Plants can respond to UV stress by increasing the synthesis of xanthophyll cycle pigments, such as violaxanthin and zeaxanthin, to improve their photoprotective capacity. UV-induced changes in xanthophyll cycle pigments can be linked to a plant's overall tolerance to high radiation stress. The xanthophyll cycle helps protect against photoinhibition, which is especially important when the plant is exposed to high levels of both UV and visible light. High doses of UV radiation can directly damage photosynthetic components, including the proteins, lipids, and pigments in the thylakoid membranes. Exposure to UV radiation can have a mixed effect on the de-epoxidation state (DEPS ratio) of the xanthophyll cycle pigments. In some cases, UV can inhibit the conversion of violaxanthin to zeaxanthin, resulting in a lower DEPS ratio and a reduced capacity for energy dissipation. However, the total pool of xanthophyll cycle pigments may increase, and this enhanced pool size could provide a greater potential for photoprotection despite a lower DEPS ratio. The xanthophyll cycle works alongside other mechanisms, such as the accumulation of flavonoids (UV screens), to protect the plant from UV-induced damage. Blue light repairs 100% UV-induced damage in plants through a process called photoreactivation, which uses a light-dependent enzyme called photolyase. This enzyme uses energy from blue and UV-A light to directly reverse the damaging pyrimidine dimers in the DNA caused by UV-B radiation, a key mechanism for maintaining the plant's genetic integrity. After carbon, light, water, temperature, and nutrients, the limiting factor of a plant's growth is often its own internal factors or the amount of a key ingredient. Chlorophyll concentration is one such factor, as the amount of this pigment limits how much light can be captured for photosynthesis. The plant may increase leaf thickness or deposit more cuticular wax, creating a physical barrier to the radiation. The plant will produce more enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants to neutralize the reactive oxygen species (ROS) produced by the UV-B radiation. The plant activates enzymes, including photolyases, to repair DNA damage caused by the UV-B. These repair mechanisms are critical for preventing permanent genetic mutations. While protective measures are activated, a high dose delivered over a short period can cause stress that overwhelms the plant's defenses. Photosynthesis is highly sensitive to UV-B. A high dose can inactivate Photosystem II (PSII), damage thylakoid membranes within the chloroplasts, and reduce chlorophyll content, which lowers the plant's overall photosynthetic capacity. Despite repair mechanisms, high UV-B doses can inflict persistent damage on the plant's DNA. The overproduction of reactive oxygen species can cause oxidative stress, leading to the oxidation of lipids and proteins and disrupting cellular function. I am playing in the enchanted forest. Today, I watered both plants and checked the drain pH, which came out at 6.1 for both. Blue Dream is thriving—super vibrant, spreading out nicely, and showing great vigor. BCG, on the other hand, has been slightly droopy since transplanting and isn’t opening up as much. I also noticed that BCG holds onto more water compared to Blue Dream, as there was significantly less runoff despite using the same amount of water. The environment remains stable, with a VPD of 1.0. PPFD is set at 450, with the light positioned 35 cm above the canopy. So far, things are progressing well, and I’ll keep a close eye on BCG’s development over the next few days. Topping is planned for the end of week 2, but if BCG doesn’t recover fully, I might wait until the beginning of week 3 before topping her.

One more week of growth, the plant looks like it's entering pre-flowering Keeping the LED at a distance of 45cm from the plant. Every two days I also put a CO2 tablet in a glass of water, this water will serve to water the plant with nutrients. Watering is done with 500ml every two days. I already have the PH meter, I learned that I hope I'm not doing anything too wrong, a hug and see you next week.

Note : jegliches Zubehör wird in der GermniationsWoche aufgelistet . Day 29: + PPFD 550 * 20h = DLI 39.6 + Flaschenwasser mit Canna-Boost 1.5Liter Die war komplett Trocken ... kaum zu glauben lol Day 30: Sie alles recht normal aus . Es entfaltet sich noch . Day 31: + Flaschenwasse 2L EC 0.26 PH 7.3 + + mit Dünger EC 0.7 PH 5.7 + Drain 0.25L mit EC 0.9 PH 6.8 Fazit : ich übe noch mit dem Dünger und dem "zuviel" an Urgesteinsmehl :)) Day 32: Das Wetter ist eine Katastrophe . Draussen ist es 21°C mit 90%rH . Hier drinnen sind es im Zelt 26°C und 67%. Im GrowRoom ,also praktisch meine 1 Zimmer Wohnung mit 2x2m Niesche hat so 25.5°C und 60%rH. Luftentfeuchter läuft , sonst geht hier gar nichts, aber der produziert Abwärme . Will ich nun kalte Luft von draussen wirds hier mit 77%rH geantwortet aber die Temperaturen gehen runter :)) Lass ich es bleiben und entfeuchte , ich habe eine undichte Hütte was die Luftfeuchtigkeit betrifft , dann steigt die Wärme wieder . ES IST EIN TEUFELSKREIS :)) Aber wie gut das ich weiss das auch die ganzen CSC's und auch die Profis ihre liebe mühe haben die Temp und Luftfeuchtigkeit zu regeln . Und nein , ich werde mir keine Klimanalage einauen die beides regeln kann. Klingt komisch , ist es auch :)) Aber Ihr müsst auch nicht in denkbar schlechtester Bausubstanz leben und gärtnern :)) Day 34 : + Flaschenwasse 2L EC 0.26 PH 7.3 + + mit Dünger (Terra Vega 3.8ml/l , Rhizotonic 2.0ml/l , Boost 2.0ml/l , CannaZym 2.5ml/l ) = EC 0.7 PH 6.5 + + Final PH 6.1 Nach einigen Problemen mit der Abluft und der Umluft und die Luftfeuchtigkeit , versuchen die Zwerge sich jetzt im neuem Zelt zu aklimatisieren . Ich drück die Daumen . Day 35: Die Düngung war genau richtig . Meine Luftfeuchtigkeit geht auch . Temperaturen sind etwas hoch . Aber Sie entfaltet sich . Videos gibts heute Nacht. P.S. Da ich mal wieder zu schusselig bin eine Zeitschaltuhr und das Sanlight DIM System richtig zu nutzen , haben wir ein paar Lichtaussetzer gehabt , somit sind nicht an allen Tagen 20h Licht . In der nächsten Woche kommen 18h * PPFD 750 + 1h sonnenaufgang und + sonnenuntergang wird zu DLI 46.29 was etwas über das Limit von 45.00 geht . Schauen wir was passieren wird :))

I didn't train her this week, I'll do it again next week :-). It was poured twice this week with 1.2 l each time (see nutrient table above for adding nutrients). I sprayed them all with GreenBuzzLiquida Fast Plant spray. I also cleaned the entire tent and checked everyone's health. Fresh osmosis water was prepared and filled into canisters. Yellow boards against flies have been put up and blue tags to prevent trips. Unfortunately I still struggle with them but they have become significantly less pushed. I think in a few weeks the last story should be :-). Otherwise, like every day, they were looked at and petted for a while ;-). D1 Increase light to 90W / Lamp Plants are ~ 45 cm, 0,75 l /day D2 Ad a fan, reorganised box. LST for the main stems. D3 Trimming the side stems from node one to three D4 Plants look fine, last day with grow fertilizer. Humidity is ~50% without humidifier, plants have more transpiration caused by more light and more leafs. More transpiration means more transport and requirement of nutrients. Light is ~ 33000 lm. D5 Today is day 35 from seeding, halftime 🙂 Training was successfull, plants are bushy. I noticed the maximum plant height in my tent is 70 cm. I stopped the stretch in height this week completly. Box is very small, 50*100*180 cm First feed with bloom fertilizer EC1,8 At the afternoon some leaf tips on the top are yellow. First sign of to much nutrients ☹️ Flushed both Ladies with 2l of Aqua dest. now i know i'm driving near the limit with nutrients at the moment. D6 Both Ladies look very good. No feed today 😀 D7 Tips of new leafs are green

Básicamente lo mismo, aunque está semana pilló bastante más horas de luz(tuve que irme fuera de casa dos findes seguidos, en los cuales la dejé con la luz encendida full 24/7 en la caja) Como experiencia utilicé café reposado 48h para "alimentarla" e intentar bajar el Ph de la tierra (coco ph6+hummus ph7+vermiculita ph8= ph total 7) El otro experimento fue cubrir la tierra con coco para que el tallo eche raíces y aprovechar su espigamento! Las horas de luz solía dejarla 8h en bombilla mientras duermo, y el día la pongo en la ventana a que tome el fresco, pero apenas tiene luz directa, me da la sensación que crece más rapido cuando vuelvo del finde, estoy replanteandome tenerla más tiempo en la caja con luz, porque la veo aún pequeña, y quizá ponerle un ventilador de pc o algo🤔..veremos, aún tengo el papel de aluminio al lado de la caja y ni se lo he puesto, con eso os lo digo todo☝️🎃

These ladies are growing amazing, so good I had to bend the tops and mainline them a little. I had to tie them down to themselves as they're trying to regrow upwards. They're definitely in full flower now and looking amazing besides some crispy edges on the leafs because of the heat. All in all Happy Growing.

Terps are here, I definitely made a good choice by replacing my old carbon filter. This strain is very gassy and skunky. No fruit, candy, or citrus. Pheno 2 is finally maturing now, seems she is slower to flower. She is bulking up now pheno 2. Pheno 3 is doing well, probably going to be the first to harvest. Pheno 1 is locked out and no real progress after I burned her. I'm thinking of chucking Pheno 1 or putting it outside to finish. I have clones of all the plants, ready to flip and grow flower again. I also have started 3 different strains in baggies. 6 seeds in all. 3 regular seeds and 3 fem seeds. I have No Training Wheels by TERP Fiend x3, Ocifer by Brother's Grimm x2, and Destination Wedding by Dirty Bird Genetics x1. I hope all get to sprout. If not I have back up seeds of No Training Wheels and other strains from Lit Farms.

This plant seems to have grown much denser and better than my first plant. I just got the ac infinity ventilation setup with controller 69 for my 2x2, still trying to learn, hopefully grow #3 goes even better. Stay tuned

Day 85 all looks good. Got a new phone, so the pictures are definitely now doing her justice... As you can see, she has amazing bag appeal and she smells as good as she looks.. Zamnesia Seeds thank you so much for the opportunity to grow this strain using your awesome genetics.. As you guys can see, she is absolutely beautiful 😍.. i wish all my bud grew looking like this.. As you can see I have cannabis guttation which is that bubble of sap that you see in the close up this sab just exudes from the plant, it has no thc. Or any cannabinoids or terpens in it, it's something that happens at night, and if I didn't have this new phone I wouldn't have noticed it.. W phone .. it's no big deal at all. It's kinda cool to see as it's somewhat rare.. No big deal.. Kinda cool, there's a first for everything for us new growers ..
