Average stem height of the big ones are 36 inches, but the mishap past week with the lights might have stressed em a bit and caused some stretching. There was also a humidity issue for a few hours, which could be the culprit for the stretching. Two stems are pushing 40 inches. However, there are no signs of light or heat stress, despite the stems getting within inches of the leds. We shall see... I’m also battling a cold Canadian winter where it hit -42 Celsius today. Plants are in a cold basement in an old house. Had to bring out an extra space heater. Can’t get the temp in my tent above 20. Tent is too packed to introduce a stand up heater. Maybe I’ll convince the plants that fall is coming and they need to bud like crazy.

Broke one of the original 8 growth tips early on, but she's grown nicely into her heptagon shape. Living soil still seems to have too much nitrogen for her, hopefully vegging her a few more weeks before flipping will burn through some of it. I've had to "mow the lawn" of clover a couple times now just to keep good airflow, and that fallen cover crop is starting to make a nice mulch...which in turn makes watering in coco a little less stressful. We're in late veg now, so tent is holding steady at: - PPFD = 600 - VPD = 1.0 - Temp = 82 F (28 C)

Welcome back all, following a week that has been a fairly straight forward seven days or so in Fat Yappa's Garden, as the older Bruce Banners reach day 51, day 44 for the runt of the sisters, planted on the same day but that took a week longer to germinate, and day 42 for the two Wedding Cheesecake's, one growing in Coco Coir, the other in the same living soil as her Bruce Banner Fastbuds cousins. The week began with last weeks humidity issues brought well and truly into hand with the addition of the new 20L dehumidifier from Meaco, specifically designed for the UK weather. However a shift in the aforementioned from the falls dawn of an early spring, to a return to more usual climate conditions for this time of year through things off kilter once again. Despite pulling around 6L of water out the air a day, she was struggling to keep the RH down to around 50% with my central heating returned to its usual position of 18c, but an increase to 20c has taken things back in line, and the humidity has returned to the mid 40's I was aiming for. Humidity concerns during this off period however, and a subsequent inspection below the top layer of the canopy, which resulted in the discovery of quite a lot of whitish, moist growth, prompted a mass defoliation, mostly of the Bruce Banners. I had been performing very light defoliation up until this point, only removing dead/almost dead leaves, and very select leaves from the top of the canopy that were blocking what looked like bud sites, but the lack of light and air getting through past the top layer, together with the fact that now bud sites are far clearer to a novice such as I, lead me to the conclusion that the time was right. Besides the runt, all these plants have not even skipped a beat. The runt has been a bit droopier in her leaves than the others all in all, but I have looked in on them and seen her with leaves pointing up and praying a few times since so I trust all is well. Following the defoliaton on day 47, the plants stuck to their two day watering schedule, but di threatened to need an increase to daily, as day 50 saw waterings a mere 24hrs after the previous day, but feeling the weight of the pots yesterday I elected to wait til 48 hours to water again. The water amounts per plant has also become more erratic than previously, so I have been watering more carefully. Other than that the week has been pretty much plain sailing, and what look like to be some big looking flowers coming up all over the canopy, as all bar the Wedding Cheesecake in living soil are now fully in flower, but she will be there by next week. The Bruce banner I accidentally snapped the top off from the second node down doing LST a few weeks ago seems to be about half a week ahead of the other two of the same age, and trichomes have began to appear on the leaves around the buds. The biggest plant in the tent is still the wedding Cheesecake in Coco coir, as she now stand a metre tall and her top is the same level as the light now. Her size is a concern because it has caused me to neglect her in favour of the other plants, certainly in terms of light, but she doesn't seem to have any more bud sites than the other plants, and for the time being at least, her older cousins are leaving her to shame in this department, but she still has a week to catch up. Lastly, day 39 saw another compost tea feeding, the same recipe as last time. Happy growing everyone, and I will catch you all again next week.

I don't want to jinx myself, but man this grow is starting great. I haven't been growing long but this has been the best start I have had. This new system is working perfect. I am using 75% RO water & 25% tap. A total of 16 gallons to run this. The tap here is pretty good. It took about a day to stabilize the ph. I am handling the weekly maintenance on this system kind of like my 125g aquarium. Doing this I am able to keep the ph at the optimum level with no worries of any drifting. I was in such a hurry to put in my ac for the tent I didn't think about how dry it's been here. So for now I'm using some wet towels to get the humidity up to an acceptable level for these little plants. The new led lights have been amazing. Maybe another couple weeks and I can put the CMH light in. Please excuse the untidiness. Eventually I will get that all cleaned up. Been so busy with moving into the new house and getting this built and running right. Well let me know how you think everything is coming along. I have been looking into getting a light controller to use with the CMH. Just haven't found one that looks worthy of the price. Update: Well it's been 14 days from seed and 7 days since I put them in the hydroponic system. I'm not sure how well this stuff works for other people, but damn these are looking amazing. I think this weekend I will change out the res and up the nutrients, maybe 500 ppm. I am also going to put my CMH light in. I have been itching to use it since I bought it. I have the 4100k phillips for veg and 3100kr for flowering. Next week I will probably start LST. I don't think I am going to top these, just too worried about stressing them and hermies all over again. I posted some new pictures. Be sure to check them out and give me some thoughts and feedback. Hello:) The wasabi is ready now, trichomes are about 10%amber, the front right sangria is surprisingly also at about that ripeness. The two sangrias in the back look very cloudy, but almost no amber, so i think one more week is the right call. I‘m also having some humidity problems… lets hope there won‘t be mold in the big buds afterwards… there is one bud on the wasabi that already doesn't look super good… that‘s the only thing that could still mess up my grow… Also here is also the video so far:) lets hope the next update is the harvest:)

Everything has gone well. Have been flushing with just pH'd water for about a week. Starting the girls dark period today. The smell is unbelievable. Bueno familia ya finalizamos, estas red hot cookies son una cepa bestial. La verdad que el secado muy bien 7 días en Malla y a los botes, 45% humedad y 23 grados es la temperatura ambiental que han tenido en el secado. 4 plantas que se cultivaron en un armario de 1.20 pero estos ejemplares solo ocuparon 80x80. Así que ya está cultivada esta gran variedad que es novedad este 2020, americana de la familia Cookies, la Tropicanna Cookies (Girl Scout Cookies x Tangie) con un porcentaje de thc entre los 17/25%, una bomba. Que decir de Agrobeta, lo peta 💪 en cuanto a nutrientes. Un saludo y buenos humos.

So the older plant finally started flowering after 6 weeks and a couple days of veg. AH#2 looking very healthy, seems to be taking to the nutrients well :)

Hi all.. Lady's are very happy..still stretching a bit..looks like the push is almost over. Very faint sweet smell starting to come form them. Im going to do another light defoliation soon. Humidity is a bit high and i want to avoid WPM. Sorry for all the wierd couler photos , i try take picks as the lights come on.. I will upload some more picks on friday. dear grow community, I report back with the fifth week of my Northern light auto grow. This week my plants have started to flower. They have grown extremely well and I have a lot of fun taking care of them. I have now stopped using LST as I want the plants to grow upwards. I have also changed my fertilizer. I also changed my sodium vapor lamp from veg to flower. I'm looking forward to see my babies flower and hopefully produce big buds. 2/4/19 - I'm really pleasantly surprised by Tangie'matic. I expected stress and stunting after topping, but she's pushing back with vigor and growth! I'm relieved, as this is my first topping experiment, and I'm doing it with an autoflower. Naturally, learning something new comes with a certain degree of uncertainty, but I feel like Tangie has been more of a partner in this learning process. Trasplant day! Nothing special going on. Im excited to see how these turn out. Not to much visul difference between the LCR and the Papa at this point.

Was a good second week, had some heat issues in the beginning, but once I rerouted my flowering tents air conditioner exhaust outside instead of the room this tent was in she cooled down. I was heating my basement with the exhaust from one of my air conditioners and my light exhaust as well. Snows coming soon so I’m trying to recycle some heat instead of dumping it outside, I will move them back in probably when we hit the -20c to -40c weather in a month or so....Lol Topped her yesterday at day 15 at the 4th node. She didn’t even flinch! Roots are well established now and growing daily. Still got 2-3 weeks or so till they can hit the flowering tent so I will be making some more insulated top covers with anchor wires attached to begin LST once these new tops come up in a week or so. Loving this UC Roots stuff, keeping my shit pristine in all the buckets across all my tents. Even my RDWC systems are sparking clean still well into flowering, can’t really see my roots to much anymore to check them though because they are screened and Scrog’d out. But if the res and water is sparkling I’m hoping the rest is...lol well that’s it for this week! Cheers! 💨
