The purpling of the branches really make this lady something special. In some of the shots it might look like her leaves are yellowing, but it's just the angle of the light. You can see on the photo that I took from the top, that all leaves are a healthy dark green. At least I now have proof that she's a lady. She's short and stubby, but I'm not really growing for amount. I just neeed 50g, after all (hehe) Day47: She grew like a demon overnight. I'll check the height tomorrow.

Ich denke die Ernte wird massiv ausfallen. Die Blüten sind kompakter als erwartet. Übrig bleiben der kleine Phänotyp und der ganz große, wobei der große bei weitem noch nicht fertig ist. Der kleine braucht nicht mehr viel länger, evtl noch eine oder zwei Wochen. Die nächsten Pflanzen warten schon auf den Einzug 🏻

🌱 Animal Mints — Week 6 From Seed (≈ Week 2 Flower / Pre-Flower Phase) Quick Recap for New Readers This run includes multiple Animal Mints plants, all treated similarly, but we’re mainly cataloging two reference plants to clearly show how timing affects structure and development: • Plant A → 12/12 from seed • Plant B → ~15 days under 16/8 veg, then flipped to flower Same genetics, same room, same feeding — different timelines. That’s the whole experiment. ⸻ Plant A vs Plant B — Why Two Plants? • Plant A (12/12 from seed) • More compact • Slower early structure • Responds very well to gentle leaf bending and light training • Still stretching and stacking nicely • Plant B (short veg period) • Bigger frame • More developed branching • Further along in flower at the same “seed age” • Took light cleanup / lollipopping better This small veg window made a huge difference in structure and flower progression, and that’s exactly why we’re documenting both. ⸻ ✂️ Canopy Work (No Heavy Defoliation) This week we did selective leaf removal, not a true defoliation: • Opened airflow and light paths • Removed shaded or blocking leaves • Light lollipopping on Plant B only • Plant A kept mostly intact, just leaf bending and spacing Goal wasn’t stress — it was space, airflow, and efficiency. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Update • Day Temp: ~28°C (successfully raised) • Humidity: ~65% • PPFD: ~600–850 (depending on height & position) • CO₂: ~900 ppm (now stabilizing around 909 ppm) As outside temps stayed cooler, the room naturally became its own heat source: • Increased plant mass • Higher light intensity • Under-canopy lighting added No forced heaters. I'm very happy with how my plants turned out and can't wait to get going again. They're now hanging in my tent so hopefully dried and ready to trim by Christmas day at the latest. I will update on weight when dried and on the smoke when cured.

I harvested a week earlier , because I spotted some minor bud rot in lower branches. I don't know why, bud I could not see any sign of bud rot in the bigger buds. I just found them , because I found some twisted sugar leaves, which is in most causes a bullet proof sign. The plant overall seemed to be in a pretty good condition, with minor nitrogen deficiency and some potassium/phosphorus. The last to, I should have added a small amount more, to make the buds a bit more dense, but the current state is ok. Although , it was a complete outdoor grow, pushing bud density would probably have gotten to a more a more bud rot state. This plant is really easy to grow, she almost runs for itself and does need little to no care. I chose a big pot , 25 liters , added 12 liter of light Mix and filled the rest with Coco and perlite. After that, I barely added nutrients and just waited for signs of deficiency, which barely occurred. Aroma: The aroma ist very sweet and some kind of fruity, but not generic , it is outstanding in its own kind of way. You're definitely missing lemon scents, but I think it's more of orange . There are no signs of earthy , peppery or stinky smells. Just pure sweet fruit. Unfortunately it means, I can not smell " cookies". But I thing this also happens to a lot of " cookie" strains and is often exaggerated, if claimed. I hung her up in my whine fridge , 16°C and 60% rlf for the first few days. After that, I turned rlf down to about 52%. She smells exactly like she did outdoors. Her smell does not hit you in the face. But if you smell it, it is really pleasant and calming. The smoking test be added , after I tested it for a few days. Overall in growing this variety, I rate this strain 8/10. I would would give this strain more stars, if I could really smell cherry and cookies. Unfortunately, the cherry smell combines more with the overall fruity smell, which makes it hard to isolate it. I can definitely recommend this strain to beginners, if they seek a user friendly hybrid with a guaranteed nice (bag)-appeal and reliable sweet, but not kushy aroma. A pro grower will definitely hit bigger scales, if grown indoors and preferably in Coco / hydro. I hope you enjoyed my conclusion and take it consideration, when you plan to buy some beans. Welcome to my FastBuds GSC grow-off diary! I plan on growing 2 seeds from the same package - one using a 950ml Gatorade bottle dwc system, and the other sharing a 64L reservior DWC. I'll grow them both while trying to be as simiar in techique as i can, but i'm more interested in how the 950ml does, so might not be super picky about doing things exactly the same, heh. I'm making this all up as I go! Enjoy the ride! Week 0 ====== Day 0.1 - 2 seeds in water for 24hrs Day 0.2- 2 Seeds in wet paper towel, in a plastic bag for 24-48hrs until taproot is out Day 0.3 - 24hrs later - one seed has sprouted a tail Day 0.4 - 2nd seed sprouted tail; put both seeds into rockwool Day 0.5 - 1st seed sprouted from rockwool Day 0.6 - 1st seed doing well, 2nd seed no change Day 0.7 - Checked 2nd seed and hasn't budged, so it's a dud. Started a new seed (had 3 GSC, so all good!) Day 0.8 - 1st seed into the 1L DWC bottle! Day 0.10 - 3rd seed germinated - into rockwool to sprout. DWC Prototype ----------------- - 950ml Gatorade Bottle - 2x small air stones - 1/2" overflow tube where i want the water level to be - Nutrient top-feed line The reservoir below is 19L (~15L of solution) with a small 80gph water pump on lowest setting, which will be on a timer for 15 mins every 3 hours (at first - we'll see how that goes). The water pumps nutrient solution up to the Gatorade bottle and the overflow goes back down into the reservoir.

Shes actually already pre flowering the bud sites are already purple so I'm super excited to see how dark this one gets. I've seen this variety almost turn black it's so dark purple.
