Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. The Sangria is looking really beautiful, she’s Been flowering for lil over 2 weeks now so we still got a good amount of weeks for her to build a little more but she is already looking amazing, can’t wait for her to be done, smelling delicious! Ivamba little worried about how close she is to the light, but my light is as high as it can go and my plant is as low as it can go so, if anyone has any suggestions let me know. Not much to say this week, they are thickening day to day, not as much as I wish they would but still more then happy with how my first grow is going so far. I increased their nutrients as they started into week 6 of flower. Thanks for your help with the potassium deficiency over the last week, appreciate everyone helping me out ☺️

3-4 weeks to go and things are looking great in tent 1 where I have 2 Peyote Gorilla girls in an Earthbox. The stretching is complete, and the girls are finishing. This tent was a breeze. No issues with growth and a lot of nutrition the plant can use to finish. Colas are stacking and beefing up... trichomes are very evident and I believe this plant is very happy. I water the humis layer with 1/4 gallon of rainwater to keep moist. However tent 2 is a different story. I noted that the plant was undergoing severe chlorosis. I believe this is due to my re-use of this earthbox jr, has created such a strong root structure from this and previous grows, that the plant cannot uptake nutrients as required. There is plenty of nutrition in the box and I added a small amount (1/4 cup) of Craft Blend mixed with Naranja that I milled and some gnarly barley, a malted seed meal that was germinated and then stopped to trap the seed hormones and prepares the starches to be converted into fermentable sugars. So I know there is great nutrition to the plant available but something else is preventing uptake. I don't use bottled nutrients so I must wait for the food to breakdown and become plant available. At this point of maturity I want to be careful with Nitrogen... I have seen such weird affects that may cause lockout, and foxtailing and new bud growth as the plant is finishing. I will watch carefully as the plant senesces, as bud development is far ahead of development in size compared to tent 1.

02/23 - Week 3 Veg - Did some light defoliation on her inverted leaves mainly in the middle of the plant - She has definitely blown out some, will have to apply some LST on upper canopy sometime this week - Nute/Clean water feeds have become more frequent alternating once every 2 days.

------GENERAL COMMENT------ We arrived pass mid flowering as we are now starting week 5 of flower. No issues, bumped up a bit the Sensi Bloom to 2.5 after 3ml, and have seen the girls darken a bit, so i decided to go down a bit to 2ml this week, maybe stick to this dosage depending how the girls react. The tent have become small for or two ladies, no way to train them more, there is no space. Decided to move forward without a mid grow flush. Still on the 1.5l of water every other day, one base + recharge + pk booster, other with pk booster + natures candy + velokelp alternating. Today was the last Pk booster - Big Bud dose, now we will cut the Big Bud and enter with the Overdrive, the rest will be as is. ------SM.BB COMMENT------ The blueberry is darker than the AK, presenting no signs of overfert, tips are ok, and no spotting, buds are becoming fat and resinous.

Update; February 14th, 2023. From the moment I flipped to flower, they’ve been exploding with growth! They are super healthy! They grow back and fill in so fast after defoliating, no matter how heavy I go. I’ve added the supplemental lighting (Viparspectra 600) this week to really get the most I can. Figuring out a way to mount it higher.

I harvested them about a week apart. Neither one was as bulky as I hoped for, but they both frosted over incredibly well and smell a little bit like black cherry (one of the genetic donors)..but it's also a little like a burgundy wine flavor on the exhale. Very appropriately named! Plant A: 80g Plant B: 88g It's dried up into some really tight, beautifully dense nuggs. Between both plants I got about another 30g's of lower/larfy bud that I'll press for the rosin in another day or two. This strain is pure magic to grow...nothing to it really. They happily eat up whatever nutes you give them and aren't light-sensitive in the least. They stretched a little more than 3 feet from the time they were switched to flower and both plants reached 4' in total. Slightly more space between the nodes than the Sucrose Overdose, but they filled in nicely. They have a very mild aroma while growing, but it smells delightful in a jar. One pheno had "praying" fan leaves from the get-go, all the way to the end...never drooped..not even at night. It didn't have the more red coloration in the foliage and stems like the other one. But a real beauty just the same.😍 I still have one of these beans that I'll run next Fall..and prolly clone the hell out of it..👍. Special thanks to Wicked_Stix for his idea to breed this hybrid, and the magic beans!!!!!! I'll update with my smoke test and final thoughts next week some time.
