Harvest is finally complete, and after a proper dry and cure I’ve had the chance to enjoy the final result 🌿✂️ This grow had its challenges, especially the calcium deficiency during the vegetative stage and the small thrips outbreak in early flower, but fortunately both were dealt with in time and didn’t affect the final result as much as I expected. A good genetic always makes a difference, and this one definitely showed its potential from start to finish. Combined with the mainlining, the scrog, and a stable environment throughout flowering, it produced a canopy full of dense, frosty buds. The aroma is fantastic, the smoke is smooth, and the flavor is exactly what I was hoping for. The effect is powerful, long-lasting, and perfect for my needs. Overall, I’m really happy with how this run turned out. Every grow is a learning experience, but this one has definitely been one of my favorites. Now it’s time to enjoy it and start thinking about the next project 💚🌱

Holy. Shit. This is most likely gonna be my best plant up to this point Smell is unreal and hard to describe. Sweet and earthy but still different somehow. I think judging by the trichomes that it is largely ready to be pulled, so im going to do that over the next day or two. If anybody recommends I leave it please do say haha.

This week I defoliated. Waited three weeks into flowering, to not stress them like I did last grow. She is rewarding me with some fat bud growth at many sites. I overwatered beginning of this week, but hey seemed to have taken it well. I did another amendment. The first one last week was a test, to see how they responded, they took it well. Just compare last week to this one. The amendment I did: - 5 liters of worm castings - 2 cups bonemeal - 1 cup wood ash - 1 cup microlife I layered this on top of my pots, covering this with bio-coco (pre fertilized) to ward of gnats. The gnats have been getting less and less. They don't like the coco that much, while humidity is just the same and last week higher since I did some more watering. I watered with the perma tea. While this is pretty acidic (PH 5), I can amend with more wood-ash, if you don't and follow this recipe, don't do too much wood-ash since it will kill off your micro organisms. I lowered the light diagonally since the outer right plant is longer and closer to it. The SP 3000 is still performing as you can see. Temps were a bit higher with the lights so low, so far the Orange Hill Special doesn't seem to mind. Im totally amazed with the results so far. Despite the plant's healthy growth, the presence of fungus gnats posed a potential threat. To combat these pests, beneficial nematodes (Steinernema feltiae) were introduced into the soil. HO-HO-HO! 😀 Final week of flowering for this girl! She got a nice ice bath before going into darkness for 72 hours. This is the third time I've done this (been increasing from 24 hours - 48, and now 72) and I'm seeing a huge difference every time. Most will call this bro science, but hey, whatever works for you! And in this case, whatever works for me :) I can definitely say the red came out a LOT more with the lower temps from the lights off period, so can't wait to see how she'll look once trimmed up. Stay tuned for my harvest week post!

Hello Growmies, The final chapter of this incredible journey has unfolded, and it's time to share the bountiful harvest and reflections on the entire cultivation process. Trimming the plant was a joy, and with gentle fingers, I removed all the large fan leaves. The precision in this process revealed the true beauty of the buds, setting the stage for a smooth harvest. With care and gratitude, the plant was chopped, and the buds were hung to dry. The anticipation for what lies ahead only adds to the sense of accomplishment. The wet weight, excluding fan leaves, stands at an impressive 782 grams. The buds are massive, a testament to the efficacy of the nutrients used, particularly the Power Buds. The name seems apt, as the result is a collection of sticky, dense buds with subtle lemon notes and sweet pungent undertones. In the final moments, the plant unveiled some delightful purple hues. While I wish I could have allowed them to intensify further, it's a reminder that each grow is a learning experience. In hindsight, a slightly longer fading period would have accentuated those beautiful colors. We live and learn, and that's the essence of this journey.
