Day 80 This morning I started defoliating Tropicana. She will be in the darkness for the next days. I already harvested a part of the head flower and let it dry trimmed. Because of extreme weather conditions and very high humidity I got a little bud rott. I found it out quit early I think. So I hope nothing will not happen any more. Just harvesting relaxed and drink a Tropicana tee. Day 81 I decided to cut her down in the evening. The humidity in the basement room is high and I don‘t want to risk here anything anymore. Waiting for my first homegrown weed to be vaped. Day 82 Tropicanas flowers hanging to dry in my basement. I check them once per day with a strong light. Day 83 Same same. The smell is wonderful like a bit of gas combined with a fruity flower bouquet. Our neighbors in the house like the smell, too. 🙏 Day 84 I could try my first homegrown weed. It‘s absolutely tasty and have a very smooth vape. I was very surprised cause it‘s not cured yet. A longer vape report will follow when it‘s dried and cured. Day 88 All flowers, sugar- and tee leafs are trimmed and filled in glasses for curing. I open twice per day for 20 minutes. Boveda packs 58% inside. I will fill out the rest of the diarie when my buds are dried, cured and vaped. So far this was a very exciting journey for me. Growing cannabis and even legal on our balcony. Back on track! Giving them some nitrogen has them drinking water at a much quicker rate and the flowers are adding some new growth in all direction. I think they’ll be a week or two behind the original forecasted finish date and while the leaves may not be the prettiest these little northern lights autos are going to have that great smell and taste we’ve all come to love.

After three weeks in the solo cups I transplanted to 1 gallon pots and three days later I noticed yellowing on one of the plants so in 16oz of water I mixed in 1/4 tsp of Epsom salt and gave it to both plants in fear of magnesium deficiency but the other plant is thriving and growing strong. Sproud/ Keimung The Seeds Are Made by myself I Mixed up Paradise Seeds Tangerine Sorbet with Banana OG 2 years ago. Last Year I breeded a male and some females of the New Lady Spider Strain. The Name of this cross. Then i Mixed Cali Genetics Purple Milkshake female with with a Lady Spider Male. The New Strain is called Black Venom. I believe it wil be Blackish/Purple Like The parents. About the Taste, we will know it maybe in a few weeks :) I Hope this 4 Babys Are females.

This week the girls look very thirsty. They clearly increased their consumption of water, maybe because of the temperature witch is quiet high for a end of october.... Anyway, I have to water the plants every 2 days maximum otherwise the leaves are going down... Beside this, they look great :)

Last final defoliation done, now buds are fully exposed to the lights and the best part, harvest trim will be easier. Still it took me around 8 h altogether to defoliate all of them. Tones of buds and frost , amazing smells. Won't rush will give it a bit more to swell.

I'm gonna jump right in..👨‍🌾 The high stress technique I have used a couple days ago called super cropping, I (tried more or less) to keep the canopy under control and more even. This also allow lower bud sites to rise to the top and slow down the 'stretching'. 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌞🌞🌞🌞 The trade in doing it at this stage, is that the plant is also focusing more on healing the stems instead of total focus on the buds. But I'm probably early enough in the flower stage they will make it up by having more strong stems in the end. That's because the points they are broken now are gonna heal back more strong.💪💪💪 I've added some nutrients to help them heal. Aptus is working great with my organic soil👍😎💚 🌊💦 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 As you maybe have seen I've added some extra lights. This are Mars Hydro's new Adlite's. Here is some info about them in my own words.👨‍🌾 -IR 15, is a infrared light that is promoting extra photosynthesis. Basically long wave length of lights that will penetrate leaves and hit the stems, so the idea is stems will be more strong and be able to carry bigger buds. -UV 30, is a ultraviolet light that will try to mimic the radiation that comes of the sun. A little explanation about what this does to the plant in nature is that the plant will make it's own sunblock oil in the form of trichomes. So by adding this light the idea is that the plant is gonna work more to block this 'radiation'. -Deep Red 30, is like the title maybe already explained a red light booster. In nature the spectrum of the sun changes with the season, so it's easy to explain the sun will get more intense and contains more red in the summer. The wavelength of red is also pretty long like the 'infrared' these will sometimes penetrate leaves and hit stems and lower buds. The idea is more photosynthesis.

So here it is, the final week before harvest. I've been tested by my equipment but managed to handle everything thrown at me. The dehumidifier breaking 2 weeks ago was definitely the scariest moment! The size and smell of these is ludicrous, I reckon it'll be a bumper harvest!

Alright, bad news ladies and gents, I got the bud rot. It’s been humid as hell here and I think the buds were way to dense and not drying. I noticed it by inspecting the buds. As bud rot rots from the inside out, I noticed a few “out of place” leaves on the buds that were brown. From my experience with late season bud rot last year I knew right away. I peeled open the bud and sure enough rot. I looked around a bit more and found it in a few more places, I decided right away to take the large buds, and leave some on the plant to mature. The big green behind the garage, I also found some on one bud, I cut and tossed it. The purple one has no rot yet, I think because of the spacing between the bud sites, it’s not dense. Anyway here is a partial harvest, and some bud rot pics. I’m letting them finish, I’ll just keep an eye on them. Pray for dry weather for me. Cheers.
