Start of week 5 in flower. Thursday and I can see the buds getting bigger. Every morning I empty the reservoir of about 1 liter of solution and add 6 liters of fresh pH adjusted nutrients. I am hoping the video I take tomorrow on Sunday day 1 of week 6 will show changes. So far I am pleased. Tomorrow the beginning of week 6 I will be dropping the Diamond nectar and reducing the armour SI and increasing the Koolbloom liquid.

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. Hello again guys and welcome to day 89! The girls are taking their time but finally the trichomes are turning milky. As you can see from the videos, they still aren’t quite there yet. I really want them to reach their maximum potential instead of rushing it. I think in maybe a week or so they should be ready! Thanks for stoping by

I'm happy with what i'm seeing :) The cookies are stacking up like crazy, gonna have some serious cola's. The stretchy Cookie is back on track since i started making her own feed @ 70% strength of the others, she seems to like it. Aficionado French Connection Rossa Corsa Beautyfull plant all around, tight noding and big *ss leaves Def a indica dominant pheno. I'll be keeping a close eye on her deu to lot of reviews talking about Herm issue's. Gorilla breath. She took of like crazy from Day 1, she sprouted a week later than the rest and now she is the biggest among the bunch. She's a verry easy to grow strain, even though she,'s not as stacked as the Cookies. I'm expecting a decent return from her, curious to the outcome of her Wel that's it Growmies Rock on💚

This plant only started flowering after I switched it to 12-12 Not an autoflower This plant also has a mystery graft! I grafted a few and only one survived but as I did not label them I’m not sure what it is Could be RQS royal Cush or northern lights automatic both indica plants suppose to be autos. Bare in mind this royal jack is sativa! It seams to be ok I will be providing it more light to incourage it to flower Looking forward to seeing what the flower will be like.

Day 39 and overdue and update!: Another slow week for the ladies and waiting on my finishing touches to the room before I can put the tanks in and let them get off to the flying start they want to do !. I have nipped the small 5th nodes out and been encouraging them to quadline a little but they are still too little to put the pressure on yet . Now time is more available I can get busy on this run finally. I expect some nice results with these genetics

Day 144 23/09/24 Monday (Start of week) De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 with calmag today. Seeing her starting to really take shape now, buds forming well, trichomes now flooding in. She's looking good 😍 Day 146 25/09/24 Wednesday De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 today with Plagron PK13-14. Day 148 27/09/24 Friday Feed again today using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6 with calmag. Picture and video update 😎 Day 150 29/09/24 Sunday (End of Week) De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 only today. She is now exploding with bud sites 🤤 Will lollipop at end of week to allow better focus on tops. Day 64 my baby is going really well by now, she s been running fast until now and I think that’s enough with fertiliser. From today o start my flush, I will give today my last dose of regulator and from next irrigation just on controlled water until the end of maturation, I want this baby to eat everything . day 65 started flushing. ph controlled water at 6.0 i think 20 more days at max before m Day 68 First check with micro today. The baby looks already milky and amber on the top buds but the rest of the plant is still transparent. I’ll wait at least until this weekend for a re check maybe I’ll cut her in two rounds. As I be been watching a lot with micro I noticed so many dust and other stuff on the buds so I think I’ll wash her in water. Today watered ph 6. Let’s see! 🌱🔥🌱🔥🌱🔥🔥

Week 5 started off a bit rough. Continuing to over nute the plant babies, I realised I should flush and step back a little. The flush helped a lot. I keep the plants outside on days where the weather was good, and put them back inside to maintain 20/4 light schedule. I defoliated a large fan leaves at the bottom of the plants, as well as any of the yellowing leaves. This, coupled with the flushing, really seemed to perk them up. I trained some more of the branches and tucked away fan leaves blocking bud sites. All 5 plants are flowering, with B#2 (the untopped one), leading the charge with a solid main cola. I'm surprised by how little they stretched, but perhaps that has something to do with me nuking them with fertiliser at a critical point. Eh.

Semana tranquila. Algunas hojas inferiores se están poniendo amarillas por falta de luz. Este cultivo decidí no quitar hojas y dejar que las plantas tuvieran el mínimo de estrés, por lo tanto las hojas inferiores no reciben luz. Las flores han aumentado bastante de tamaño y ya comienza a oler bastante rico el cuarto. Están consumiendo prácticamente dos litros de líquido al día. Buenos humos para todos!

All plants harvested after 56h of total dark. I love the quantity and even more the quality of buds. Now, time to let them dry. All sugar leaves are in the freezer, ready for cooking oil infusions. I did trim most of them, but some smaller buds will be dry trimmed after drying. I did not measure wet weight, I just dont find it useful at all. I will upload harvest when buds are dry and measure the dry weight. Cheers!
