Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. It is this dedication to their customer base that made this company have a fanbase... Yes, a fanbase with a website and a wiki. Lineage: Chem Sis x Chocolate Diesel x Sour Dubb Popularity: Extremely Popular Flavor/Aroma Profile: Chocolate, Earthy, Fuel Yield: 400 g/m2 Stress Tolerance: High resistance to disease Potency: 24% THC Flowering time: 58 - 63 days The Soil: Those who saw my Monstercropped Gelato #33 grow (you should see it if you didn't, I'm so proud of that grow), know about my super soil and organic nutrients/ permaculture tea combo that starred in my previous diary. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! The addition of big bud from advanced nutrients has packed on some size. I had to add a third round of trellis netting for the blue berry. Almost half way through flower and things are going smooth. I have noticed a little potassium deficiency beginning will remedy this next reservoir change.

[Week 5 - Rapid Growth] In just one week, the Fat Banana plant experiences its biggest growth spurt so far within the minigrow box. The leaves become lusher, and the stems grow stronger as the plant reaches for the light.

Rückblick der letzten zwei Wochen – Cannabis-Tagebuch: Turbulenter Start und wichtige Lektionen Die letzten zwei Wochen waren alles andere als ein Spaziergang, aber meine Pflanzen haben sich tapfer geschlagen, und ich habe eine Menge dabei gelernt. Der Start war holprig, hauptsächlich wegen einer defekten Luftpumpe, meiner langen Arbeitszeiten und der notwendigen Grundreinigung der Anlage. Die erste Woche: Der Kampf ums Überleben und die große Reinigung Die erste Woche war echt kritisch. Ich war viel in der Arbeit, und genau da ist meine Luftpumpe ausgefallen. Diese Pumpe ist eigentlich dafür da, meine Nährlösung mit Sauerstoff zu versorgen – lebenswichtig für die Wurzeln! Ohne sie bestand die Gefahr von Wurzelfäule. Die Pflanzen sahen gestresst aus, ein paar Blätter waren welk oder leicht gelblich. Das war ein klarer Hinweis auf den Sauerstoffmangel. Aufgrund dieser Probleme und um sicherzustellen, dass keine weiteren Komplikationen auftreten, habe ich die gesamte Bewässerungsanlage grundgereinigt. Das war zwar zeitaufwendig, aber absolut notwendig, um alte Nährstoffreste oder Ablagerungen zu entfernen, die die Funktion beeinträchtigen könnten. Das hat mir gezeigt, wie wichtig es ist, die Technik immer im Blick zu haben und regelmäßig zu warten. Dazu kam, dass ich durch die Arbeit kaum Zeit hatte, die Beleuchtung optimal einzustellen. Das hat anfangs auch zu etwas ungleichmäßigem Wachstum geführt. Die zweite Woche: Erholung und Stabilisierung – mit Klimaanlage! In der zweiten Woche konnte ich endlich eingreifen. Nachdem die Luftpumpe repariert und die Lichtverhältnisse angepasst waren, haben sich die Pflanzen sichtbar erholt. Das Wachstum nahm wieder Fahrt auf, und die Blätter wurden wieder kräftig grün. Es war eine Erleichterung zu sehen, wie widerstandsfähig sie sind! Aufgrund der aktuellen Hitze verwende ich jetzt zusätzlich eine Klimaanlage. Damit halte ich die Raumtemperatur konstant bei etwa 27 Grad Celsius, was für die Pflanzen im Moment optimal ist. Das hilft enorm, ein stabiles Klima zu gewährleisten und Stress durch hohe Temperaturen zu vermeiden. Ich habe gelernt, dass man auch bei Zeitdruck die wichtigsten Kontrollen nicht vernachlässigen darf und schnell auf Probleme reagieren muss. Die gründliche Reinigung war hier ein entscheidender Schritt. Trotz des holprigen Starts bin ich optimistisch für die Zukunft. Die Pflanzen haben sich trotz der Widrigkeiten gut erholt und entwickeln sich jetzt stabil. Die anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten haben mich definitiv aufmerksamer und proaktiver gemacht.

Hello growmies! Welcome to week four of An Epsilon Adventure! The girls are already transitioning into flower, I will get some photos of that later in the week. Daily Updates: ### Week 4 Day 1 11:00 16/7 Removed some lower growth. ### Week 4 Day 2 23:00 17/7 Tallest plants were showing signs of heat stress so I have raised the light about 30cm more. Unfortunately this now means the lower plants aren't getting as much light as they could, so I have put the cycle back to 20h (I may even increase it). ### Week 4 Day 3 14:00 18/7 Photographed. ### Week 4 Day 3 19:00 18/7 Fertigated 2l. Okay these girls are now starting to concern me a little on the basis that they are supposed to grow to "50-70cm". At just over 3 weeks old the shortest of these girls is 53cm, the tallest (plant 3) is now 76cm tall. The worrying thing is they do not at all look like they are slowing down and as they are just pre-flowering now, the flowering stretch hasn't even started. So I need some genuine advice here now: Do I keep the faith and hope that they don't exceed the space I have? Do I top or super crop them now? These ladies are beastly, at the end of the week I am going to take some individual videos and more photos to really try and capture how magnificently well these girls are doing. I think I may be in the process of growing the biggest Epsilon F1's so far? Exciting to find out! ### Week 4 Day 4 21:00 19/7 James has assured me they wont go much more than 85 so I am not going to mess with them. They are due a defoliation at the end of this week though. Measured each plant as follows: Plant 1: 81cm Plant 2: 75cm Plant 3: 80cm Plant 4: 67cm Plant 5: 59cm Plant 6: 58cm Might photograph later or leave until tomorrow. ### Week 4 Day 5 10:00 20/7 Photographed and measured. Plant 1: 85cm Plant 2: 79cm Plant 3: 81cm Plant 4: 71cm Plant 5: 63cm Plant 6: 63cm So they've all grown about 4cm in about 13 hours, except plant 3 - which seems to have slowed down a lot. The top of plant 3 is also the most advanced looking in terms of pistils. I forgot to take close ups of the preflowers I will do that tomorrow. I have had to raise the light again today and it is now much further away than the younger plants than I would like. So I am thinking about adding a 300w LED into my 4x4. I have another 3 inches I can raise the light on the hangers, after that I can removed the adjustable handers and tie it to the top of the tent... that'll gain me another 4 or 5 inches. If I need to go higher my only option would be to set them up without the tent which is not an option right now. Hopefully they all just stop getting taller now and focus on flowering... but my gut tells me there's more growth to come. Watch this space! ### Week 4 Day 6 15:00 21/7 Measured. This strain averages 50-70cm in height. We have six plants here and every one of them is taller than the average... but would you just look at plant 1? She is a giant! 102cm!! Where will she stop? Next week will see the full transition to flower and we will start to see the bud sites developing. I have no idea at this point what the heights will look like at the end of next week. 30 September 2020 Sunset Sherbet Plant is growing very strong and the bottom 3 cola branches are being stress trained to all edges of the pot, this helps - with all the branches being exposed to the light and to grow the same height as the rest of the canopy. The stem is of this plant is growing really thick 🍑 about 1cm thick Leaves are big and strong reaching ( 15,5cm length ) My experience with growing Sunset Sherbet so far ( Week 6 Day 2 ) This strain from Cape Ape Seeds is actually so good, just the plant itself is a bright lime green and the nugs it will carry is going to be Frosty Purple❄️💜 nugs. By growing this beautiful strain so far it has grown very healthy and just in general very fast, this plant has no problems so far and all it wants to do is continue growing. Do-Si-Wine The Do-Si-Wine is growing very well, a very moderate growth as it says in it’s subscription, but none the less still a very grow so far. The bottom 4 colas are all stress trained to the edges of the pot to ensure each branch from each cola gets to grow outwards in its own space and to get more light. The stem is about 0.7cm thick which is not that thick compared to the SunSet Sherbet. While writing this I noticed my she has SNAPPED from her previous stress straining session, I was checking out the stem thickness and noticed the main stem had snapped. But luckily this is not the first this happened and I know how to fix this. To fix this all you need is some tape, now see if the plant didn’t completely break off you can still tape the plant back together and the plant should heal itself within a few days, although I need to wait a bit before I stress train this one again. She started making pistols🤗, but I’m not sure if this is because of the snap or if it’s getting ready to start blooming. All the side branches from the bottom 4 colas are all nice and long growing at a nice rate. The leaves are nice and strong reaching ( 11cm in length ) My experience from growing Do-Si-Wine 🎶🍷 from Cape Ape Seed seed bank is very good so far, on the site it says moderate growth difficulty and it is quite accurate compared to the Sunset Sherbet’s easy growth difficulty, it’s quite fun working with a moderate growth because the plant needs more tending to, for instance the side branches are thinnish and need to be stress trained often to reach the end of the pot, the plant is also very stiff because she snapped without me realising and had to tend to the break a day later. Also while growing this plant I noticed that the plant’s leaves are very dark green and the bud it’s going carry is going to be white so I can’t wait to see how she makes her buds.

Hello again, dear growers! 🌱👋 We’ve officially stepped into Week 10 of this wild and fragrant journey! Last week ended with a little makeover for the girls—I defoliated about 30-40% of the leaves again. ✂️ The Gorilla decided to keep me on my toes by showing some nutrient deficiencies on her leaves—guess she didn’t get enough food after the flush. 🍌🌿 (Lesson learned: don’t keep a Gorilla hungry!) Now, let’s talk about Runtz! 😍 She’s an absolute queen—so photogenic that even my struggling phone can’t capture her real beauty. 📸✨ She’s forming into one giant, luscious bud, and her fragrance is something else entirely! 🕵️‍♂️ The carbon filter is fighting the good fight, but if the room isn’t aired out every 8-9 hours, a little aroma starts sneaking through. But opening the tent… oh, my friends, that’s where the magic happens! 🌬️💫 The aroma is intoxicating—imagine diving headfirst into a field of flowers while bees whisper secrets in your ears. 🌺🐝 I just sit there, enchanted, savoring the smell, and staring at these beauties like a hypnotized gardener. I see some bugs

She put on the weight very fast once she started flowering, at the harvest there was many amber trichomes at day 84. If u love kush u really have to give her a go, very loud terpines

So I had a little less nutrient last week then i needed. Def a calcium deficiency. I think it's clearing up but this plant has spot all over it. I changed the water, gave it the right amount of nutrients and a little exra hydrated lime for calcium. Hydro is hard. I hoping It's not sick. I hope It doesn't get the other plants sick. Just a few weeks left.

This is my first ever experience with autoflowers, scrog, lst, led and such tiny grow space. Choice of strain - Big Bang Auto from Green House Seeds. I have run so many strains from this seed bank in the past and I was always happy with the final outcome. Was looking for indica dominant strain, fast flowering cycle and very important heavy yields on small spaces. Again thank you GHSC in very happy of choosing this strain. Little bit about my cabinet. All 3 ladies on the end developed perfectly. Nuna, left corner lady- tall and beautiful. She had some problems to switch to flowering and was even considering removing her but very happy that I was patient enough and turned great. Luna, right corner lady - have to say she is the queen. She has the most heavy buds from all, the most. colorful. Her wet weight was 420g, can't say how much of dry but guessing approx. 100g Sweet Mary Jane, front seat lady. I think she was the most pleasant to grow of her location but due to no other spare space for drying I belive that I have harvested her at least a week to early.
