Week 5

Cold most of the week. I ran lights 24hrs last few days so temps wouldn't dip below 60. Punch 3.0 may be showing a little stress from all of it. Looking good so far. Video is from Saturday - I normally use the vipar alone for veg, I added the UFO for heat for a couple of days. I expected it to be too much light for seedlings but they are taking it fine so far. I will see if I see a difference in growth from blue to red side.

Aug 24: cool and rainy lately but will warm up again in a couple days. Gorilla Cookies looks really good and is flowering nicely. Very nice strain. Added some soluble seaweed to the water mostly for the K. Don’t take flash pics of photoperiods unless you’re immediately using a 730 nm light to put them into dark mode. Using the far red light like this is known as phyto-forcing and it’s like getting an extra two hours of darkness making a 26 h day. This far north I think it moves flowering up by 3-4 weeks so obviously a huge trick. Easy and cheap if you have daily access at dusk. Aug 26: it’s been a couple of weeks but I figured it was time for a lazy compost tea. I watered with it slightly diluted and the plants look almost immediately greener and more vigorous…amazing actually. 👍👍 Aug 27: this is definitely the fastest flowering of the four. Hopefully it stays sunny for a few more weeks. Thinned out the understory a bit as there were some small branches and bud sites that were not going to do anything. Check out the birds sounds on the first video. The magpies thought I was too close to their nest in the tree or something…they’re usually not quite that annoying. Aug 29: this is a great strain, and the manifold is working its magic.

Puffing finished on tops.. popcorn catching up. Hairs turning all brown on tops. Starting to get a little amber now. Had planned on 70 days to chop, but we shall see.. fuc8ng mites too btw...

Es ist soweit! Am Freitag habe ich die fünf Easy Buds nach knapp 11 1/2 Wochen abgeschnitten und geerntet. Leider musste ich feststellen, dass eine Pflanze ziemlich stark befallen war. Ich vermute eine Milbenart oder möglicherweise Fliegeneier. Unterhalb der Blätter waren etliche dunkelgelbe und dunkelbraune Eier, die man auf den ersten Blick kaum erkennen konnte. Bei genauerem Hinsehen sieht man jedoch, dass sich der Befall auf die ganze Pflanze ausgeweitet hatte. Glücklicherweise blieben die vier anderen Pflanzen verschont. Aus diesem Grund trockne ich die Pflanzen auch getrennt voneinander. Die befallene Pflanze wollte ich nicht direkt wegwerfen, sondern erstmal trocknen lassen. Im Nachhinein werde ich schauen, wie ich mögliche Schadensbegrenzung betreiben kann. Die vier gesunden Pflanzen werden in einem geschlossenen Zelt in einem Trocknungsbeutel getrocknet. Die befallene Pflanze habe ich in dem Folienzelt aufgehängt und mit einer Plane abgedeckt. Nach wenigen Tagen der Trocknung sieht soweit eigentlich alles gut aus. Die Eier scheinen nicht mehr zu schlüpfen, sondern fallen von der Blüte ab oder verschrumpeln zu Kompost. Ich hoffe, dass es dabei bleibt. Der Geruch hat sich nach dem Abschneiden deutlich verändert. Schon nach der kurzen Trocknungszeit kann ich einen intensiveren Geruch feststellen, der sich noch nicht so richtig beschreiben lässt. Die Blüten waren stark mit den sogenannten "Sugar Leaves" verwachsen, weshalb ich sie grob getrimmt habe, um sie zum Trocknen aufzuhängen. Nachdem die Blüten vollständig getrocknet sind, werde ich die Buds noch einmal einzeln trimmen und durch meine Trimm-Maschine von Vevor jagen. Der Ernteprozess hat zu zweit circa eine Stunde gedauert. Die Pflanzen waren zum Zeitpunkt der Ernte noch sehr gesund und kräftig. Die Verwurzelung war trotz des geschlossenen Topfes sehr gut. Die schönste Bud hat definitiv die zentrale Pflanze, Greta, ergeben. Nass hätte ich den Bud auf mindestens 12 g geschätzt. Ein Gesamtgewicht des nassen Pflanzenmaterials habe ich nicht ermittelt. Sobald alles trocken und fertig beschnitten ist, werde ich das Tagebuch um den trockenen Betrag ergänzen. Stand jetzt würde ich schätzen, dass der Ertrag aller Pflanzen bei circa 40-50 g liegt, was mich für meinen ersten Grow ziemlich zufrieden stellt, besonders in Anbetracht dieser wirklich sehr simplen Strain. Alrighty, we’re closing in on the final transplant (moving from 3L to 11L) which should really encourage lateral growth. The two Northern Lights plants are very compact, so I’m already working on opening up the canopy early to prepare for a proper SCROG. If we transplant within the next 7 days, we’re likely looking at flipping to bloom in about three weeks. As a newbie to photoperiods (I’ve only run autos before), the growth pace feels very different; slower and more deliberate. But I actually enjoy how much more control you have. You can really shape them the way you want. Next step: stretch that canopy wide and let the net do its magic. The screen is coming soon; let’s weave a green carpet. WEEK 17 It’s coming to an end with this grow. I’ve already reduced the nutrients over the course of the week and I think I’ll be able to harvest soon. At the moment, a few amber-colored trichomes can already be seen. The buds have become thick and firm by now and are covered in plenty of resin. Now it’s entering the final phase, and I’m already looking forward to the harvest. PPFD: 1000µmol/m²/s Water: 2x water 1x nutrient solution Vpd: 1,8Kpa

Buds evolving greatly , put in first P/K boost this week Buds are full of resin, real frosty, must be from UVA...last grow with same strain had much less resin at the same time and same conditions First signs of leafburn due to UVA, but only on 1 leaf so far...will keep the 5h / day

This plant is freaking amazing, at day 53 buds are going to look like really hazy buds, really sativa flower building ,flower on flower. It is really beginning to have the looks of some silverhaze at day 56 insain i think. This is one of the fast autoflower i did.I mean she is not even flowering full 5 weeks. Another thing is she is smelling big time now, It is a strong powerfull smell most dominant diesel smell, even more diesel then the brooklys sunrise i'm also doing at this moment. I also smell some sweetness and lemonish, both more in the background. Thanks for checking 😋

The reveg on Cherry is so aggressive I am in love, more buds and bigger buds. I am getting caught between under and over feeding my babies this cycle, I had the time, when I was starting

What's good growmies! This plant REEKS Even with the air being vented outside trough a carbon filter, the room still has a weak "eau de Stracciatella" I don't have the vocabulary or nose to place the scents like some growers can, all I know is, its f-ing loud and she's only mid flower, I *cannot* wait to smell this baby when she is cured. I'm following Plagron's Feeding Shedule, I posted it a few weeks back, I dropped all organic additives, however, so no Sugar royal, no Pure Zym and sure as f no Power Roots, even though I contacted Plagron and have been told these additives work wonders in Hydro, I just can't, it makes the water black, gunk collects around my roots and pumps, if anyone has any advice or insight as to what I'm doing wrong, please let me know, But my gut is telling me I do not have the money or equipment for Organics, the fact that I'm expected to replace 50 liters of reservoir every 48 hours in and of itself is a massive deterrent. that rant aside, Green Sensation is obviously doing work, however, I noticed my EC rising all the way up to *2.4* this week! which is absolutely no bueno, a couple of fan leaves started showing some burnt tips, Luckily its DWC and a quick adjustment with a few liters of plain Ph'd water immediately stopped that. Why was my EC rising? well the logical answer is Overfeeding! plant is not taking all the food I'm giving her so as the water gets taken up, the nutrients become more concentrated, so to fix that I'm halving my Green sensation dose, DWC kicks ass when it comes to this, there is little guessing, and a lot is measured. and as we all know, what gets measured gets managed. This Diary is on cruise control, I don't think aside from watching those nuggies fatten up, there will be much change in this garden from here on out. I'm starting another Diary soon, Zamnesia send me some Runtz to grow and show the world, which is great because I was planning to grow some legendary Runtz anyway! 😉 got a closet I'll be turning into a Autoflower/Veg tent, get some babies started in there using kratky, then once the time for flower comes, drop em into RDWC Thanks for stopping by this week and observing my baby's development, she's quite a slow finisher, but I'm growing fond of her. Another nice week of beautiful weather. Have been on total cruise control this week on a little water here and there. Did some topping and super cropping. Not much at all to report the fast buds are in full flower and doing well. Happy growing folks🤙🏻

End of week 3 .

The plants are growing pretty well and I did some trimming and LST to prepare them for flower next week. There is one phenotype that is really short and bushy compared to the other 2. i just fed the plants once nutrients because i did transplanted my plant like every 10 days. They are very resistent against LST, trimming and topping. 🌴🍪🔥

This week the Jack Herer has exploded. The branches have become dense, swollen buds with lots of pistils that are turning orange. The smell has become much more intense and citrusy, however, I think it is further along that it should be. So far this seedling is growing nicely. I hope it continues like this

Removed a pair of the larger leaves to allow for more light to hit the side branches. As the pics show I've introduced a couple of ladybugs to see if they can actually be used for pest control. They've survived but look quite passive.. Not sure there's enough for them to eat :-).
