Hi all 🧑‍🌾 Welcome to my 🍌💜👊 week update. Hope everyone keeping well and having a great week😁 Thank you so much for so much support on this bananas ride 🙏💜💚💜💚 Everything still going pretty well. Girls are developing and stretching like crazy. Athena currently Dec 14 90cm and main stem of Xena is not far of this height either. Unfortunately noticed first signs of calcium deficiency(my opinion) on Athena. Thankfully started feeding both girls with calmag weeks back but the dosage wasn't not enough for Athena. Started small treatment very next day on Dec 11 (see description below) I belive got my baby back on right track. Week 9 Dec 11-17 Dec 11 Watering was planned for Tuesday but due to calcium deficiency decided for a little treatment. Watered both girls with mixture of reduced content of growth nutes by 50% calmag at 1.2 ml per ltr. Reduced solution PH to 6.2 as apperently it's ideal for calcium consumption. Over period 4h I have watered Athena with 5ltr with couple runoffs. Xena 3ltr. Total of 7-10 leaves affected mainly at top colas close to the light. Dec 12-13 Purely observation and all looking well. Of course all affected leaves will progres of showing signs but good news is that growth and development booming and don't see any new leaves with symptoms. Very nice trichomes development in recent days and more and more colours. Dec 14 Second watering for this week 6.5l Increased calmag to 1.4ml per ltr and if still things will be looking well reduce to 1 or 1.2 on next feeding. Dec 15 Very nice respond on yesterday feeding. They definitely fatten over night and getting more and more frosty. Will need to remove some foliage soon as getting extremely bushy again. Dec 17 Xenas main stem top cola almost touched the light today. Tied her to left side of the cabinet, applied selective defoliation on both girls, tied few branches to netting and on the end of this busy day a third watering for this week. 7 ltrs beetwen both. Runoffs Xena PH6.4 Athena 6.3. Very nice week have to say. I belive that calcium deficiency on Athena is no longer a case here and both girls developing very nicely. the girl looks good, the leaves are a little burnt, but it's really not a big problem. she doesn't have much time left until the finish:) I'm on vacation, so I can't take pictures myself, that's why I asked someone to visit her several times a week :) I'll be with her in a week :) ❤️

It has been another amazing week of the plants growing. I have been watching as the Fruity Freak leaves become progressively more fern-like, and ornamental as a result! Based on my Banizzle grows, I knew I needed to understand plant nutrients in a more meaningful way if I wanted these plants to thrive. So, I decided to get a soil test (see Ref. 1 below on how to perform a test) to understand what nutrients my plants needed. The report I received advised that I needed to add 200 lbs/acre of nitrogen, 150 lbs/acre of phosphorus, and 190 lbs/acre of potassium (see picture labeled Pic.1 (FYI you can't see these images unless you login to growdiaries)). I then researched what to do with my results (Ref. 2 helped), and I figured out that my nutrient needs of 200-150-190 fall close to a 2-1-2 ratio. I then looked at different types of organic fertilizers (see Ref. 3 and Ref. 4) and considered that I already had a 3-10-5 fertilizer (Vermibloom) on hand. I discovered Dr Earth’s Alfalfa Meal is 2-1-2 and includes beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizae (to promote healthy plant growth and disease resistance). However, I knew I would be low on nitrogen if I only used those two fertilizers. Therefore, I decided to buy some blood meal (12-0-0). I also liked that blood meal is more fast acting while the other two are more moderate. I hunted around for a solid fertilizer calculator and found an amazing tool from the University of Georgia Extension (Ref. 5). I entered all three fertilizers into the calculator, and it kicked out the exact amount of each fertilizer I needed to apply to 1 square foot (see Pic. 2). As I am using 10-gallon fabric pots (that can hold 1.5 cubic feet, but I put stone on the bottom and there’s space left at the top) I decided to use the one square foot application rate as I can always add more later, but I can’t take it away. Not only did I want to understand the nutrients I needed, but I also wanted to understand the structure of the soil (as it was not included in my test results). North Dakota State University has a nice page that discusses this (Ref. 6), and I performed a soil ribbon test (see Video 1) based on this information. I determined my soil to be medium textured (which is great), but I have seen occasional water pooling on the surface, suggesting that it may be more of a medium-fine. This means adding peat moss, coco coir, or other amendments might improve drainage (and plant hydration) and allow for roots to grow more easily. In the long run, I plan to use compost to enhance the soil structure and nutrients. I filled the bottom of my 10-gallon fabric pots with a ½” of pea stone to allow for drainage (Pic. 3). I then partially filled two 5-gallon buckets with topsoil from near where I will plant (but not in an area the roots will reach). I used a digital scale to measure the amount of fertilizers recommended by the calculator (Pic. 4, 5, and 6) and added it to one of the 5-gallon buckets (see Pic. 7). I mixed the fertilizers into the soil as evenly as possible (Pic. 8 and 9). I then poured a two-inch layer of non-fertilized soil, then peat moss, and then fertilized soil (in a roughly 2:1:1 ratio) and blended them together. I repeated this until the pot was full (getting additional soil as needed), and then I repeated the process for the other three pots. I set the filled fabric pots in my garage (Pic. 10) for two days to allow any upset bugs to flee into my garage instead of my house. I then moved the pots (wrapping them in a contractor garbage bag to prevent making a mess) into the room with the grow light. I placed a board on top of the fabric pots to insulate the plants (in their smaller pots) from the cold soil (Pic. 11). Once the soil in the fabric pots reaches room temperature, I will transplant. (Ref. 1) This video shows the method I used to take a soil sample. I didn’t have a field to test, so I took four samples from the area where I will eventually plant outdoors and blended them together. Week 3. oh my days, the smell is incomprehensible, truly exceptional sweet and super tangy, I have never smelled anything so tangy

So far the best plants here without a doubt are the Grapefruits witch are covefed in frost, followed by the Kola Kushes than are not as frosty but are doing well, and finally the Ble Dreams wich are being absolutely disapointing, with hughe internodal spaces with only a few sad calyxes growing on them...

This was my 1st photoperiod grow on growdiaries and I'm glad I tried these Fast flowering photoperiods for it. Big thanks to Heather and the Fastbuds team. I haven't managed to try the Tropicana Cookies auto yet so this photoperiod fast version was definitely a new adventure. She grew more squat and bushier then i was expecting and her shape really did remind me of pineapple express. To be honest she was great to grow. Because this grow was going so good I decided to switch back to photoperiods for the next few grows i just wish i had left her in veg for 1 more week. Average 153w/hr Total g/W=0.89g/W Power used for grow=508.78Kw @0.30p =£152.63 Each gram cost £1.12 (not including larf). The buds have been curing for nearly 2 weeks so I haven't had a sample yet. There will be more pictures added once I try the buds and write up a smoke review but for now I'll just leave a video of the grow. Day 57 - Starting week 9 and was gonna give the girl her first feeding today but soil was still a little damp so held off another day. She’s definitely looking better than I expected. Can’t wait to see her when she’s done. Day 58 - She finally dried up after the flush and upped the cal-mag, hoping to correct her deficiency, so time will tell. Gave her the first feed of the week since flushing her. Looks like she might have a little PK deficiency as well so upped the PK as well. Bud are definitely looking pretty nice though. Day 59 - Overall bud growth is looking good but I’ve upped the cal-mag and she’s definitely still spotting and yellowing. Thinking it might not be getting enough PK by looking at some deficiency charts but still a rookie and really am not sure. Gonna try upping the PK next feed and see what happens. Other than the leaves, buds are still fattening and smell amazing. Any experts have any input? Day 60 - Gave the girl a healthy dose of water and cal-mag tonight so we’ll see what happens. Though just checked the trichomes and there’s not many clear left so I don’t know if she’s got more than two weeks or so left. Fingers are crossed that she makes it, think she’ll be ok. Day 61 - Buds are still stacking and fattening so not too concerned anymore about the cal-mag deficiency. Think this girls got about 7-10 days left going by the trichomes. Day 63 - End of week 9 and all looks good! Thinking about chopping this week sometime. Pistils are starting to shrivel and no new ones coming. Trichs look like it’s close to being ready too. All in all, even with the cal-mag deficiency, she’s looking good.

The grow began with great anticipation for these two legendary strains: 420FastBuds Blue Dream and 420FastBuds Moby Dick. Both strains demonstrated strong initial vigor, living up to their reputations. After planting, the seeds of both Blue Dream and Moby Dick sprouted quickly, with healthy roots emerging after just 32 hours. This rapid germination was a promising sign of the robust growth potential these strains are known for. At the 44-hour mark, the seedlings were introduced to their first light. Both Blue Dream and Moby Dick responded well, showing strong early development. The stems appeared sturdy, and the initial leaves were vibrant and healthy. With such a solid start, the grow journey for Blue Dream and Moby Dick is off to an excellent beginning. The fast germination and quick adaptation to light suggest these plants are well on their way to becoming the potent, resilient specimens they are famed for.

Je pense que la maturité va arriver une fois les pistils passés du blanc au orange. J'ai vu que les trichomes commençaient à tourner ambré sur les deux plantes ! ça ne va pas tarder ! ;) :)

RSV11 has been growing great. She got lollipopped today. I also did some hst with a selective defoliation as well. She has been growing strong and dominates the other plants in the room. Everything has been going smooth since the pest issue. The Lemon Oranges are biests. 100% healthy and good looking/smelling and already full of trichomes. They are the fastest Ladies and a good week ahead in comparison to the other plants. The Blueberry Pankaces are showing some nitrogen deficencies because the bottom fan leaves turning yellow, but nothing serious. Maybe they are Just heavy feeder. The terps on the BBP are very sweet and fruity. The radical Juice ist the smallest due to little space and smaller pot size. But really nice aroma already. The buds are getting bigger everyday. PK 13/14 this week. 19-26 Celsius 55-65 RH Lights 100%

May 24th : Went on a mini vacation and came back to my girls just growing strong!! wooo! can't wait to see these girls just explode as i'm flipping them to flower tonight! I'll be adjusting their nutrients soon and logging that as well! Tonight I just did a plain water / flush on the girls. Going to slowly lower the lights down to probably around 12 - 14 inches and try to keep it at around that height for the rest of the grow! It blows my mind how quickly these things have shot up.. Guess they don't call it weed for no reason!! P.S. The brackets i'm using to hold up my fans are actually an Ikea Wine bottle holder that my wife had, I cut it into three pieces cleaned it all up and zip tied it to the pole. Then hung the fans from the top of the tent with a quick adjust light rope. Now all I gotta do is push the fan up or down to where I want and tighten the light rope! works great!! May 25th : Got a new little Hanging bulb for in the tent that I can move around for pictures. I'm thinking i'm going to pick up another but it sure helped with the overexposed photo's! Can't believe how much they shot up over their first night at 12/12. This is going to be insane! May 26th : Opened the tent to pretty much all the girls praying! Sadly I must have miss watered the front right one. Oh well Soaked her good I'm sure she will be rocking again in no time.. Stretched them out a bit more after the photo's. I think maybe only a few more days of really finishing the LST with the scrogg net. May 27th : Welp even after lst and bending the hell out of these girls after last night's photo, they are showing no signs of slowing down! It's beautiful! Had to move my lights up about 5 inches as they shot up so close! May 28th : I am officially done with all lst and hst training and i'm gonna let them grow wild! Going to do another 1/3 str veg nute feeding tonight it will be their last veg feeding from this point on i'll be onto the flowering cycle of nutes. I plan on starting all Flower nutes at 1/2 strength and ramp up according to how the girls respond. Saw my first signs of Budding tonight Sorry for the overexposed pic on it but I realized it after the lights came on! I'll take more close ups tomorrow! (edit: changed my mind! decided to just go ahead and start all the flowering nutes also! will update log) May 29th : Not a whole lot to report, had to move my fans up as the girls were growing dangerously close. It's amazing to see this stretch, and to imagine it's hardly even started! May 30th : Opened my tent up to an explosion of growth. Humidity levels were way higher than what I wanted due to lack of air movement through and under the canopy. Decided it would be best to Get to the Lollipopping tonight. Put up some before and after pics of our crazy lollipopping adventure! Can't help but feel like I just mutilated the hell out of them.. Hope I didn't take to much!🙏 Guess we will find out! This marks the last day of the first week of flower! See ya all next week!

After 5 weeks I switched my light on 12/12.on this week I'm gonna start to adj more mills nutrient for flowering .

This girl is coming along really nicely starting to see a bit more too her now. I have up'd the big bud nutrients this week so hopefully it "puts the big in your buds" increasing both their size and quality! It has been about 2 weeks now since I nearly snapped a branch clean off. I strapped and propped the snapped branch to the main stem as soon as it happen but when I check it the next day it had slipped I did worry as I wasn't sure how long it had been apart but I re-strapped it and hoped for the best. So far the branch still looks healthy and I haven't noticed any issues with it at all. The branch looks as if it is healing really well so hopefully she pulls through. Happy growing 🌱
