Growdiaries Grow 22

Welcome to my 22nd grow on growdiaries. I'm going to be stricter on this grow as i have been a bit lax on the last few and let them get out of control.
My plan is no more then 12 colas between the 2 plants. I'm going to have a shorter veg period to keep them at a reasonable height. I'm also going to try to keep them away from the sides of the tent more then I normally do.
Because I may be going away shortly I'm going to start in the final pot because sods law I'll be away when they need potting up.
I'm running 2 photoperiods again, they are both from the MSNL catalogue. Plant #1 Lemon cherry gelato will be on the left looking in the tent and #2 Zoap will be on the right.
This diary is focusing on

Germination/Prepwork.

📅1/10/24 Tuesday
📋 Prepared 12L fabric pots, filled with biobizz lightmix, then gave 2L water Ec=0.25 PH=7.0/6.7. Then 1L water with katana roots @5ml/L Ec=0.3 PH=6.3/6.3
No runoff.
Placed pot into tent with no light on.
📅2/10/24 Wednesday
📋 Dropped the seed into 40ml of water with 5ml/L katana roots and 0.1ml/L neutralise at 5.00pm.
5.00pm turned light on @ 100w 80cm above the soil, Ppfd=197, 24hr DLI=17.0
10.00pm placed seed into moist paper towel.
📅3/10/24 Thursday
📋 7.30pm tap root breaking through the side of the shell so put the seed into 12L fabric pot, and placed in the tent under constant light. Can't recall ever having a tap root coming through the side before.
📅4/10/24 Friday
📋 9.00pm looks like movement.
📅5/10/24 Saturday
📋 9.00pm not broke ground properly but cotyledons are visible and looks stuck in part of the shell casing. Day 0

Germination summery.
📋 Didn't take that long for the Lemon cherry gelato to start breaking ground, she seems to be struggling to open up at the moment and is a funny yellow colour. I'll give her a few more days and see if I need a backup seed..

It was another two beautiful, sunny weeks that have now come to an end. To be on the safe side, I examined Durban Poison, Shaman and Frisian Dew more closely and found that all the ladies, with the exception of Frisia n Dew, which are in the garden, had initially developed mould in the flowers. In addition, some green caterpillars fell out of the Durban Poison when the plant was shaken. Durban Poison had also completely stopped flowering, which I found unusual. I therefore decided to harvest all the ladies, except for Frisian Dew in the garden. This Frisian Dew is only now entering its main bloom and is not yet so susceptible.
Durban Poison has developed very thick and heavy colas, followed by Shaman and Frisian Dew. See the picture with the scale.
I was able to weigh a part of the harvest after the raw trimming, then at the weekend the batteries of the digital scale were empty. It will take a few more days until everything is dried and stored in jars for maturing but one thing is for sure, it's quite a lot. The plants are still standing with remaining flowers to see how they will handle the coming bad weather.

26.4.25:
The plants were watered with 3 ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.3, containing the following nutrients:-
♡ 1/2 Tsp Sea K(elp) by Greenleaf nutrients
♡ 1/4 Tsp Ecothrive Biosys.
27.4.25:
I LST'd again by adjusting the tie downs.
For FastBuds Mystery seed auto #1 and RQS Northern Lights autoflower, this will probably be the last time I adjust the fabric ties, as they're now well in to flower.
Hulkberry was LST'd again today, She is looking absolutely beautiful 😍
Retied some branches down and added a couple of clips.
Keeping the canopy as even as possible.
29.4.25:
HulkBerry is looking great. Nice green colour, without being too dark.
The plant has taken well to the LST training.
It doesn't need adjusting much at the moment as the growth hasn't become crazy, just now.
I think next week we will be in to flower, she has 1 pistil on the lower branch. 😅
Nb: I have added this week a couple days earlier, as last week was a couple days late, trying to get back on schedule 😅

Not long untill we chop these some plants i flipped a little sooner than the rest but everyyhing is on course for a brillant finsh

Her aroma it's exactly the same that have her sisters. Very recognizable aroma, super super sweet and fruity I am Starting to feel more and more the cherry aroma. Very beautiful strain to grow. Very dense and compact nuggets. The size of the plant is not very big but her flowers are definitely top 🔝 and is gonna give a beautiful organic top harvest for me! Very recomended to you all growmies. Kthe aroma and the dense flowers will make you fall in love with her for sure. 💚✌️💦🌱❄️👨🌾

Week 9 - Day 58 - 02/23 to 2/28 2021

Very excited if this is just the first bulk week because it's easily the biggest main bud I've seen so far/still a couple weeks left on it. New lights killing it. Great Candy/Citrus smell to it / Very similar to the Dark Devil beside it in profile/build structure.
Gave all the plants mostly water feeds this week in order to avoid salt build up. Some staining on the bottom of the fabric pots from the bottom feeds so just making sure the soil is fine for the final major nute feeds before flushing in a week or so.
Made some caps with homemade thc olive oil from a friend that sent me some "Intergalactic Cable" viewing materials as well 😎 Have to use them fast but been stable for a week and not just starting to come through the gel caps, will have to get something harder next time still a lot left in the bottle.
Still clear signs of the Tobacco Mosaic/Genetic issue in the leaves but clearly not affecting anything else, might tip the top of the bud when i start the flush to have it back build on itself and see how dense I can make it once it's dried.
Other than that, the new @MarsHydroLED TSL 2000 and @ViparSpectraLED PS1500 for veg definitely made a huge difference and the buds on the Dark Devil.
Big thanks to @ViparspectraJennie for putting a new XS1000 in the mail to test on my next grow. The FB testers finally came in so excited to get some of those in the tent and under the new tester.

Howdy,
as requested by some fellow followers and growers, I took more media this time, to show the situation better. Photos have been taken in order to show the plant overall, the details of the cola and related tricomes and then there is a 4K video to better see it. I hope that you can like it ^^
Plant kept the same height: 50cm = 20 inches
Temperatures were warm, most of the week above +30° (86F), air was dry and sun was strong.
Plant got water early in the morning and in the evening after the sun.
Please provide a feedback about the maturation of the plant, this should be the 5th completed flowering week.
I am still struggling to understand why this year all the plants sucked so much in size, even comparing with other autos I grew
Last time that I grew a Sticky Orange Auto was my best asset, it came 78cm tall out of clay pot slightly larger than this year, producing 280g fresh and 58g net dry weight.
PS: Why there is no audio in my videos? They are taken with mobile and compressed with DivX converter into mkv pro.
The only big change that I did this year was to follow this advice from YouTube, they explained since auto-flowering plants have a very short living cycle, to avoid the trauma of transplantation, was better to put the cracked seed directly into the soil of the final growing pot.
So I did, because it sounded smart, but results still show a worsening compared to previous years.

Decided to harvest her she had some nice buds but unfortunately now she's a bit leafy & airy buds due to the light timer stuff up.

This girl took very well to LST and defoliating. Didn’t notice any sort of stunting from the defoliating, she chugged on as if nothing happened to her.

Another week starts. The trichomes are still clear and they will get nutes today. Watering is not needed because we had rein the last 2 days. They are smelling strong and they are sticky.
Monday and Tuesday
only water. its very hot the plants are every day dry
Wednesday
I started to flush them. they get 10 liters of pure water(Rainwater). this i will do every second day
Thursday
Very hot Day34 degree.. they got nothing
Friday
Flushing in the vening , another hot day is over
Saturday
The last days are breaking for Stress KIller. Today i stripped her. picking away nearly all bigger leaves
