Started giving full strength nutrients and added big bud and bud candy at this point. Dropped my room temperature slightly. Been having a bit of an issue with room humidity and I’m too cheap to buy another dehumidifier so I added a second fan to keep everything dry. Starting to get a nice purple on one of the plants too :) Also have some orange sherbet autos going in the back of check my other diaries :)

This week I started with some nutrients. Only 1/4 of the recommended dose. Tried some LST for the first time and she seems to be handling it well.

1/12: impatiently waiting for lemon auto to finish up. Still not sure what the northern lights is trying to do, but..the little buds are slowly growing. S l o w l y... 1/14: things are getting out of hand in here. Northern lights is bushy AF again but the budlets appear to be increasing in size. Lemon is getting closer every day. Looks like I've got milky trichomes and the pistils are darkening. Still a bit early, but I'd be lying if I wasn't anxious for the space.. 1/15: I've accepted that I have at least a week ish left on Lemon auto,but she's getting there! I did some rather risky defoliation on northern lights and holy shit, she's got potential. I'm hoping she's just a slow grower and those buds will really fatten up! Perhaps lemon is just a really fast growing plant? I've also decided that since space is limited, my best bet is to probably rotate the plants every other day to allow all bid sites an opportunity for direct light. I'm reigning myself in. Once lemon auto is harvested I need to NOT immediately plant another. I've got some mephosito seeds I want to get going, but I've learned my lesson. This tent fits two 5 gallon mature plants... Uncomfortably. Three is too many 😂 1/17: wondering if northern lights has is it her to fatten up. Gave her a good flush &feed. Popcorn buds or not, I'm invested (#forscience). Lemon auto is still finishing up. Can't get good enough pics with phone to see trichomes. Clearly, I have a minimum of a week left, but I got a digital microscope so I can keep track! But is actually week4 flowering, also brewing tea give my plants a little love. 05/09/2018 The boy's have been shaken twice a day last two days,dispersing copious amounts of pollen i mean clouds! It's forming layers in my tent, wish I could capture on video but its not picking it up😕 hoping it relates to strong offspring. 05/12/2018 Fourth week of flowering males are in overdrive! Making clouds of pollen I am gonna harvest some for later use (it can last 6months or more of stored correctly. I try and get video. Wish me luck👍🙏 05/14/2018 Harvesting pollen from the the boys. Hi all. Welcome to this run withbthe Viparspectra XS1500 which i was kindly sent to try by their helpful rep Valerie. As I have a fairly good space to use for my main grow , it seemed an ideal time to explore a few options while I wait for space to appear following upcoming harvests. The opportunity hit at a good time and has now driven the future play time. lol The light is a full spectrum 150W( at the socket) , Dimmable and very well made unit. As summer is here now , my concerns of more heat being an issue have stopped me from adding my other light so the smaller 2ftx2ft area covered by the XS1500 is a good option , The heatsink is built into the case design with a finned top to dissipate the heat so no noisy fans. Switching it on to full power was a nice surprise as the footprint was way wider than I had expected and the actual coverage is even better for my Nursery to harvest plan.... I am growing autos perpetually at present and have been able to throughput the plants with just 2 lights and using the overlaps at the edges to bring seedlings along to veg/flowering, as harvesting is finishing. The timing had been working well but the plants were getting smaller towards the last runs . I gave it some thought and Rh % came to mind. With the perpetual runs not having a higher rh in their veg periods due to other plants needing a lower Rh% in flower , the vapour pressure deficit (vpd) was not within veg periods healthier range. This current run has exploded and filled my normal space very quickly which in turn means I cannot use the same principle as the last perpetual run of bringing the next ones along ready for the exchanges. The XS1500 takes care of this issue with it being perfect for an initial nursery light that is easily covering all the new seedlings but is also able to cover my experimental "5 plant 1 Pot" attempt. I have placed 5 of my own autob seeds from a previous seeding in a single 60 L pot and intend to strip them to their 4th nodes and only allow 2 mains per plant to develop and flower. Inam hoping to have 10 mains growing in it that will be under the xs1500 solely as the other plants outgrow the lights footprint and space they are in. They will go into the main grow space once able so i can really see how well this new light can flower with the 10 mains to fill the space. Until that point , I will diary as we go and see what we can achieve.

Left to flower for 56 days as advised on the seeds, buds grew dense early on which is down to the nutrients, 11 1/4 oz bone dry of 4 plants, happy with the outcome now into bigger and better things

Start of week 3 and all plants doubled in size all plants are healthy, been defoliating every couple of days most of the leaf removed are the ones that overlap each other,or blocking bud sites. This week they will go under new gavita 1700e led lights. Should be interesting to see how they grow,and see what all the hype is with led tech.

Half way through the week of germination the seedling started to grow horizontally, removed humidity tent, turned off the heating pad, and built up the soil around her base. A couple days from ripened nanners and they should start cumming all over the place. Will be saving this (what I believe to be) very special pollen and crossing with some of the lower bud sites on the slurricane that remains in the garden. Will also allow the polyploid cola to pollinate itself and collect the S1's. Very excited for these nanners
