Hi Growmies, I'm excited to share some big news today! Although there have been some unexpected twists, it's all part of the incredible journey of gardening. I've just completed the harvest, a tad earlier than initially planned, due to finding a bit of mold in one of the buds. Despite this minor hiccup, the trichomes were already at a decent 10% to 15% amber. So, all things considered, the timing ended up being pretty spot-on. The harvested weight was a solid 609 grams after trimming, which is quite a feat! A lesson learned for next time: perhaps I let her grow a few too many buds, leading to a denser canopy than ideal. But on the bright side, the aroma is absolutely divine. I sampled an airy bud that had dried a bit, and wow, it packs a stronger punch than its clone mother. And the flavor? Pure, unadulterated cheese – no hint of pineapple here! Now, the anticipation builds for the final dry weight, which I should know in about 3-4 days. It's always exciting to see the fruits of our labor fully realized. A huge thanks to everyone who's been following along on this journey. Your interest and support mean the world. And now, the adventure continues! I've started on Epic Buzz by Anesia Seeds. The diary for this new chapter is up and running, and the seedlings have already sprouted, marking the beginning of another exciting phase. (https://growdiaries.com/diaries/185718-grow-journal-by-salokin) I can't wait to share more updates with you all. Here's to the continued growth and learning in our gardening adventures!

BM is coming right along , smells absolutely divinely fruity and is well sticky. Just keeping up the defol once a week and spreading her out a little. She’s been effortless to grow so far just gonna keep doing the same same and watch her fatten up the next few weeks

It is week three of flowering, and the net has been installed. Both ladies have also been defoliated. I am very happy with how things are going so far. Let's hope for buds as big as lemons! 🍋🍋🍋🍒🍒🍒

Left them alone this week except for a watering. First strong one I gave them. Found a mushroom in my soil a couple days later. Think I might have disturbed him because he died on me.

Week 4 My girl reaches her final size. This was the plant that suffered the most with unbalanced soil. I took the opportunity to put the scrog that will be more to support the buds weight. Despite the initial deformity of the leaves, the plant has a very healthy aspect and a very balanced coloring, so I believe that this adventure will not influence the flavor of the flowers. In few weeks... HARVEST TIME 😋 Day 22 Hard defoliation on fan leaves.

This week went pretty good, the flowers are getting super sticky and smell amazing, but they're packing on quite as much weight as I hoped. I had a friend over who told me it looked like I was growing a tree in a solo cup, so I think I might run these same genetics back next and pot her up from a solo cup to a 3 gallon pot, get the manifold built, then pot up to a 12.5 gallon air pot. I am going to take the wife on a couple vacations or "holidays" as most of you would say. But yeah I plan to run the same genetics, same training, same lights, everything and see what kind of difference a larger pot alone can make. Anyways not much left for me to do until harvest, I am watching the trichomes closely, I will probably start the flush within a week or so. Thanks for stopping by, be safe and blaze on.

Day 15 Flower (Day 57) The first day of week 3 of flower. I switched the light recipe in my main tent from the Flower Induction program to the Flower program now when the right girl is in flower. I also gave her 3 liters of pH 6.1 water. The left girl didn't need any water though. That was all today. Day 16 Flower (Day 58) All I did today was to give each girl 3 liters of pH 6.5 water. Day 17 Flower (Day 59) I gave the right girl 3 liters of pH 5.9 water today. It's a bit low maybe (added too much pH down and was too lazy to fix it) but should be alright. My pH is different each watering anyway, as I aim to optimize nutrient uptake by covering a broader pH range. The left girl didn't need any today as she drinks a lot less due to being smaller. That being said, she is now hitting the light :/ It was never my intention to grow her in such a confined space, but here we are. She should have been trained differently and vegged shorter to grow correctly in such a small space. I have ordered a new, taller tent which will arrive next week. Until then, she'll be snug, and I don't think I can take any canopy pics for a few days. I started brewing some compost tea following the same recipe as previously (worm castings, rock dust, biochar, lime, bentonite, neem meal, kelp meal, and molasses), but I upped the castings, the neem, and the kelp. Long overdue as it was over two weeks since last time. I will feed this tea (unfiltered) tomorrow after 24 hrs of brewing. Day 18 Flower (Day 60) Today I gave each girl 3 liters of pH 6.3 compost tea that brewed for 26 hours. I also added a few tablespoons worth of alfalfa seeds that I ran through a blender first to beat up into a powder. I didn't filter the tea, so all ingredients ended up as a top dressing that will get watered in as time goes. The small tent is packed, and the girl is pressing up against the light. It got to hold out until next week, so it is what it is. It is getting a bit cramped in the main tent as well, so I moved up the lights as far as I could without going full McGyver. It's the first time I grow this strain, but she sure is a stretcher. The weather has gotten warm here (finally!), but of course, now my tent is getting even hotter. I'm trying to combat it to some extent by running the extractor fan more. That will get the temp down a bit, but unfortunately, it will also cause the humidity to drop. I put in my small humidifier to help with that, so the VPD is still in a reasonable range. Day 19 Flower (Day 61) I defoliated the right girl today by removing some leaves and branches low down where the lights don't reach. The left girl must also be done, but I'll work on her when she is between tents next week. I also gave the right girl 3 liters of pH 6.5 water. That was it for today. Day 20 Flower (Day 62) All I did today was to water each girl with 3 liters of pH 6.7 water. I hope that my new tent arrives sooner rather than later since the left girl is pushing up so much against the light that the top flowers are starting to get burnt. Wonderful... :( I've turned down the light as low as it goes (15%), that's pretty much all I can do except turning off the light completely. Day 21 Flower (Day 63) The last day of the third week of flower and things are moving along nicely except for the crowded tent, but hopefully, the new tent will solve that in a day or two. The left girl is 85 cm tall (17 cm increase in a week), and the right girl is 117 cm tall (also a 17 cm increase in a week). There wasn't much to do today. I gave the right girl 3 liters of pH 6.5 water and snapped a few pics. That's all.

It's week eight of flowering, and Purple Punch x Lemon Drizzle has developed really nicely. The buds are relatively thick and firm, and the sweet aroma got me looking forward to the first taste test. Unfortunately, Lemon Cherry Gelato has not developed as well. The buds are not as thick and firm as I would like yet, but the smell is truly breathtaking.

Really loved this plant and how it grew other then the fox tails, Unfortunately I had to move this weekend and just couldn’t continue growing her and moving at the same time. She still had a good 1-2 weeks left but what is there looks really good will update when she finishes drying.

So this one started slow but healthy. She was a sativa that expected much more leg space and warmer humid climate which i fixed later. Needs LsT. I hit it with my concoction to keep her short it worked. Dense nugs especially for sativa hybrid. Not loud but tropical sweet. I needed 11 weeks min for flower could run 12 even though I seeded mine. Tiny sativa seeds like the original ibl bred by jaffa seeds uk and brought to me by Pevseeds. Not bad for under a cheap 120w led quantum and 3 gallon grow bag. I should have went with 5. The roots were amazing dense.

🌿 Week 4 – Vegetative Stage Strain: Permanent Marker (Zamnesia Seeds) Project: Dognabis Cup Example Grow 🌍 ⸻ 💚 Growth Before the Flip The girls are still in veg, but they’re showing such strong, pre-flower-like development that it almost feels like they’re ahead of schedule. Internodal spacing is tight, leaf formation is elegant, and both phenos (PM#1 and PM#2) remain incredibly similar in structure, color, and vigor. They have a compact yet big presence, lush canopies with balanced symmetry. The consistency in these genetics is impressive, and they’ve kept their health spotless from the start. ⸻ 📸 Studio Shots This week, we brought them into the studio to capture their beauty one last time before they transition to flower. Deep greens, perfect leaf serration, and textbook node formation, they’re looking ready for the big stage. ⸻ 💧 Feeding – No Change in Recipe We continue with the same nutrient schedule as before: • Start Booster – To encourage strong root systems and microbial support • CalMag Boost – To ensure no deficiencies and strong cell walls • Regulator – For nutrient uptake efficiency and plant resilience • pH: ~6.1 • Feed EC: ~0.6 (pellets in the soil are still doing a lot of the work) This consistency is key, we want them steady and strong going into the flip. ⸻ 🌿 Environment & Measurements • Air Temp: ~31°C (slightly high, AC unit arriving soon to improve this) • Humidity: ~50% • CO₂: ~700 ppm • Soil Temp: ~25°C • Watering: ~1.5–2.0 L/day, triggered at ~25% soil dryness • Soil EC: ~2.0 (nutrient balance remains ideal) • PPFD: 760–780 µmol/m²/s, with natural variation due to untrained growth pattern ⸻ 🎓 Why the Data Matters Tracking PPFD, soil EC, dryness, temperature, and CO₂ isn’t just technical, it’s about reading the plants. These numbers help anticipate issues before they show visually, fine-tune growth rates, and ensure optimal conditions for the flip. ⸻ 👑 The Queen Awaits Permanent Marker remains one of the most exciting modern strains, a new-school heavy-hitter with legendary parentage (Biscotti x Jealousy x Sherb Bx). As an example grow for the Dognabis Cup, these plants are showing exactly what careful, consistent cultivation can achieve. ⸻ 🔮 Next Week: The Flip This is the last week of vegetative growth. The next stage will see the girls officially move into flower, where we expect explosive bud site development and that unmistakable Permanent Marker frost. For now, we enjoy the sight of healthy, happy queens, calm before the floral storm. 📲 Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. This week, we feed mycorrhizal fungi to the plants and it gets the excellent results. The plants grow extraodinarily.
