Frostbanger Plants 1-6 Week 9 May 18– 24 FLOWER 5 Nutrients : 3 gal GH Micro 20 ml GH Gro 10 ml GH Bloom 30ml CalMag 15 ml Recharge 10ml Green sensation 15ml Power buds 7.5 ml 5/18 PH 6.67, PPM 935, temp 68.5 1 ltr each 5/20 PH 6.67, PPM 1330, temp 68.5 2ltr each 5/23 PH 6.6, PPM 1570, temp 68.5 2ltr each 5/24 pics & vid Since all 6 gals are getting frosty, I did some trichome pics. The statistics on Frostbanger indicate 50-day flower. Pics show mostly clear and milky. There are a few with amber trichs and many orange pistils indicating maturation. At least 3 more weeks for maturity on these gals. I continue manual control of the environment and using 3 circulating fans and the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. They are living up to the new strain’s name. #5 is the frostiest followed by #2. Wow week 3 of flower and that much frost already. Before FastBuds announced the strain name and characteristics, I was disappointed that FBA2502 could be an indica sleepy strain but the universe provides what you need at the time. Topped both plants this week and started to train them with some stakes. Not sure if I will do a second topping or if this will be the only one, give this is an auto. In the absence of a scrog net, I'm using some stakes to try and spread the plant as evenly as possible. Still watering very little and around the sides, with the idea of making those roots stretch. I'm still using Root Juice and plant to keep using it for a few more weeks. From next watering I will start to introduce BioGrow, BioBloom and TopMax and cut out Acti Vera and Bio Heaven for now.

Right so now I flushed the hell out of this lady and the runoff now is the exact same as what's going pretty much. Also I'm super happy to see the purples coming through and also the smell has changed drastically and started smelling more like Mimosa than it did pre-flush. Going to do one last flush now and leave it 2 or 3 days then leave her in the dark for 48 hours then cut her down!

Week 9 is here and we are looking at harvesting! After checking the trichomes of just the top colas, I decided this week I was going to harvest. I am updating this post after I have dried and harvested the plant so do not have much more details. I flushed the plant this week with Flora Kleen along with terpinator and microbes. I cut down the plants and hung them up in the tent to dry using a clothes hanger with clips I got off of Amazon. It took 10 days to dry the bud and my temps and humidity would fluctuate throughout the day and night. I stayed in the mid to low 70s for temperature and humidity was at 50% at first. Then I added a humidifier and had it dry in 60% humidity. Will update the rest in the harvest update.

I’m very happy with this strain and would highly recommend. The grow went well despite having some nutrient issues on my part off the bat, the plant over stretched and burnt the main cola on the light. But overall the plant ended up very large and beautiful. I’d guess i get 3+ ounces from this plant.

Day 92 Last day. Ready to harvest. Smells nice, will update after drying.

End of week 1 veg. All looks good and plants look happy. Blueberry Auto looks like its the runt in the tent as it is a little bit behind but hopefully she will catch up.

This week, we had a lot of filling out. Violet doesn't seem to grow as tall as wide! The leaves are so pretty, it's heartbreaking to cut them. 9/13 day 37 I thought I started noticing yesterday, but today, Violet quite obviously has red hairs! Hard to notice at a distance, up close, most of the buds have definite red hairs that match my own. Happy about her recent feeding, her luster is returning, and she's more and more full every day. 9/15 day 39 Every day is crazy hair day around this camp, and Violet always shows out with her long, white pistils. Over the last couple of days, the red hairs have been drowned out by more long whites, though I don't know why the back and forth. She is still getting very droopy kind of early, and no light adjustment seems to alleviate this. I've been reluctant to turn the light up to a proper level for flower so far because of it. Can not enough light cause similar symptoms? Every couple of days, I remove a leaf or two, do some tucking to uncover bud tops, and add or adjust LST. Getting wider than taller, she's really started to fill up the cabinet! 9/17 day 41 I take Violet out of the cabinet for what will probably be one of the last times, if not the very last. One fault of our cabinet is the narrow doorway, which we probably need to widen out at some point. Her layers are so well-defined and even, it is easy to see the separate tiers when looking at her straight on. I take off four big, sexy leaves, two of them the remaining original big fan leaves from the first nodes. There are still a couple more that need to come off the very top, but I can do those later, and I don't want to shock her too much at once. I also water 1gal today, enough to barely run out to preserve those nutes from last week's feeding. She looks very tired and sad as I tuck her back into the cabinet. Hopefully she will recover for morning pics. 9/18 day 42 Violet is slow to wake today. I have to detangle all her little leaves every morning, and today is extra. I'm going to adjust her light today. I've been waiting for her to not be so droopy at night, but we're going to see if it maybe helps instead of hurts. I do a moderate raise to 750 PPFD, about 45 DLI, to see how it goes. I also notice the return of the red hairs this morning! Unfortunately, there is no smell whatsoever yet, other than plant. Everyone who sees her says how healthy she looks. Anything that was appearing as light tips has filled out with color, and the beautiful blue-green leaves are full and lush. If everything I've read about this strain is true, we should only have a few weeks left with this plant, and the buds look like they're going to be nicely formed if we stay on course. I have so much hope for Violet's harvest!
