dark room put ice on top of the pot. No further flushing will be done. Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Lights remained off Temp 73. Rh 71% when I opened the dark room. The dark room has black out curtains, however there is l8ght exposure around the edge of the curtain. Saturday afternoon photos taken pre cut, tricomes photographed as best I could. Additional hands are Required as I must take 50 pictures only to get 5 acceptable ones. Cut from the base of her stem , weighed and hung in the tent in the dark with a small fan . The drying has begun. Wet harvest weight 253 grams 8.9oz. April 15-19 Hanging in dark room with temperatures ranging from 73-77f Rh 49-74. April 20 - 22 Hanging in dark room with temperatures ranging from 71-77f Rh 50-80. The higher humidity is a result of turning the home a/c off during the night. Since its drying time and not much to say. I decided to locate photos of the same plant at day 20 of flower when I did the last heavy defoliation and side by side comparison to the day of harvest. I don't know if this is a normal harvest or small yield for OG Kush. See last pic in week 16. She will be drying for 2 weeks or so. I have been checking the stem stiffness or bendiness since the humidity fluctuates. It does not snap yet.

Week 9 | Jealousy Marker | Flowering Height holding at 78cm — the stretch is done and she's putting everything into bud development now. The main cola is stacking up nicely and the side branches are following suit. Trichome coverage is getting serious and some purple is starting to show in the calyxes, which is a welcome surprise at this stage. Conditions unchanged from last week: 25°C days, 18°C nights, 60% humidity, 16 hours natural light, 2L per plant per 24h. pH 6.2, EC nudged up to 1.4 mS/cm. Nutrient stack holding: CANNA Aqua Flores A+B at 3 ml/l each, CalMag Agent at 0.9 ml/l, Plagron Green Sensation at 0.5 ml/l, Aptus Regulator at 0.1 ml/l. Smell has kicked in — normal intensity now, the first sign of the terp profile developing. One notable discovery this week: something tunnelled up from below through the bottomless pot and exited right next to the stem at the top of the soil. A full rodent highway running straight through the root zone. She hasn't noticed — vigorous, no stress signs, business as usual. Nature finds a way. Updates every Sunday. Stay tuned.
