End of the third week of the stretch and they certain out did stretch indeed😳. Had to crop over the tallest female - she just stretched wayyy too much and that’s gonna go against her in the rankings when we draw out our seed on each plant. The first male has dropped fully and the others are another 1-2 days out from harvest. We’ll collect all that pollen and store it for future use if it’s needed. The plants are all showing both similarities and differences - there’s an even distribution of sativa and indica leaning phenos which suggests that there is def. Some variability in terms of traits for this F1 generation. Exactly what we were looking for as we pare this down to the second filial generation. On the overall growth - absolutely no issues at all with nutritional deficiencies which is a welcome change of pace. The last while we’ve been growing some strains that have shown very odd reactions to nute changes and I suspect this is a result of certain strains simply being bred out too far. Hard to say but the radar is definitely up with the well known breeders right now. We have some real winner pheno clones that we’ve rooted and will be flowering out once we get this tent cleaned up and free of pollen. All told, the run is progressing much better than anticipated and with the rate of turnover through transition, I’m happy to say that there isn’t any one plant I won’t consider test running on the next cycle. We did have some og auto genetics in the tent for pollination as well but that plant is looking like a bit of a mutant. Not sure if we’ll even bother with testing it at this point but you never know. Expect a harvest update on the males as we move in to the flowering side of the grow and then it’s just waiting around for seed👍. Alls well for now. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. Double Dunked got harvested 16/11 and I'm planning to let her dry for 14-21 days before trimming and put them in glass+boveda (58%) and grove bags for final cure. Drying conditions are as follows: 16-18°C 55-60% RH

Week 6 Veg - January 16/21 to 22/21 ***** Week 7 will be their last week being able to take them out of the tent😟 SCROG netting going in on the weekend ahead. Not really a lot to report this week as the girls are doing well and I am just wanting their side branches to grow longer to help filling in the canopy anyway. Performed more LST this week and bending over the branches daily. Didn’t do any HST this week, will once the net is in and I have a better visual of how the branches need to bend. They have come a long ways over the last 2 weeks when you look back at pictures. They have filled out with more side branching and other than battling a little purple striping on the main stems they seem pretty happy. Leaf colour is good and should be in good shape for the flip soon. Will go through all of week 8 before flipping so hopefully week 9 will be transition week and week 10 the start of flower.......have to get through next week first though😀👍 Switching over to tap water again. I have been struggling with calcium and magnesium deficiencies on all grows for the last year. I can’t seem to get the right amount added back to the RO water I use in all feedings. So running with straight water again now. Ppm coming out is 325 so I will work with that. Going to explore my own RO system in the house rather than bottled water, a system that adds back calcium, magnesium, and iron. It’s been flowing okay for the first week and will continue on for now. Using RO water I have been feeding full strength on the nutrients and have been working on backing them down a bit to compensate for the starting point of 325 now. They have continued to be fed once a week roughly and supplemented with calmag and microbes. Little more detail....... Jan 16/21, Day 36 Veg - 3L each of full line at full strength in RO water - 1150ppm and 5.8pH given to the girls - didn’t add any other nutes other than IPP line. Jan 17/21, Day 37 Veg - dry out day - pulled down all the girls again tonight to train them outwards. - Jan 18/21, Day 38 Veg - 3L for each girl today with tap water and CalMag @ 1ml, Microbes @ 2ml, Nature’s Candy @ 1.5ml - 700ppm and 5.7pH is what that works out to. - have to use a considerable amount of pH down to adjust the tap water, over 6ml in 16L Jan 19/21, Day 39 Veg - measured the girls today, GSCHB Is 12” tall. They were topped already😀 - dry out day for the girls. - Jan 20/21, Day 40 Veg - 2.5L each with plain tap water - 295ppm and 5.8pH. - all the girls are looking big and bushy today.......they are ready for flip soon. Jan 21/21, Day 41 Veg - dry out day for the girls. Jan 22/21, Day 42 Veg - pulled all the girls down again......repeating the same LST each day manually rather than tying down for now. - this should be water day but leaving for today as I am going to lolipop the lower branches and a heavier leaf stripping tomorrow. - will feed tomorrow as they will benefit more. Very solid week ETS......the girls are taking off and expect to see lots of leaves popping out over the next couple of weeks😀👍 Work on the side branching to come up higher closer to the tops next week.......continue tap water and give a feed with Epsom Salts new week

👉this is week start of week 8 and the switch to the 12/12 schedule. the plant is on the 6th week on the GH nutrient chart for its flora series drain to waste schedule.This is considered early bloom and the only difference from the transition nutrients is the reduction of FloraGrow and addition of Liquid KoolBloom. The water I use is RO water from a medical grade industrial machine (not on site). Its conductivity is .04ms. Its 98.5% pure water. I believe this is helping me mix my nutrients at full strength and achieve the middle to upper end of the recommended ec range. The volume of plant uptake has increased quite alot. I am averaging 2 liters two times a day, but as the week progressed a couple of high flow fertigations were needed to keep the run off below +30ms. I feed my Marigold plant the run-off after Ive measured it. The fertigation station is in a closet in another room and doorways wipe my memory so I fed 99 the runoff a couple days ago (9-16). So I fertigated 1.5 liter immediately. That runoff was close to 30+. The lights were going out so the next morning i fertigated with 4liters. That runoff was +10. That night was 2liters w/.9 liter runoff +10. I plant on keeping the flow a little high to help prevent any nutrient deficiencies while its doing the early flowering stretch. 👉The plant is lush and green and growing as a nice round bush. Stout main stalk and is 21". I began plucking lower leaves that were reducing airflow around the base. These could pose a mildew risk if left on because they are in contact with the pot and reducing airflow across the top of the media. They were shaded now by the expanding branches above so it was time to remove them. I like to take leaves gradually, one or two per fertigation event. I also have taken off the bottom 3 branches. They were healthy and had plenty of potential bud sites...but they would be in the shade and never meet the potential of the upper buds. I may take two more low branches, but I will keep them if they keep stretching outward and upwards and stay in the direct light. When they start flowering full time I will have removed as many of the potential larf bud nodes on the interior of each branch. Nothing extreme, just the basic lollipop on the bottom and reducing larf production up top. 👉I am using a cordless work light to make the pictures better. My phone camera flash isnt bright enough to over come the LED blurple and the addition of the very bright work light makes the picture way better. As you can see I will still be taking some of the pix with the LEDs on, but also use the camera flash and the work light and that helps bring out the green better. But lights out show a more detailed realistic image and I will include more pix this way. 👉Switching to 12/12 has been a challenge. I work varied hours and making it home before lights out is hit and miss. Also being a stoner I forget stuff if I get distracted by a movie, a sporting event or a shiny object, so visits to the tent during dark times will happen. I have green lights installed in the room and in the hallway. I have a good headlamp with green LEDs. I missed the first day and had to fertigate after hours...sigh. I took pictures with the green light on but no flash.

My Northern Lights #10 plant is a real beauty. I love the old-school look of the leaves and the way it's growing. It's stacking up so nicely and getting huge! It's definitely a standout in the garden. Okay, This past week has been absolutely fantastic! The weather has been incredible, and I've been able to keep the windows open almost the entire time. My plants are thriving in the humidity, and the VPD has been perfect. Everything just feels so balanced and in check.
