Bonjour à tous les padawans et maîtres jedis stretch 15 centimètres (Stretch explanations more) EXPOSURE TO LIGHT One of the main culprits in abnormal stretching of cannabis plants is the lack of light. Plants that are too far from an adequate light source will respond by accelerating stem growth in order to get closer to the lamp themselves. Especially when there are many other plants. A lack of lighting can easily cause overcrowding in a growing chamber, reducing the steady progression of your crop and the distance ratio between your bulbs and your plants. To address this problem, be sure to provide enough light to your plants to prevent stem growth. At the same time, you should not position your lights too close to your plants either since this would also result in an over-stretching of the stems and in some cases, the loss of your crop. In addition to the distance between the light source and the plant, the type of light you will use also affects the size of the stretching of your crop. The orange and red lights encourage stretching and result in thinner, larger stems. And conversely, blue light stimulates a growth of thicker stems and a smaller size. When a species is ready to enter the vegetative phase and undergo its most drastic stretching period, metal halide lamps can be used to deter far too long stems. THE HEAT Heat is another essential element that can determine the stretch size of your plants during vegetation. Temperatures above 27 degrees push the stems to lengthen more and more and will propel the potential of sativas to push as high as possible. Heat lamps that are positioned too close to plants create an intolerable environment that will grow large, soft plants that will potentially wobble until they fall and lose flowers in its fall. OTHER CAUSES OF STRETCHING There are multiple variables that can lead to the stretching of plants beyond what could normally be expected of the plant. Environmental stressors resulting from transplantation (when a plant passes from one pot to another) can cause the plant to return to shock. This will eventually trigger a reaction causing a stretch. Cannabis plants that are not grown in decent conditions or do not receive enough nutrients will respond in a variety of ways and this includes stretching. Crops that are not spaced far enough apart are likely to stretch to sting the light to other plants. Due to extreme proximity, the plants will fight among themselves to reach the light, forcing them to expand as much as possible throughout the crop. HOW TO CONTROL STRETCHING DURING FLOWERING Stretching during flowering, you guessed it, takes place when you move your plants from the vegetation stage to the flowering stage. This is a completely normal reaction, as your plants are preparing to bear the weight of their heads. Stretching of a plant at the beginning of flowering varies widely; some plants can double in height while others grow only a few centimetres. There are, however, two main variables that can give you at least an idea of how your plants are stretching during flowering, and how much. Here are these two variables: Variety: Genetics has the greatest impact on the size of your plant. In general, sativa varieties stretch more than indicas and tend to develop long, slender stems. Light: Some lights, such as HPS, are more likely to encourage stretching. In addition, great distances between your canopy and your lights will cause the plants to stretch as they try to get closer to the light source. Stretching during flowering usually lasts the first two weeks of the phase. To minimize stretching, keep your lights between 10 (for CFL) and 30 centimetres (for HID) of your canopy. Finally, choose indica varieties if you have a smaller growing space. HOW TO AVOID STRETCHING In many cases, you can expect your cannabis plants to stretch during the flowering phase. Keeping that in mind helps to make a plan in case your species ends up growing much more than you could have imagined. If the information is available, get information on the standard size of your species and compare it to the size of your growing space taking into account the necessary distances between the bulbs and the plants. TRAFFIC While outdoor crop operations benefit from natural air to naturally limit stretching, indoor crops must assume the maintenance of air circulation within a confined space. Basic ventilation is enough to help the cannabis stems strengthen and become thicker rather than too high. In this way, the plants continue to grow vigorously without reaching heights and at the same time, your tolerance ceiling. MANUAL INTERVENTION For growers who want to get their hands dirty, there are physical procedures that can be done to reduce stretching. Similar to the natural effect that the wind has on cannabis plants, manually bending the leaves and stems will cause tiny cracks in the plant's tissues that will cause the plant to focus on regenerating its wounds instead of its vertical growth. THE TOPPING Topping is a form of manual intervention on cannabis to influence its performance, shape or size. In essence, topping is a process in which a new node is cut, growing from the plant to reduce its size and create a "v"-shaped notch that will eventually form two heads. Topping may be an effective measure to combat stretching, but it is important not to do so when the flowering phase begins. In most cases, an abnormal stretch of cannabis plants will not completely destroy your crop. In fact, stretching can indeed help increase your performance. For growers with a growing operation large enough to contain tall plants, stretching can increase the total yield of a species with more vertical space for head formation. In both cases, stretching can easily be planned in advance and there are multiple solutions to help you with this problem which is all too common. From delicate sprouts to fast-branching vegetative bushes, they’ve thrived under a mix of Aptus nutrition and precisely managed environments. By Week 4 of veg, their symmetry and vigor showed just how stable and legendary these genetics really are true to the BlueBerry heritage: Afghan strength, Thai influence, and purple notes hidden in their DNA. Now, here in flower, they’re 57 cm tall, nearly twins in their morphology, and fully embracing their transition into bloom. ⸻ 🌸 Week 2 in Bloom – Shifting Morphology This week the girls are changing shape, stacking nodes tighter, pushing pistils, and clearly leaving veg behind. Their body language is all flower now: • Branches are stretching with intention. • Nodes are clustering toward bud formation. • Pistils are reaching, glowing under the LEDs. Despite fewer photos this week (a busy one outside the garden), a room tour video captures it all the environment, the gear, the girls in context. Alle drei Future #1 wurden gestern getoppt und mit Bud Candy von Advanced Nutrients und Bio Bloom von Bio Bizz auf die Blüte vorbereitet. All three Future #1 were topped yesterday and prepared for flowering with Bud Candy from Advanced Nutrients and Bio Bloom from Bio Bizz.

I made these seeds myself, letting the Male pollinating the Female in the same tent. I dropped pollen with a paintbrush on 2 different occasions, then shook the male over the female a couple times as well. Harvested most the seeds after the female plant died of thirst, around Bloom Day 65-67, but some earlier around Bloom day 53-55. These seeds were soaked then direct sowed. Originally using 6 seeds but settled on 10. Success germination rate of 100%. Bred by Dark Horse Genetics, purchased Chem Berry D from Parkland Flowers then reproduction by moi. Who knows where this project will go. I collected a whole bunch of seeds, they seem to be very healthy.

:( she is still growing pretty slow but i am hoping she catches her self, I've fix all the issues, I brought the humidity up as it was like 40rh lol and dim my light a bit down to 260par waiting for her to catch her self the soil is a bit hot as well as wet as she haven't been drinking much there is guano ect in the soil..

I like how the buds get bigger and bigger. Its a very special strain, need to grow the banana purple punch more.

Die ersten gelben blätter unterhalb kommen und man merkt, dass die energie in die blüte geht, die buds werden immer dicker und harziger. ich schätze noch knapp 1 1/2 Wochen bis zur Ernte. Leider ist das Wetter katastrophal, ich hoffe auf eine besserung.

Week 3 – Day 22 🔄 Looking back: This week was full of activity! Both Mimosa Evo plants were topped and light LST was started 🌿 They also moved into their final 15L fabric pots, watered in with 2.5L each 💧 💪 Mimosa Evo #3 is doing great – no issues at all. She's strong, healthy, and responding well to training! 🔧 To reduce overall stress (some strains reacted to EC 0.8–0.9), I lowered the DLI to 27. Mimosa Evo handled everything just fine, but I wanted to play it safe. 📅 Looking ahead to Week 4: 🔹 Increase watering to 4–5L, depending on how thirsty they get 🔹 I checked the root zone through the fabric pot – things look very promising 👀 🔹 LST will continue, and I might remove a few big fan leaves if needed ✂️🌿

Start of day 14 ... Oct 23 Check out the full grow video on latest weekly update Exceptional Growth thus far and each day ..... Decided to ponytail them today DAY 14 and 15 for 18hrs and will remove just before lights out.... Day 16 - 18 Leaf Tucking Day 19 begun LST , hopfully they don't run away on me.... Watering only when needed and adjusting lights when needed .... Rain Water Only !!!!! Can see the differences in Pheno types .... Loving it .....

Another good week for the ladies..slowly but surely starting to get my PH down to the ideal range i want it to be in..all I did was add an extra day between feedings which is working for me so far. Also I decided to do some supper cropping on purple haze this week to get her height more leveled with the rest of the canopy. She has responded well, and I'm happy with the results of a more even canopy. Female preflowers is all over the plants..no signs of hermies on any, which is definitely a good sign. Especially with all the training and early mishaps. Other than that, I'll keep yall updated in my next video..I intend to send the ladies into flowering within the next 2- 3 weeks..Happy growing😎

So...eine von den 2 Pflanzen ist ins große Zelt (150×150cm) gewandert. Da wird sie von 7 l Topf in 10 Gallonen Stofftopf mit living soil (dieses mal Rezept #1 "coots mix" von Jeremy) umgetopft. Living soil "kocht" gerade. Nicht dass ich living soil Fan wäre (geringerer Ertrag) aber wenn ich wieder zwei Wochen weg bin, kann ich einfach nur Wasser tropfen lassen und die Pflanze bleibt gesund. Ah ja...Terpene sind evtl. auch besser...das konntd ich bisher aber nicht unter Beweis stellen. Die zweite Pflanze die anfangs auch auf dem Balkon war, ist immer noch im Freien unbemerkt...mache da demnächst Bilder P.S. hab jetzt Video und Bilder gemacht. Wächst nicht so schnell...aber die Farbe und der Glanz sind phenomenal

Final week before harvest: after the flush, the plant showed a very nice fade and reached a good level of maturity. Once the pot dried out completely, the plant was harvested and hung whole to achieve a slower and more controlled dry. Despite the relatively slim bud structure, the final yield turned out far higher than expected thanks to the massive amount of dense, resinous bud sites across the entire plant.

Great week

Week 3 tested us with some brutal heat—the garage hit 98°F and stayed in the 90s most of the week. I held off on training to avoid stressing her further, but despite the conditions, she pushed through like a champ. On Day 20, she officially hit pre-flower, with pistils showing at the nodes. And today, Day 21, I started gentle LST, giving her a soft first bend to open up the canopy. I’ll continue shaping her slowly over the next few days to avoid over-bending like last time. Watering was based on feel and pot weight. I gave her RO water three times this week—once with Cal-Mag—and she absorbed it slower than usual after I topped the pot with fresh soil. No signs of overwatering. To finish the week strong, I brewed and applied my first batch of compost tea (“Tea Party #1”) using worm castings, molasses, and fish emulsion. It steeped for ~18 hours with strong bubbling, then I diluted it 50/50 with RO and gave her a healthy feed to kick off flower. Despite the heat, she’s right on track. Week 4 starts tomorrow, and I’m hyped to watch her stretch and stack.

She is starting to produce some terps now to me she just smells like Shiva just now which smells like grapefruit. The buds are dense and frosting up nicely, nothing crazy but as expected with the parents being Shiva and Blueberry
