Couldn't wait for new pots to be delivered so I used a couple old ones I had and improvised with the other 3 and made some from instant noodle pots 😋 I vacuumed and disinfected every inch of the tent today before I put the little ladies in there, I have to say it is much brighter now...didn't realise how dusty things could get! Hopefully removed all traces of pollen. I'll mist/spray these regularly with water as a precaution.

Ai Gude Growmies und Willkommen zur Woche 8! Der Main Bud hat ordentlich noch an Volumen zugenommen wie auch die anderen Seitentriebe. Mittlerweile kommt sie richtig in Herbst Farbe und wird immer bunter 💜❤️💚

3. November Alle drei Pflanzen weiterhin topfit. Trauermücken aufgetreten. Habe das abgelaufene Päckchen nematoden für die runtz genutzt. Hoffe es bringt was 4. November Cookies Gelato hat den harten Mainlinecut bekommen. Spitze wurde entfernt, Seitenteile wurden direkt danach abgeschnitten. Sie wird’s schon wegstecken. Tropimango und runtz geht’s gut :) Cookie gelato hat bereits wenige Stunden später die Blätter wieder hoch gestreckt. Stagniert. 5. November Alles gut. Die Schnitte wurden gut verkraftet. Triebe wachsen wieder Cookies gelato ist nun 21 Tage alt. Tropimango ist nun 18 Tage alt. Runtz ist nun 7 Tage Alt. 7. November Cookies gelato wächst. Sobald die Klammern da sind wird sie runtergebunden Tropimango hat schnitte und Lst bekommen. Topping werde ich noch abwarten. Runtz wächst 8. November Cookies gelato hat LST + mainlineschnitte erhalten. Wurde nicht mit gießen kombiniert da ich gestern gegossen habe. Tropimango erneut LST. Runtz wächst. Sieht aus als würde sie langsam ins Wachstum wechseln. Erster Triebe am einzahnblatt kommen. Dreizahnblatt erst frisch entwickelt. 9. November Cookies gelato wurde das erste mal zusätzlich mit Sugar Royal und calmag versorgt. Hab’s davor vergessen 😅 Shit Happens. Wurzeldünger gibt es konstant weiter. Runtz wurde mit wurzeldünger und calmag versorgt Tropimango hat noch sehr feuchte Erde. Keine Ahnung wieso.

🙌12/12 to bloom.🙌 I changed the light cycle last week because I was tired of the vegetation phase. and a lil bit lazy w and upload - sorry! Some side shoots were removed, then I let them rest for a while (3 days) before switching to 12/12. I can still see the (N) surplus inside my substrate, this will NEVER EVER HAPPEN AGAIN💀 we'll see how this affects flowering 😎 Due to the inner substrate of cheap soil, which has a poor NPK value, I now perhaps have a construction site that can be worked on. The plants continue to look very good, except for the (N) surplus and a little (K) blockage which I can remedy this with some Epsom salts.

12 days to full transplantable roots. Right on schedule as expected. Moved 6 of the 12 clones (1 per plant) into a new 45L Rez that I cobbled together in an evening. Just small enough to fit into the cabinet. Hopefully the roots don’t choke each other out for territory while we work to reveg, re-flower and ultimately seed em all for the new F3 line. We’ll pick the best buds from the lot for the next testing run once we see what the pheno variation looks like from the main run in the tent. It’s a process and annoyance not to be yielding bud off a grow cycle but it is what it is if you want your own signature stuff. Alls good for now. Let’s just hope that the 6 coats of paint I threw on the lid is enough to keep out the grow light penetration🤞. Shoulda used black, whatever.

End of Week 9 of Flower. I can just taste those buds now! The smell is intoxicating and the view is picturesque. There is definitely a noticeable difference between the two pheno's but I suspect both will pack a good punch. There has been some purpling in some of the top leaves which I expect will increase with the drop in temperature the last week or so. I cant wait to get some good pictures at the end of the week as Ive decided the chop day will be this coming Sunday. The clash of yellow, purple and green is always my favourite so I plan to capture as much as possible since the next update will be jam packed with pictures of the girls just before their chop and after 48 hours of darkness to get the last of that resin production from the plant. I will also take some pics of the hanging plants in the drying cupboard. The reason I am leaving my plants in darkness for 48 hours before they get chopped, is that it has been long belived that this practice will increase the last of the thrichome production and some say increases potency. There has been a recent study in the Netherlands which does confirm increased resin production for plants left in 48 hours of darkness (they also tested 24 hours darkness but found 48 was better) at the end of their flower cycle. The chop has been planned to be pretty straight forward where I will just be taking off the main fan leaves and leaves with no thrichomes as well as chopping off the larfy/popcorn buds which will go straight in the freezer for a fresh frozen bubble hash run. I dont bud wash my flower as my tent gets a regular clean each week and always gets a full deep clean when every harvest is over and besides, its only me and my friends that smoke it! The drying cupboard I use for drying is a small cupboard designed for storing and drying clothes which I have put a carbon filter and fan as well as a small desk fan to circulate the air as well as a small dehumidifier just incase there is an increase in humidity. So the basics of drying is that you want the area where you are drying to be dark and fairly cool (its recommended to be between 15 and 22 degrees C), have a humidity level between 45% and 55%. I aim for around 21 degrees C temperature and 50% humidity. The drying time can vary depending on strain but its recommended to dry the buds for 7 - 10 days and I will explain further about how to tell if your bud is done drying and is ready to be cured on the next post. Drying is very important as you can affect all your hard work if the conditions arent right and the bud ends up too dry (luckily these days there are ways to fix bud thats too dry) or you end up with mouldy ganja which isnt save to smoke. Its also believed that a good long dry in good conditions helps increase potency and also has been shown to reduce anxiety. Week 6(Bloom): My vacation was hell for my poor plant 😥 I set up a 7 gallon bucket with a pump and timer. I didn’t test it before I left… The bucket was lower than the plant so I’m assuming once the pump kicked on the rest of the water siphoned into the plant. So she probably took the entire 7 gallons of water on day 1 and staved the entire time I was gone. When I came home she was sitting in about 2 inches of water. The entire tent was flooded. She looked like hell, leaves were showing signs of some deficiencies I haven’t seen before. I let her dry out for 2 days. It was tough to do, but I wanted to make sure that there was enough air to the roots after that much water for so long. I gave her a full does of nutrients. I really hope she bounces back from this. With all of that happening she still has matured quite a bit, the buds have sized up a bit. I feel this setback of a week will really affect my yield. Better luck next time I guess, and no more vacations… I should have taken pictures of it immediately following my return, but it was really hard to stomach. I didn’t want to really show that off. But my current pictures make it look pretty decent. If you look close at the buds in the picture you can really see the damage done.
