Eighth Week / 27.06.24 - 03.07.24 Week 8 was smooth sailing with no major issues to report! 🌿 We've settled into a good rhythm with nutrients: 2ml BioBizz Grow, 0.5ml CalMag, 2ml TopMax, and 2ml Bloom per liter. 🌱 Watering every three days or so, and it seems to be working well for the plants. The deficiency in Apollo F1 has improved, and the Cookies Gelatos are now developing trichomes on the sugar leaves, indicating good progress in resin production. ✨ Everything's on track, and the plants are looking vibrant and healthy!

Through week 5 of flower and all is generally good. The whole tent stinks like hell of berries, pine and earthy Kush. They’re all presenting something a little different in terms of growth but still very similar terp profiles and bud structure. Seed maturation is showing on some of the lower nodes as well. We’re getting much closer here. Hopefully not more than a couple weeks but we’ll see. #1 will go off first for sure. She’s showing a progressing N deficiency that likely isn’t fixable but it does remain possible she’s simply ending her cycle. If so, it’ll be a trait worth noting on the F2 run. Until next week, ✌️! Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. Well here we are at roughly 5 weeks of flower and I'm very pleased with the progress so far. The buds are stacking up better than I expected and the trichome production is on overdrive. I'm alternating the worm casting concertante every other watering and upped the Humboldt's Secret Calcium + Iron to yes 15 ml's every watering. This particular pheno to which I don't know how many there is has a big appetite for calcium and magnesium even iron. I'm using hydroguard root inoculate to aid in soil microbe activity and nutrient uptake. She seems to love the simplicity of how I'm doing this grow. Super charged Ocean Forest with Happy frog all purpose organic 6-4-5. This is my first Sweet Seeds genetic and if all are strong like the Gorilla Girl F1 I'm sold completely . Bilan ​Retour d'expérience sur la culture : Cette variété s'est avérée être une plante très facile à cultiver. Malgré quelques erreurs totalement involontaires au cours du run — notamment un pH monté trop haut par moments et des coups de chaleur excessive provoqués par des lampes très proches (dus à la grande taille des plantes et à des températures extérieures élevées) — elle a super bien supporté les éléments. Elle est restée saine et en excellente santé tout au long de sa vie. Le système Autopot a, quant à lui, fonctionné à merveille : simple, autonome et redoutablement efficace. ​Le calvaire de la manucure (6 heures de nettoyage) : Si la culture fut un long fleuve tranquille, la défoliation finale avant séchage a été particulièrement complexe ! En raison de sa structure prononcée en queues de renard (foxtailing) et de la densité extrême des buds, retirer les petites et grandes feuilles incrustées au cœur des têtes est devenu un travail d'orfèvre. Il aura fallu 6 heures de nettoyage intensif. Une multitude de "monofeuilles" (feuilles à une seule pale) s'étaient formées à l'intérieur même des têtes, une réaction de défense typique de la plante pour transpirer et évacuer le stress thermique causé par la proximité de la lampe. ​Conclusion du run : Je ne pouvais sincèrement pas rêver mieux pour cette session. Cette plante se classe directement parmi mes préférées de tous les temps. C'est malheureusement ma dernière culture avant la pause estivale. On se retrouve en septembre pour de nouvelles aventures où je vous réserve déjà de très belles surprises ! ######################################### HARVEST (Day 93 / June 4) ######################################### ----------------------------------------------------------- GROW SUMMARY ----------------------------------------------------------- Grown in 4x4 tent - but I only used 2x2 space because of heater and dehumidification and other plants (Outlier Z). This plant used a dedicated CMH 315 light. The plant was grown in hydroponics using a custom single-site PA hydroponics clone RDWC system with Advanced Nutrients Sensi Coco line, Microbial Mass and Orca for beneficials. I also experimented with Rapid start in the RDWC system, but I didn't see explosive root growth relying on Rapid Start as an additive to the system verse using it when starting in rapid rooters which worked well. All around a pretty easy grow and things went very well. Topped twice for a mainline structure and she really spread out. Sparkling golf ball size nugs down the branches and spaced out nicely. The scent off her was like burned rubber/tires or maybe fresh blacktop. A single water change which was only performed when switching to bloom nutrients around week 7. ----------------------------------------------------------- HARVEST ----------------------------------------------------------- No dark period and no flush. On day 93 she was chopped and hung to dry. ----------------------------------------------------------- DRYING ----------------------------------------------------------- Entire plant hung upside down for 15 days. The temps were dialed in at 60F by using the S6 intake fan pulling air from the AC through intake vent on side of the tent. Humidity was dialed in at 63%/60F for 24hr, 62%/60F for the next 48hr. Then 60%/60F for the third day and onward. AC Infinity T6/S6 exhaust and intake fans were on the setting of '2' during drying until day 7, then I could turn down to a setting of '1' once the plants were not transpiring excess moisture. Trimmed on day 18. Then the jars were left open in the tent for another 12 more days for a full 30 day dry at 60%/60F while rolling the jars frequently. Also ran dehumidifier in the tent but it only ran for 1-2 minutes every hour because the AC was doing most of the dehumidification on the intake. ----------------------------------------------------------- TRIMMING ----------------------------------------------------------- Trimming was an absolute breeze. All swelled nuggets, very little sugar leafs left to trim. ----------------------------------------------------------- CURING ----------------------------------------------------------- Flower product was transferred to 1L mason jars averaging 35g of product per jar. I added a mini hygrometer to each jar and chose not to use a boveda this time. The RH averaged 62-64% when trimmed flowers went in jars. Jars were left open in the tent for a total dry time of 30 days from harvest keeping the tent at 60%/60F. Once closed, the jars were burped once a day for the first seven days, once every other day for the next seven days, rolling jars often. The burp was only for 3-5 second for air exchange until a. 62% was maintained in the jar. ----------------------------------------------------------- YIELD ----------------------------------------------------------- * Weight calculated at 62% humidity after 30-day dry and 14-day cure. ============================== FLOWER PRODUCT ============================== 180.41g (6.44oz) ============================== TRIM PRODUCT ============================== 57g (2.03oz) ** All major fan leaves, stems, and branches removed from trim product. ============================== TOTAL OVERALL YIELD ============================== Total: 238.41g (8.51oz) ============================== SPACE YIELD ============================== 238.41g / 4 sqft (2x2 canopy) = 59.60g per sqft ============================== WATTAGE YIELD ============================== 315 Watts / 4 Square Foot (3x4 canopy) = 78.75 watts per sqft. 238.41g / 315 watts = 0.76 grams per watt ----------------------------------------------------------- PRODUCT TEST ----------------------------------------------------------- Bag appeal is top-notch. Trichome covered, with aromas of that unique 'kush' you can quickly identify based on experience. Best OG Kush I've ever tried, hands down! The flavour is kushy, smoke is smooth and definitely my favorite strain in my tote of cured harvests at the moment. I can't keep my hands off of the jars. Definitely not a daytime strain, even for experienced users, although I'll use it in the afternoon when life is throwing curve balls. The effects rise you up, then sets you right down and will wash away all that anxiety after a long day. Put it this way....if I puff a few hours before bed, I still feel it the next morning when I peel my eyes open. No joke. I'll definitely be growing this one again, maybe even next run because I'll be sad when I run out. ----------------------------------------------------------- REGRETS ----------------------------------------------------------- Not running more of this amazing plant. ----------------------------------------------------------- NEXT RUN ----------------------------------------------------------- This was the first run at my new residence so it will take some time to get it dialed in. I had some calibration issues which are now fixed. I'm going to be shooting for 1gram per watt on the next run. ----------------------------------------------------------- FINAL THOUGHTS ----------------------------------------------------------- DarkOwl is the best autoflower I've grown yet. As of day 28, the Blue Dream'Matic has been growing very vigorously with tons of branching. I have added to the plant's timelapse to include the previous weeks growth. I have begun training it wide, and considering it is not yet in its flowering stretch, it will be a pretty good sized auto. I am sticking with around 1.2ms/cm during fertigation as any higher than that produces leaf tip issues for this plant. Any lower leaf issues seem to have stopped and all the new growth is healthy. Its very close to switching over to flowering, so I will be transitioning the nutrients and updating the diary to reflect that. Thanks for reading! 👍🌱 Day 30: flowering has begun. Think I'm done giving her nutrients, might run some slf-400 through her not sure if it's necessary though. Trichs are still developing not sure how long till harvest but should be within the next couple weeks.

Day 99 for this girl. Finished her fourth flush session today and is real close to harvesting. Will give this girl one more day of light before putting her in the dark. She is super sticky and the tricones is on point.

Day 111. First is ready, second week behind, third maybe even 3 weeks behind .... Plus they are LEAFY ,!!!! Trim jail ... Wet trim for all of them - no doubts !!! Day 115. Still hanging, slowly drying and result should be decent at the end ... A week more I guess, very humid in UK ... Day 118. First trimmed - 175 g. Other is chopped ! One still grows ... Day 136. Chop day for the last one !!! Long run .... Happy Growing !!!

These future nugs started show some sugar ending week 5 20 cm between each plant And very curious on how much of a yield difference there will be between apical cut plant and whitout. Pls feel free to coment.

I was a little disappointed with yield but do have about 60g of trim that was too fluffy to bother with trimming . I’m thinking of making bubble hash
