1/28/24 - Day 83 - Here we are on day 83 and the trichomes are looking good. I bet one week, if not two weeks before I start to flush with water. There are some photos of the Trichomes a couple of weeks ago and then again today. 1/31/24 - Day 86 - The buds are starting to get FAT and grow outward. Tons of new buds coming from the buds. Sounds werid but the buds are growing buds now. The smell is out of this planet strong. Im looking forward to the next couple of weeks!

The girls look really nice, growing strong and fast, except 1, I’m growing 2 Alakazam from Seedmakers and 2 Tangerine Dream from Barney’s. T There’s one Alakazam that has presented problems since germination. Some of the leaves have yellow-brown dots, most of her root system is healthy, but it has some brown areas, it seems kinda weak overall, it’s the one that has grown more but the one showing problems. The other Alakazam and the 2 Tangerine Dream are looking really nice. Have been doing 50% nute strength feeding, adjusting ph level daily and showing them a lot of love. Should I do something different with the Alakazam or is it just a weak seed? Thanks!

Woche 8 ist vorbei. Strawberry banana Auto: buds werden zusehends schwerer, ein gassy stechender erdbeergeruch erfüllt das Zelt. Sie übertreffen die anderen mit ihrem Duft. Die ersten unteren Fächerblätter vergilben, sie ist im Endspurt. Der Mutant ist etwas schneller als seine Schwester. Og kush Auto: hier sind wir bei beiden Pflanzen recht weit fortgeschritten. Fette buds voller Harz und süße, Zitrusfrüchte, etwas Kiefer und Benzin im Geruch. Die ersten unteren Blätter verfärben sich ins violette. Purple Punch Auto: Die hintere ist von allen am nächsten an der Ernte. Trichome sind überwiegend milchig. Denke, in einer Woche ist sie schon fertig.die zweite braucht noch etwas länger. Light is set to 80% from now on. Starting this week Haifa Grow Clean is added as a helper, it contains Polyphosphates which are supposed to make nutrient that have fallen out of the solution available again and clean tubes/sprinklers. Haifa Grow Clean is NPK 5/31/40, I use it once a week. The ORP probe is not calibrated and values are to be taken with a grain of salt. Values are average of the day. All in all I am quite happy with how things turned out. I got to use the short days to grow a photoperiod. This was not planed though, since it was packaged as a Skunk Auto. I think its Lemon Orange. Saw it grow before and it really looks the same. Smell is also in the neighbourhood After drying I saw that almost everything was modly. Had to throw almost the whole plant away. Runtime: 141 days ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Set up cost (fixed costs) -Lamp: 40€ -Timer: 3,5€ -Pot: 4€ -Total fixed costs: 47,5€ Given 5 years (or 15 grows) usage time translates to around 3,17€ per grow in materials. Variable costs: -Seed: 5,54€ -Soil: 4,5€ -Fertilizer: 3,50€ -Power: 28,64€ -Total variable costs: 42,18€ -Total costs per grow: 45,35€

Last couple of days... No watering from today, (Day 129) and the light will be switched off as well from tomorrow (Day 130) so I will harvest them approx on Day 132 or 133 on the 18th week :)

Some light mania has me itching for projects. I have tiny pots, a bunch of free seeds and no space. Could I grow them by the window under a desk lamp? I might be able to tuck them into the tent if they actually grow for me. I want to try out some LST for cute bonsai-style trees. I’m not confident that I will have much success but this is purely a learning experiment. Let’s see how much I can abuse these autos 😅 - Sept 22 AM: Popped 3 Cookie Dog autoflower seeds into a glass of bottled spring water for a pre-soak of 14 hours. - Sept 22 PM: Put the seeds into folded paper towel, ceramic plate, more bottled spring water, uncovered in warm room. - Sept 23 AM: One seed has started to pop after only 10 hours! - Sept 23 PM: The seeds have all cracked but haven’t grown tap roots yet. I planted the 3 seeds into various small pots to finish germinating in seeding mix instead so I would stop checking on them in the paper 🙃 - Sept 24: nothing happening above ground. They are in the tent with lights 24/0 so I covered them with larger pots to give some darkness. Placed pots on a heating mat. - Sept 25 AM: the 2 seeds in the smallest pots have emerged! The were touching the plastic wrap when I checked on them so I hope they are ok. - Sept 27 PM: 1st seedling doing good, 2nd seedling still has her seed leaves closed so I’m misting her, and 3rd.. I accidentally flipped her pot over. She’s gone. First Impressions: Seeds germinated in soil after 36 hours, 72 hours from when I first left them to pre-soak and let the seeds crack in paper towel 24 hours.. that was 24-48 hours faster than the other test groups that used paper towel method until tap root formed and waiting for the germinated seed to emerge.. I might skip waiting for a tap root in paper towel going forward but I do like knowing the seed is viable before putting in soil so I know if it doesn’t grow it was something I did wrong. End of week thoughts.. Well.. I fucked around with these seeds too much, exposed the roots to light, let them almost dry out, dropped them, had the temps too low, the heating mat too hot, kicked out over.. 😅😅 I didn’t really give them a chance and yet still somehow I got 2 contenders in pint sized pots 🤷‍♀️the experiment continues..

Something was causing my predator mites to eat my leaves. I added lady bugs and nematodes which solved the issue.

Die PPOG entwickelt in der 4 Woche wirklich heftig Resin. Sie sieht wirklich frosty aus, gefällt mir !☺️ Mir ist nun aufgefallen, dass die unteren Blätter alle die Spitzen nach unten neigen. Man nennt das auch ‚Adlerkrallen‘ und ist auf einen Stickstoff Überschuss zurückzuführen. Habe durch die Verfärbung der Blätter auf einen Mangel geschlossen, war vielleicht nicht die beste Idee mehr Bio Grow zuzuführen😂 Werde im laufe der 5 Woche keinen Bio Grow mehr verwenden und beobachten wie sich das entwickelt.
