End of the second week of the stretch and pretty much as expected. One male has gone off early spilling pollen everywhere. The females Id say are a little behind this one but no real worries - we got another 2 males in there ready and waiting to burst at the right time👍. We’ve now pared down the whole tent for pollination and taken cuttings of each fem. Plant for a separate run. Best part there is that we have 3 identified phenos of both indica and sativa dominant traits so we’re gonna get a really even look at what the genetic has to offer, while at the same time being able to isolate desirable traits in the resulting F2 seed. Pretty sick outcome to date 🔥. We moved over to GHE nutes this week to save the Druid nutes for the fem run in the recirc system. Stronger brand for sure, but similar in value and ease. All told, everything is proceeding far better than expected. The rest is just praying that we found a kickass combination in the polyhybrid mix🤞. Till next week yall👊. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. So this week I topped every branch on my gopher glue and in Les than 48 hours she looked like she was in overdrive with new growth everywhere defoliated a few spots and she showed no signs of slowing at all. Tied down my branches on my fog hound auto as she showed signs of hitting her stretch and she had responded well to anything I’ve done to her. Really really pleased with these genetics from atlas seeds so far. Got quite a few more from them to run but don’t have access to the space at the moment but definitely wanna play around with some of their stock. This gopher glue is massive considering her age and how cold it’s been here even before the topping her lateral branching was insane and her growth structure has been squat and dense a bushy. I’m almost tempted to keep her in veg until early march and put her in the ground to take advantage of the high intensity of full sunlight. Outdoors in my location during the late spring I’ve had plants grow 4 inches a day almost so maybe I do this but maybe I just glowed her and run another outdoor this coming season. I replaced my 2 hawthorne brurple led lights for a new spider farmer sf-1000 I purchased and my plants are loving it. Running 20 hours on 4 off an it's still hasn't gotten tent temp is so much more stable. Lst day 24 bounced back quick and healthy their really taking off did a lil defoliation to expose bud sites

Training has been continued. She is developing very nicely. As of today she has been switched to 12/12, as the net starts to get busy and anticipating another stretch I thought it would be time.

The gorilla glue auto is taking up most of the room in the tent if i didnt have the big purple lemonade auto in there the gorilla glue would take up most of the tent its flowering hard it has alot of tops and lots of bud sites and the purple lemonade auto is flowering nicely i believe it is coming into the fourth week of flower for the purple lemonade auto i had a small sample of the purple lemonade when i trimmed up the bottom half of the plant all the small buds that came off i dried out i smoked the buds and man O man it smashed me hard i had one joint and it made me pass out i cant wait for it to be ready for harvest

this girl is further ahead than the rest of the girls so I believe she will be finished a couple of weeks before the rest of them, looking stunning 😍

I pollinated a side bud of this girl and her seeds are developing quickly. Which is exciting for the sake of future grows. Other then that the buds are not super big at all but look super quality so I am happy with how things are progressing. As the week comes to an end the trichromes are really coming in and she is starting to smell very nice. I think one more week of flowering to fatten up a little more and then I will flush to finish. I learned that I started to feed flowering nutes to early and so my first two autos did not get super tall as a result. Learning a lot with my first indoor grow and first time with autos, I read a really solid breakdown of Autoflowers lifecycle that was super informative. I'll leave here, and post it with my final harvest post here. Knowledge is power 😎 LIFECYCLE OF AN AUTO A common question I see is when to switch autos from veg to bloom. Many people are under the impression that as soon as they see the first flowers it's time to switch. Perhaps a little explanation of the life cycle of autos will help to clarify this. Weeks 1 - 3. Once you've started your seeds and they break the surface of the soil, they are in their seedling stage. The first set of leaves to appear will usually single fingered, followed by a second set that may still be single fingered or perhaps 3 fingered. Once that second set appears growth will start to accelerate as the new leaves provide more photosynthesis. This process will continue, more new leaves, faster growth. Depending on the type of soil in use, mild vegetative nutes can be introduced at week 2. By week 3 most plants will start to show their sex. Males will start to produce pollen sacks and females will display pistils. Weeks 4 - 6. The plants are now entering a pre flowering stage. During this time the plants should exhibit explosive growth, often as much as a new set of nodes and 1" vertical growth a day. This is the time when they will gain most of their vertical height. Many people make the mistake of switching from vegetative to flowering nutrients at this point, assuming that since they see flowers it must be the proper time. This is incorrect. If the switch to flowering nutes is made at this time the vertical growth will stop and the plant will put it's energy into producing buds. If you need to keep your plants small, or want them to finish earlier, they by all means switch nutes at this point. But if you want to get the most out of your plants continue feeding vegetative nutes until you see the vertical growth slow and stop. Depending on the strain that will usually be sometime during week 5 or 6. Weeks 7 - 9. By now vertical growth has stopped and the switch to flowering nutrients has been made. The buds will start to fill out and put on weight, becoming hard and tight. Pistols will start to change from white to brown, orange, red, etc. By now the plants will also have developed a strong smell. Toward the end of this phase the large primary and smaller secondary fan leaves will begin to turn yellow. This is an indication that the plant is moving toward the end of it's life. Weeks 10 - 11. At this time flowering nutes should be discontinued and only plain pHed water fed to flush the remaining nutrients from the soil and improve the taste. Yellowing of the fan leaves will continue as the plant draws the stored energy from them. Eventually they will die and fall off. By the time that the smaller leaves that come from out of the buds will also start to turn yellow. Then it's time to harvest. I know that many of you are thinking that the seed bank said the plants will finish in 8-9 weeks, so why are you saying they take 10-11? The claims made by the seed banks are somewhat deceptive. If you switch to flowering nutes at week 3 or 4 the plants can finish in the times the seed banks say but they will remain small and not reach their full potential yield. Years of growing by myself and others has shown that autos do best if you follow this time line. Of course, there will always be variations depending on the strain, the environment, nutrients, etc. This information is meant to only serve as a general guideline.
