It is now week 5 and i did some lst on day 30 and i have topped the end and also the first two branches that came out 3-4 days ago. The plant have very very low odor right now, you can only smell it if you are doing something on it otherwise it's okay. I've also decided as i don't have much space i will let them both grow in this 7.5l pot. If you have time leave some tips that can help me for my frist grow. Thanks :) Edit: I think on day 28 or 29 (im not sure) i did some topping for fun on the 2 of the branches that are comming out second from the bottom to the top. I did this to see how they will grow compared to non topped ones. Edit: On day 31 i saw these little new branches comming out and growing really fast. Edit: On day 34 i did some LST on new branches that are comming out.

Alright folks, I hate to admit it but I messed up. I deleted the photos for this week and I was so disappointed when I realized I did. My phone was glitching after an update so I did some maintenance and made some space, thinking I'd already uploaded my photos for the week to my drive because I'd done so for the Autos, but hadn't done the photoperiod pictures😣 But at least there's a video. On 8/1 I went to the local mushroom farmer just a couple miles down the road and got some spent hardwood substrate blocks. While there's not enough food left in them to make mushrooms, there's still live mycelium. The mycelium creates a symbiotic relationship with the cannabis plant by entering the soil and taking up residence in the root system. The roots can only take up so much surface area, but the mycelium can take up much more. So in exchange for sugars from the plant, the mycelium gives back nutrients. So in order for the mycelium to enter the soil I crumbled a couple blocks around the base of each plant and then watered it in. I hate playing this game of catch-up but it's just been wayyyy too busy and I've had hardly any time in the garden.

D16 : So far, the weather is really cloudy for the month of June and the plants stretched due to the lack of light. Since this is their final pots I decided to add a bit of soil around the stem to stabilize them. So far, it works pretty well. To test their stability, I've tried to blow on the plant before and after and the difference was clear! The weather was bad this week but knowing that, the plants grew pretty well. Okay so this is the last week, i already cut her down as you can see in one of the vids. Im in love with this plant, mainly because there is not a single sign of bud rot, she survived sveral days with humidity at 90%+ and rain. While there was almost no sun shine she fattend up quite good. The smell is so amazing, the fresh buds smell of caramell and it has this nostalgic indica smell. The dried buds, even though not cured, smell sweet and a bit like ripe mango, truly amazing just like the crazy amount of trichomes everywhere, shes so frosty. Im mourning that she didnt flower earlier, more sun would have helped her getting even fatter. Im preparing her for the harvest with the "living dead" method, i used lemon juice and water which i filled in a vase in which she will now slowly finish up in the darkness, this will help to fill the last clear trichomes with all the good stuff. I will post the harvest in the coming week.

This the first day of week 6 veg

Perfectly healthy maybe not as dark color as the other plant but thata the diversity we enjoy in this sport of growing. Showing no signs of deffinciecies or overfeeding / burning, handled the stress like a true champ!

Aug 30: it’s still hot (too hot at peak for photosynthesis) so lots of water, watering outside of growbag, etc to cool things off a bit. Sep 1: almost ready. Found a dried leaf and a spot of bud rot which was immediately removed. Main tops are almost ready and I’ll start harvesting this one later this week. Sep 2: buds are looking pretty ready (at least the tops) and the pistils changed colour last night. Heatwave is now past and now we’re into a couple days of smoke from fires in the NWT. Sucks, but at least this is the first serious smoke here this year. Sep 4: decided to do a chemical flush this year. Great buds last year but didn’t burn well because of excess P in late flowering. Considered another flush product but looking at the MSDS sheets that stuff had ‘editic acid’ which is an obscure but acceptable name for EDTA. That is a very strong chelating agent which will remove salts effectively but I’d rather avoid it. In contrast, Final Flush from Grotek has potassium sorbate (generally recognized as safe food additive) and good old citric acid which is a chelating agent but not as strong as EDTA. Similar products but citric acid is more gentle and the plant still gets some potassium. Sep 5: don’t take flash pics of photoperiod plants unless you follow up with a far red light.
