Woche 17

Hi Guys Let's continue now with the vegetation week three and one thing is for sure there are still some... 👉 Lighting The Lumatek was increased from 80 watts to 120 watts on vegitation day 20. This corresponds to dimming from 40% to 60%. This corresponds approximately to a PPFD of 400. 👉 Pot size On day 19 of the vegetation phase, the size was changed from a 1.5 liter to a 3.5 liter pot. This was done due to slight deficiency symptoms in the lower part of the plants and due to their size. 👉 Climate Has remained the same. Grow Report: -------------- The plants also grew well during the week and still look healthy and happy. Once again, the genetics coped well with the stress of transplanting and got used to the new pot very quickly. Unfortunately, the plants were a little too dry before transplanting, but they also coped well with this. This week they were also watered with fertilizer for the first time, 2ml BioBizz Fishmix per liter of water. The plants are watered as soon as they are close to being dry. The plants are watered with a total of approx. 400 ml in two stages of 200 ml each. I wait approximately 5-10 minutes between watering. Have fun growing, HiSpycy 💜

it grows so fast. The lower leaves are shaded and away from the light. So I cut them as the plant gets taller I really don't have a good setup to be able to clean my roots. I tried this week anyway. I watered each pot with 2L (not enough I think :/) of water at 450PPM PH: 7 then after I gave 1L of water at 900PM PH: 5.5. There was a big puddle in the room afterwards. But it wasn't that hard to clean up after all. Well it turns out those little white spots were a leading sign of spider mites. I loaned my loupe to my buddy and don't like trying to use my hand microscope directly on a plant so I did some minor surgery for inspection... and there's Nothing creepier than seeing little mites scurrying around on your babies. Pisses you off too. 😡 So we made a trip to the local hydro store and my friends there recommended Plant Therapy. https://www.lostcoastplanttherapy.com/ This stuff looks Way safer than some of the alternative products. In fact, it turns out Azamax from General Hydroponics (which this same local hydro store had sold me a year or so back) can no longer legally be sold so they removed the product. Exactly why Azamax is a problem he didn't say... but it is referenced heavily in a positive way in what is now my growers reference Bible which I've provided a picture of here somewhere. "Marijuana Horticulture Fundamentals" is so far beyond anything I had before it's humorous. I grew a couple 4 plant crops in my backyard about a decade ago and all I had was stuff written in the 1960s and 70s. I look back on those now and laugh - hippy sh*t. Now the serious children have taken over, and around here it's legal now. So screw you Mr. Sessions.

Well, it's finally time for an update, right? And for a newbie like me this week has been quite eventful! 😲 After last week's "Helmet Head" (which I suppose was my fault for not burying the seed deep enough 😱) her leaves started to look twisty, Honestly don't know why that happened but my three hypothesis are: because that's just the way she is, because I didn't properly bury the seed or I made a mistake somewhere else. However I also think she looks pretty and this makes her look quite "special" 👍. In her 6-7th day after sprouting I noticed her leaves started to look even more twisty and she was about to outgrow her cup. I worried and decided that it was the right moment to transplant her. At first I didn't know "how" to do it and all I knew is that I could shock her if I did it wrong (which worried me haha 😨). None of the sites I checked really specified any kind of information regarding how I should prepare the medium for the new plant (just some vague information here and there) so I came with the idea to just water it bit and then "massage" the soil to avoid making it "lumpy" and I feel it did work out well in the end! I feel I didn't shock her much and in her second day she was growing even more as well! Nice! 😍 Next week I'll start feeding Puff with some nutrients but the PPM of the tap water where I live is somewhat high (around 600) and it's electroconductivity is around 1200 us/cm but a lot of growers in here still use it (they just wait for chlorine to evaporate) so I'll try doing the same. I'll use half dose of Biobizz Bio Grow and half dose of another product called Gold Sunshine from Quemanta (which is Cal-Mag with some amino acids) and see how things develop! 😃 I'll try to see if I can make my DSLR take the photos for future timelapses, because my webcam sucks for that job! Switched spots in tent to see if Purple Kush darkens up a bit. pH at 7 again over night, so I dropped it back down to pH 5.5 Next day Purple and Pink Kush had pH around 6, so I dropped it a little again. Is it normal for pH to change over time? Purple Kush still shows signs of getting darker leaves starting at the tips. I will give another 2 days to see if the lower pH helps. Purple Kush seems to be getting color back through out it's leaves. Not a gradual change, but blotchy dark green moving back in I hope. Pink Kush and Purple Maroc seem to enjoy the addition of a CO2 generator. I expect this time next week to have flowers on the Pink and Purple Kush. See you next week....

Maturing fast. Some botrytis unfortunately . Have to dig in to incoming air filtration to limit spores. Ac infinity terraform just been released maybe it could help with more sterile air.

22 Enero(F55): Solo queda una semana para terminar el cultivo, en estos últimos días se está usando Fade de Athena Nutrients, para ayudar con la maduración y mejorar sabores y olores. La luz de los LED se bajó a un 50% y la temperatura del agua de riego también se disminuyó. Los olores están demasiado potentes, tuve que poner filtro de carbono. Los últimos 4 días se regará solo con agua de osmosis + Cleanse.

Week 3 is done and this girl had an interesting week. I noticed her yellowing tips on day 17 but only on the older growth? I'm stumped, surely it isn't the light intensity, still only at 450ish umols. The pot is always weighty, could it be an over water? Her sisters don't seem phased at all. As for environment, today I've turned the ventilation fan on 24hrs with no breaks. I started getting paranoid that hour on hour off is not doing them any favors and I'm just gonna have to suck it up and bare the brunt of the power bill. This will also drastically reduce the RH, which I'm not totally sure of the effects it will have on the girls. Low RH has got to be better than RH too high, right? 🤷‍♂️
