My good friend convinced me that trimming and training are paramount, so I've started with slowly defoliating the Creme de la Chems to try and get to lollipop status. They're just starting to flower, so I figured I could get away with a more aggressive approach. Because I failed to train these girls early, I'm stuck dealing with a little rain forest. What I've tried to do is trace each flower topped stalk up from the base, and trim away from the bottom up. 1/3 of the way up per day. I've now got a thick canopy, and I've been trying to just use leaf tucking and manual manipulation every few hours in order to keep the different height flowering sites in direct light. These ladies have really been thriving, and it's been such a joy to watch them grow! I like having two plants in one net pot letting them grow wild, but I think in my next grow I'll keep it to one per pot and train better from the start. As for the Super Orange Haze ... not as good. I attempted to pull the main branch over to train her to some empty space, but I was too aggressive and ended up popping her head off :(. First grow, first disaster. I took the head and stripped her/coated in clonex and pushed her into some potting soil just to see what would happen. There hasn't been enough foliage to really make me want to do any trimming, I've just tried to tie the stalks off to train them apart. I'm really sad about my mistake decapitation, but she seems to be doing well still. She's probably week 2 of flower based on others' journals. I changed the water midway through the week (which is when the videos were taken). I drained most of the water out, but roots prevented me from getting the last few gallons. When I refilled the res with RO, I measured the PPM at around 200. I have to assume that remaining nutrient was completely unbalanced leftovers, so feeding will have to just have to be experimental. My approach has been to give around 1:1 Gro vs Bloom and Micro every 2-3 days when I refill with RO. I want to build my PPM up to 1000, but slowly so that I can detect if I hit a ceiling first. It's hard to measure how much food is in the water based on PPM. CalMag is what drives it mostly, so I've been using CalMag as a sort of measuring stick. I keep the CalMag pegged to the Bloom food, but I know it's only good for initial dosing. I can't assume the plants are eating CalMag in the same proportion as anything else :(. If anyone has a line on cheap lab testing ... hit me up. I'd love to be able to test a few hundred samples at a time for NPK and trace so that I can tell (even if post facto) what was going on.

The veg cycle was shorter than i usually like to have a plant go through, due to time restrictions for the Bubba Cheesecake Diary grow-off, but it still did fantastic in my mind! Three months in veg under high-octane light and 11 1/2 weeks in flower have let this plant turn into a dreadlocked group of nugs. Three main colas, but lots of burnable flower to enjoy once the dry is finished. I did a light LST with a decent amount of defoliation throughout the plant's life. I like to open up the middle area of the plant and let as much light as possible hit as many branch and potential flower nodes as possible. This way, i don't need to lollipop as many branches and as much foliage as i would if i didn't do this. Plus, the candelabra look is b-e-a-Utiful, in my opinion. Light intensity through veg ranged from 40% as a fresh seedling to around 55% the week before i put it into the bloom room. Once it was in the bloom room, the intensity was set at 50% for the first couple weeks to allow for a decent stretch. After that, i think i recorded the light intensity in my diary notes for each week. But, just in case i didn't, I bumped up the intensity by a few percent every 3 days until i hit 100%. Once i got to MAXIMUM POWER, i left it there until harvest. Water was natural well water that tests out at 7 pH. I always added BuildABloom to the water, never the soil, when i used it. Same with Dr. Earth's 1-2-1 tea concentrate. Other than those instances, it was just straight water that i was giving to the plant. Grow rooms are both about 4'x8'. This is exactly the 🇲🇦 morroccan 🇲🇦 way of sifting resin from kief. Traditionally, apart the hand rubbing method, dry sifting through a mesh is the most used way to obtain resin, from 🇦🇫 Afghanistan 🇦🇫 or 🇳🇵Nepalese 🇳🇵 Mountains to 🇲🇦 Morocc 🇲🇦 Rif passing through Bekaa valley in 🇱🇧Lebanon 🇱🇧. The average size of meshes used vary from 90 to 180 microns and are mostly made by silk and for this reason uneven. I think the most productive ways to sift are Dry Ice and  rotating pollinator + CO2, I've tried a DIY pollinator built by a friend and it can reach up to 20/25% of resin extracted at 120 microns and 15% at 90 microns. But smell and taste don't reach that traditionally extracted but this is another story. Morroccan way is good compromise between a stashbox or more evolute methods. It requires less than 10 dollar of expenses. You need: a basin or pot  without handles a heavy-duty plastic bag that contains the basin a pair of chopsticks a good 120 microns net an elastic band tape Kif or trim q.s. My Soaptini plant is finally starting to take off! It's been one of the smaller plants in the tent, but it's definitely showing signs of vigorous growth. The leaves are a deep, rich green, the most vibrant of all my plants. I'm excited to see how it develops! Okay, This past week has been absolutely fantastic! The weather has been incredible, and I've been able to keep the windows open almost the entire time. My plants are thriving in the humidity, and the VPD has been perfect. Everything just feels so balanced and in check.

Plant was chugging in the last couple days as seen in raising EC and lowering PH but I found a single bud with mold in it so I removed it and and harvested on day 76 from sprout. One of the reasons I prefer longer stretched plants compared to small stubby ones is the bud size, they were grown so much in to one another that air flow was very restricted. Germination went well. Exited for this gorilla cookies even if it's under the less powerful ts1000. I think I can manage the light well enough for great results.

Gave them their monthly feeding a few days into first week of flower with Gaia Green organic dry amendment slow release fertilizer. It really has allowed me to focus solely on watering technique and grow environment without worrying about over/ under fertilization. Plants and I love the product! Posting an update tomorrow of end of week 1 flower pre-flower. Cheers 🍻

Buenas noticias para esta semana. 1. La semana pasada comenté que tenía una planta desordenada, pues no me había percatado que la karpa tenía un orificio abierto en el techo y estaba entrando contaminación lumínica cuando dormía y por eso estaba débil. 2. Un loco que sabe más que yo, me dijo que las puntas amarillas es algo bueno en mis plantas y no algo malo, por lo que están saludables. 3. Las flores tuvieron un gran avance y ya se notan de mejor tamaño y un excelente aroma. 4. El calor y la humedad hacen que cada planta consuma 2 lts de líquido al día. 5. Voy a iniciar Pk1314 esta semana que sigue. Malas noticias 1. Ya no tengo mota seca jajaj Buenos humos
