11/3 - Today was the first day of week 5 and also the first day I could see a visibly measurable decrease in her water level between check-ins (~12 hours apart). As a result of her drinking so much water in such a short time, the ppms shot up to almost 800. I used straight tap (7.5 pH, 170ppm) to adjust since her pH was also measuring 5.3. I adjusted her with this method until she registered 5.6pH and 670ppm (1.0ec + tap, 500ppm of nutrients). I would prefer for her pH to be a bit higher (5.8, ideally), but I will settle with this for now since the water is back to just touching the basket. Over the last couple days I've been adjusting her LST to help her bush up as much as possible. I can already see the heavy Sativa influence in her compared to her sister in the tent. I can't wait to see what she will throw at me. 11/4 - I wasn't even planning on doing an update today, but I want to note a few changes. Her root bundle is over a foot long and getting more wound up every day. I removed her LST ties in order to take advantage of the ScrOG screen apparatus (see notes below). After lights came back on, she measured 650ppm and had another notable drop in water level. Currently, I am preparing another nutrient solution that closely matches what she is feeding on now. I will be upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket. I will be aiming for 1ec of nutrients/additives (500ppm + Tap on my meter, Hanna Primo .5 conversion). Tap measured 180ppm, so target ppm would be 680. Later that same day... So I finished upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket before I actually got done writing the update. Added one photo showing new 5 gallon setup. Solo ScrOG test mk1 - In an attempt to do a ScrOG, but maintain control over each bucket, while still having relatively easy access to each reservoir, I decided to throw together this little contraption. I removed the lowest complete segment of a tomato cage, leaving a short "tail" beyond the lower ring to act as a peg to insert into corresponding holes in the lid. The lower ring is 10" in diameter and the upper is approximately 12" in diameter. Each ring is 11" apart. I would prefer to have a shorter segment, but I haven't worked out exactly how to do this yet. I would prefer to set the screen height at around 6" above the bucket instead of 11". This will have to suffice for the time being while I let my latent conscious work out a solution or one is provided by the community. Above each cage will sit a coated wire fence with grids measuring ~2"x3", as shown in the above picture. 11/5 - Uploaded short video showing Solo ScrOG Apparatus in place. So wee update at the end of week 9 Haven't had any more issues since upping the nuts a bit on cal mag Have found a few bugs in the soil hopefully the sign of a good soil system :) the plants seem to be swelling fine in the last few weeks here think I may try to push them till about 75 days or so. It I guess the plants will let me know Tested 1 run of and coming out at 7.3 so bit high but everything on new/old leaves seem have ( apart from the issue I had before ) I've added a video of the bugs if people want to try to identify them for me? Just for fun or incase they can cause any issues lol

This week is going pretty good too! the bugs seem to be swelling up a little more and getting a little more sugary. I added in a video of another one of my purple punch plants (the one with he purple nugs growing)

Well! We are looking great! I filmed one time and it paid off! Will be doing more branches next run. (LONDON POUND CAKE) anyway got some good dark purple coming in strong!!

Day 96, 15th of December 2020: Wao and wao... this is what I can say. A bit late I was on holiday I usually start the week with the first day but now with the last one. So let's start with the "black sheep" of this group as she is alone here RQS Wedding Gelato. Easy growing issue free little bushy lady. Absolutely great choice of grow. Pretty much ready for Christmas but she can be cut even now lol.... And now let's speak about the Original Sensible Seeds' girls... Well Black Ghost OG similarly to RQS Wedding Gelato is calm little bushy and issue free lady.... no problem all good ready for Christmas.... Runtz Gum the thick chick with heavy big buds and excellent appearance is really amazing. I placed a stick there and fixed her to look better... It was not necessarily but i have done it. She needs more time pretty much done ny Christmas or a bit after.... Gelato from Original Sensible Seeds is similar in terms of acting such as streching and all that ... The same situation applies not much to really say we wait ;) I am really happy to have these ladies.... Well, Do-Si-Dos OG is the craziest one ever... lol.... not only due her crazy kind of streching style but the trichome developement that comes along to the fan leaf "holder" stem is pretty crazy.... Those buds are like a diamonds sticky and she would be ready to harvest but need to wait because I need to go.... I really had to fix her by placing a stick there I broke one stem but fixed as it did not come off... so crazy especially now because of the weight of the buds... now she looks even more beautiful... I think she is the most challenging grow ever. Original Sensible Seeds genetics is unique really high quality just look at them. Royal Queen Seeds as well but this is my second grow from them my first was a Green Gelato which is the same calm littlw bushy plant. Amazing very good for newbies ;) I am going on holiday again and back on 28th of December so after harvest starts. Girls will be cut after. The 7th weeks starts with tomorrow 16th of December.... Only flushing and no more nutritient will be used. Soon full report comes. Lamp is the same 11 hours on and 13 off.... The last 4 days they will get 4 days darkness and only ventilation will be working no even more water ;)

Not sure exactly when she finished I believe around 3 weeks more than stated. Again this lady too everything I had to offer, always stood proud and tall and gave me no troubles at all! A pleasure to grow and one I will run again in the future.

Probably a great week to scrog, but I am going to let her just bloom. Added some kelp meal and microbials to the al-magged and ph'd water. If you are wondering that is an old school fly trap which has been a sticky end for the fruit flies.

Water only, with a little Thrive YahWhey in the soil drench. Otherwise, a heavy defoliation, as we had a couple of high temp, high humidity days here in the Midwest. There were some worries that the girls could trap moisture. As you can tell from the video that they took the stress very well. 2 more weeks until we start looking for a harvest date. Happy Growing!

This week I focused on training — topped her multiple times to encourage a bushy structure. She responded well, showing strong growth and lots of new shoots. The stem is thickening nicely and side branches are stretching out, promising a good number of future bud sites. Very happy with how she’s shaping up so far and she ready for training.

It has been a pretty good week for the girls. They are well into flower now. Unfortunately I noticed some brown spots starting to show up. I suspect the soil got a bit hot, so even though this is amended soil mix I watered them with a bit of run off at the end of this week to get some of those excess nuts out. They are starting to smell, and it’s quite a floral aroma, something I haven’t tried before. I imagine they will take another 3 weeks before the finish line... maybe even 4. It’s really nice so see how even they look, the same pheno 8 out of 8. Hope you’re enjoying the ride! 🍀

May 4: nice spring day so the plants were outside in the afternoon. Some direct sun but mostly in the small greenhouse to stay warm out of direct sun. Still spraying with water to make up for low humidity, but also starting to water soil in a circle around the plant. Using Monster Maxx this year. Used last year in my compost tea and the root balls were very dense and intricate so it seems to work as advertised. Will still be mostly used for compost tea but also according to label direction of 2 mL/L once a week. May 5: mixing soil and sorting out grow bags for this year. Putting some spruce cones in the bottom to ensure air gets to the roots at the bottom. Indoor growers often use clay balls for this apparently but I’ve got lots of spruce cones handy and they’ll do the trick. May 6: looking good with all three looking very similar at this early stage. May 7: looking good. Room temp could be higher but oh well. May 9: beautiful warm spring day so I decided to transplant the chosen seedling into the final container. It’s also now warm enough to stay outside overnight. #seedsman420growoff #seedsmanseeds

Another two weeks down, and the tent’s definitely alive and kicking. Some branches started leaning over, so I tied up the colas before things got out of hand. I pulled CalMag for a bit, thinking it was leaving residue in the reservoir — but turns out the real culprit is probably the Connoisseur Coco base. Kinda sad, because I really like these nutes, but looks like they’re not the best match for hydro-style Autopots. They leave sediment. Time to move on. I added a 25-micron filter to the circulation pump, and that helped quite a bit — though it’s still not perfect. Next grow will be with CANNA Coco — hoping for a cleaner run. Lemon Orange already looks like it's getting flushed, even though I haven’t started yet. Gonna give it two more weeks and then probably chop. King’s Juice? That thing exploded — totally outgrew the scrog because I didn’t bend it in time. Bit of a jungle now, but I’m rolling with it. Oh — and they’re drinking like crazy: 2 liters a day from the res, easy.

Ladies and gentlemen we are on day 82 and this girl is no more, through the loophole I can't find one clear trichome I understand the white hairs but I also understand the trichomes is what we go by.. also wanted to get her down because I was worried of possible root issues and did not want to ruin such a beautiful little plant.. Divine seeds has some great genetics this thing was topped and in such a small cup handled the training well and rewarded me with what I'm assuming is going to be between 28 and 35 grams so I'm thinking over a gram per ounce of dirt that's not too shabby.. I hope everyone in the contest is doing well and I hope everyone else is doing just as good.. we are all in this together, to be able to grow our own medicine at our own discretion and know what we're smoking is worth its weight in gold.. again big shout out to Divine Seeds for putting together this competition I thought I would do something a little different to stand out by doing a mini pot grow I don't know if it'll get me a trophy or not but it was sure fun growing it and was very beneficial to me in my personal development as a grower.. until next time folks and a month or so I will have the smoke report.. Now I know during the cure I will probably lose around 1/8 of my total weight but still I will be definitely over 40 grams my guess will be at least 42 to 43 .. now for 28 Oz of soil I could not be happier.. between the genetics being great and the plants loving my feeding remedy all has been well.. I want to thank Divine seeds for throwing such an awesome contest and giving us enough time to do it right and also for providing the seeds but not just that they really hooked it up..
