The plants were stretching a bit, pretty much as expected - except for the Sour Strawberry. I don't know if it was due to it getting a bit less light since it was much shorter, but it tripled its size and overtook all of the other plants in height. OK. I guess I could have flipped 2 weeks earlier? Anyway, stretch was almost over, flowers started forming. Some of the plants still looked a bit meh and yellow-ish, but overall the growth during stretch looked healthier than the previous 1-2 weeks.

The stretch this week has been intense, with the plant shooting up significantly. To manage her vigor and focus her energy on bud production, I’ve had to step in with defoliation and additional lollipopping. This Week’s Highlights Massive Stretch: The plant stretched dramatically this week, filling up the vertical space in the tent. Defoliation: I removed a significant amount of fan leaves to improve light penetration to the lower branches. Lollipopping Redux: Further cleaned up the lower parts of the plant, focusing her resources on the top colas. What I Did Lollipopping: Removed more of the lower branches and leaves that were unlikely to contribute to bud production. Defoliation: Took off some large fan leaves to improve airflow and light exposure throughout the canopy. Nutrients: Continued with the bloom feeding schedule, ensuring a balance of phosphorus and potassium for flower development. Environment Management: Adjusted the light height to prevent light burn and tweaked the fan placement to improve airflow in the now more open canopy. Observations The plant’s stretch has been both impressive and challenging, but the defoliation and lollipopping seem to be working. The top canopy looks well-lit and primed for flower development. No signs of stress from the grooming, which is always a relief during such an aggressive stretch. Challenges The rapid vertical growth is pushing the limits of the grow tent. I’ll need to monitor her closely to prevent overcrowding or light burn. Next Steps Keep monitoring the stretch over the next week—potential supercropping if necessary to control height. Fine-tune the nutrient schedule to ensure the plant has everything it needs as bud sites develop. Maintain low humidity to reduce the risk of mold or mildew during early flowering. Week 7 green space looking amazing

Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

Coming along nicely now apart from alittle cock up yesterday where I accidentally topped her while trying too lst but I have managed too tape the stem in place so I am hoping my little cock up will force the lower branches too shoot upwards while the broken stem heals , This week I had too change my lighting too 600 true watts of kingbo dual optical LED range due too the temps getting closer too 30c than I would like , and by doing so I have now got a constant temp of 27c lights on and 18c lights out, Update on day 4 or week 3 , My little cock up snapping the main stem while trying to lst the tape seems too have really don't the trick , and although snapping the main stem is not ideal lol , It seems I've managed too top this plant and still get too keep the top , the leaves all look fresh and healthy and feed so I will leave the tape on there for two weeks and then try and remove it as all I had too hand was selotape lol The breakage really do not seemed too affect the top 2 nodes at all apart from trigger the lower plant too stretch out , as this break was bad , like hanging on by a thread bad , so really shocked it took too the repair so easily , and as always I had just been leaching the soil with a single feed that lasts them 7 days , my set up is completely automated and I only go too the grow space once a week but I have a WiFi cam inside the grow space so I can check the temps and how dry the pots are just incase I need too increase the feeding , but too be fair these autos seem too have a mad feed at week 7 and 8 and then drink one feed per week , keeping it simple has helped I think as the plants seem too love it , and I don't need too do anything apart from check the camera , And that's just the way I like it , I pay special attention too the temps in my grow space and a calculator in hand for the nutrients , Other than that I leave them alone too do what they do , I will take some end of week 3 pics over the weekend at some point it's abit of a drive so once a week suits me down too the ground , :) Update on day 5 of week 3 well as you can see from the photos this week has had a huge raise in production , the breakage I did too the main stem has completely healed it's self and the plant has bushed right out at the bottom and top of the plant where it broke , So all in all my little cock up has actually helped the plant grow larger , I today gave them a smaller defoliation basically anything covering a branch that could not be tucked under it I removed , This is too get as much light too these spots as possible too get them too develop before flowering starts , But so far so good , temps are good and no nutrient burns on any of the plants , and the results from day one / first feed on green buzz nutrients too this photo today day 5 is dramatic , the photo of all four was before defoliation , but the defoliation has just shown how busy they have this week and the bud sites on this things already is crazy , my next plan this week is too put the net in there and space out all of the branches too give the best spacing between the breaches

I notice her Ovules are very large in size. Quite unlike any plant I have seen before. I don't know if this is a 'primative' strain but it's quite unusual. So far: 147g wet Day 77 - Staggered harvest started. When I see a couple of amber trichomes on a bud I will harvest it and leave the rest. Day 84 - The other colas are getting there slowly. I don't know if it is the heat stressing her out 30 c in tent. We have a heatwave here right now.... Day 84 - 2.11g dry ground up Day 89 - 1.72g dry ground up Day 91 - What is left of her. She looks a mess lol. Day 94 - Final harvest trimmed up and drying. Final dry total to follow in a few days. Day 100 - Final weigh up. Well we got 72.46g on the scales today. I never did wet weight after the first harvest so dismiss that. In total I got 74.57g. It is a very small harvest for me but I don't think this plant has the genetics to be a big yielder.000

Not much for feeding this week, accept for the Rezin and some blood meal since she's not as dark green as I would like. Nodes are looking okay so I'm leaving it at current light distance to keep them closer together. Did a large trim and another spray for thrips. Microbe populations are also looking good. Added supplemental CO2
