Chance of a Lifetime Greenhouse Seeds Competition Wonder Pie 8th May 2020 When I first saw that Greenhouse seeds were running a Worldwide competition I was amazed because Australia does not normally get included in such things, especially involving Cannabis. But I knew straight away that this was the chance of a Lifetime for me so I applied straight away. When I got the email saying I was in I was over the moon with happiness. The Contest will see the winning Diary/Grower win a trip to Amsterdam for two with accommodation in the apartment above the famous Green House smokeshop. To be in the running I simply applied to grow one of their chosen strains with their own Nutrients (greenhouse feeding) I picked and was very luckily accepted to grow the "Wonder Pie" strain alongside the Greenhouse feeding Bio Feed Range. Here is a little bit of info on the "Wonder pie" strain courtesy of Seedfinder.eu Wonder Pie, sweet, fruity and petrol aroma It is a wonderful hybrid between two really powerful lineages, Wedding Cake Cannabis Strain (aka Triangle Mints: Triangle Kush x Animal Mints) and OG Kush (Chemdawg x [Lemon Thai x Hindu Kush, Pakistan)]. It produces tall plants with a vigorous and branchy development with flexible but strong branches. It develops an ideal structure for applying pruning and moulding methods such as topping, LST or Main Linning. It also offers good results when cultivated in SCROG. These optimisation techniques help both to control its size and structure and to maximise the harvest by enhancing bud production. Wonder Pie marijuana, with a balanced, euphoric and relaxing effect The harvest is ready after about 60-65 days with a yield of up to 550g per m2 cultivated in an indoor grow tent, and a yield of up to 800g per plant cultivated outdoors. All feeds will be from the Greenhouse feeding bio nutrients range, that came with the seeds for the purpose of this competition. To win this would be a dream come true as I have always wanted to travel to Amsterdam ever since watching Cheech n Chongs Movie Still Smokin back in the 1980's as a teenager. The first steps to starting my grow are preparing my grow area, which involves a thorough cleaning with bleach. Then I set up lights and fans etc and test it all to make sure everything is working. Then on the 4th of May I recieved the seeds in the mail and immediately began to soak four seeds in some tepid water overnight before transferring them into a moistened piece of paper towel then into a ziplock baggie for another 12 hours. From there all germinated seeds will go into the rockwool cubes for about a week before being moved into the final grow out pots. From there they will veg for 7-8 weeks before I flip to 12/12 and flower them accordinly. As of today (8th May 2020) I have 3 healthy seedlings from the four seeds I soaked. So now they are up it's officially Game On 🙏 I am still waiting for the Greenhouse Feeding to arrive but thats ok because I won't need it for about a week. I chose 12 Litre Fabric pots because of the height limitations in my Grow tent (need a bigger one but cant afford it at the moment ) as soon as the powdered feeding arrives I'll mix the required amounts straight into the pots so they are ready for when I transplant the seedlings into them. Day 107 Today marks day 107 of the grow, and the plants are looking mature and well into the flowering stage. The front plant shows a stunning display of dark green to purple hues across the fan leaves, a clear sign of late flower coloration - possibly influenced by genetics and cooler night temperatures. The buds are dense and frosty, with trichomes covering nearly every surface, giving a rich, sticky appearance. The pistils are starting to darken and curl inward, indicating that the plant is approaching its final weeks before harvest. The canopy is nicely even, suggesting that training earlier in the grow paid off well. Some lower fan leaves are showing slight discoloration and minor nutrient wear - normal at this stage as the plant redirects energy toward finishing its buds. The leaves' darker tone and slightly glossy texture suggest nutrient levels are still balanced, though it might be time to begin thinking about tapering off feeding soon and preparing for a flush.

This week I added a new controller to handle up to 8 functions. I installed a new heater, my old humidifier and some LED strips to the controller. Targeting a VPD at 1.0 day and night. Trying to keep the nutrient ppm under 900 and ph at 6.0 in the reservoirs. Ordered a second ph pen because I don’t trust my readings. Will be here by Thursday. Friday: Checked the ppm in the reservoirs and it’s at 1,000. Added more RO water with extra nitrogen to bring the ppm level down to 925. Saturday: I installed an updated AC Infinity controller 69 Pro Plus (controls 8 pieces of equipment) which allowed me to add a humidifier, corner LEDs and a heater to the controller. Overall I’m extremely impressed with this AC Infinity equipment. My VPD is within the range I want to achieve (.8-1.1). I programmed it to maintain 78 degrees and 67% humidity during the day, 73 degrees and 63% humidity at night. Charts posted also show the impact of an open tent compared to the closed environment. The heater is constantly pushing fresh air into the tent, so I don’t need to cycle the exhaust fan often. Rewired the tent again and moved the controller later that night. I mounted the controller on the wall. Added Mars Hydro UV/IR lighting to fill out all 8 slots on the controller. Sunday: I checked the ph in the reservoirs (6.8….i had filled it with 6.0 ph) and the ppm (1200 ppm…I had filled it with 900). So evaporation and possibly a mismeasurement of ph. I topped ff reservoirs with slightly stronger nutes and adjusted ph to 5.8 in the reservoirs. Poor magnesium absorption could be driving some leaf yellowing. Effective tomorrow, I’m switching over to Heads Formula which consistently feeds GH Flora series nutes at Micro (6ml/g), Bloom (9ml/g) and cal mag (3ml/g). Turned on the UV/IR lights for 3 minutes every 8 hours. I’m easing the plants up to 5 minutes every 6 hours which will provide the recommended 20 minutes of IR per day. This will help the plants stretch a little more. Monday: checked ph and ppm in reservoirs. 6.1ph and 880ppm. VPD remains stable except when I open the tent. Tuesday: checked ph (6.4) and ppm (880) in reservoirs. Added .5ml of ph down to two reservoirs. Still see slight yellowing between the veins but it’s not getting worse (might be improving). Adjusting ph down to 6.0 target might have solved this. The plants grew by 1-2” last night…..is the infrared light working already? Decided to mix up fresh nutes for the reservoirs following Heads formula. 6ml Micro and 9ml Bloom per gallon of RO water. Added 5 ml of CalMag too. Ending ppm was 1080 which is too high, so I diluted down to 880 with RO water. 6.0 ph. Wednesday: plants grew another .75 inches last night. I topped above the 5th node. Thursday: added RO water with heavy cal mag to reservoirs to increase amount of CalMag available.

this week i realized that my two black sugars were sitting below the white widow and bruce banner so i raised them using some art canvases/old video game boxes. now all the plants are receiving about the same amount of light and hopefully this issue won’t affect yield too much since i corrected it before week 6 ended (since buds fatten up the most between weeks 4-6)

Lots of fattening this week lots of foxtailing too though. Plant smells strong of citrus and I can't wait to try her. Trichs not looking too amber yet but I hear some just dont, so I've pulled a small bit off to try. Watch this space!

On day 1 I adjusted the PH from 6.6 to 6.2. The tallest cola is 13.75" away from light. On day 2 I adjusted the PH from 6.4 to 6.2. The tallest cola is 12.5" away from light. On day 3 the PH is 6.2. The tallest cola is 11.5" from the light. On day 4 I didn't take data points long day... On day 5 the rez PH is 6.2. the tallest cola is 10" from the light. On day 6 the rez PH is 6.0. The tallest cola is 9.5" from the light. I defoliated heavily to bring in more light and airflow. On day 7 The tallest cola is 9" from the light. I mixed up a new rez.

Week 5 We done some LST on these this week and some light defoliation to clear the middle out to get some more light and air. I also did some leaf tucking if I could to avoid to much defoliation. put some more tie downs on new nodes really firing with bud sites now 💪 I will soon be moving these into the flowering tent 🚀 with the sf4000 and start to add Green Sensation to our feeds 👽👽👽 waiting on some buds to dry in the 3x3 then I can free up some space and begin flower. Going to be slowly lowering the humidity down this week until we at 50% - 55% Flower time 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Girls are looking great so far! I added about 2ml/g to the reservoir and the plants responded well. Got a good explosion of growth over the last few days. I was able to start LST training the largest of the 4 today and the other 3 will be a day or 2 until they will be ready to start LST. Had some Ph issues during week 4 because my pen decided to go wonky. I tried to calibrate it again and had a hard time. So I busted out an older one and decided to calibrate it and see if it worked still... calibrated in a few min and sure enough res ph was well bellow 5. So water was changed as it was time anyway and ph’d proper just before lights out so we will see what happens tomorrow.

Feed switched over to bloom (week 1 / transition): Aqua Flores A+B now in (0.7 each) alongside a tapered Vega A+B (down to 1.0, transition dose) Epsom up to 0.20 g/L (bloom value, was 0.15 in veg) for the higher Mg/S pull in flower Haifa Cal GG, Mono Trace Mix and pH down (59 % phosphoric) unchanged Mono Iron (EDDHA) stays out — Vega A + Trace carry iron fine from here, Fe holds around 1.3 Direction of the feed vs. late veg: N eases down (less Vega + Haifa), P and K climb as Flores comes in, Mg and S up from the bloom Epsom. Micros steady (Mn ~0.9, B/Zn ~0.45, Mo ~0.1), Cu still mostly tap-water copper, not feed — line flushed before the change as always. The time to move this cutie pie to the autopot came and with it the feeding applications, for this i use all in one pellets from aptus and i use about 75g for the all cycle , wen transplanting i always use the mycor mixe help to promote my root with the fungus world life.
