Here's the outdoor update on the SFV, still standing tall at 6 feet and 4 inches at week 12 with the cali days stretched from 12 hr flowering to still 14hr sunlight days she's still going through some late blooming but no deficiencys the leaves 🍃 nor on the stems, there looking great and green. 25 gal pot I gave her 4 gallons of fresh water must needed on these long hot days in cali. Starting this week I will also add Oxygen granulate (KMPS, CAS-70693-62-8, 2KHSO₅ * KHSO₄ * K₂SO₄) I use this once a day to reach ~250 mV on my ORP meter, it is not calibrated so it more of a good guess, adding this helps to keep the reservoir stable even with higher nutrient temperatures in summer and it also adds a little Kalium/Potassium for the plants. The ORP probe is not calibrated and values are to be taken with a grain of salt. Values are average of the day. Overall tougher strain to grow but a delight once finished. Found myself doing work around the house or jamming to music more often than not after smoking this strain. Tasted earthy with a hint of mint.

Week 6 / flowering Everything is looking good so far. The plants are stacking weight nicely and there are no major nutrient lockout issues at the moment. The next couple of weeks will be all about keeping things balanced and not pushing them too hard before flush week.There was a minor heat-stress burn during a temperature spike, but it’s under control now. The purple colors from the genetics are starting to come through on some phenos, which is great to see. Cold weather slowing things done a bit

A lot has happened this week. After I watered the nettle manure, some of the leaves turned a little yellow. There seems to have been enough nitrogen left in the soil, so this week there was only pure water. Unfortunately, my supply of rainwater is pretty empty, so I topped up the tank with tap water. After I noticed that the roots were already coming out of the drainage holes, I thought it was time for another repotting. As you can see, the roots have spread well. This time the plant will be planted in the 55-litre end pot. I'm using a fabric pot from the brand Gronest. The soil is the same as for the first repotting. Here is the nutrient profile again. Floragard TKS 2 N 210 mg/L - P 240 mg/L - K 270 mg/L - Mg 70 mg/L - S 150mg/L After repotting, I defoliated the plant a little and attached plant hooks. I have looked for inspiration on the Internet and am trying to build up a good basic structure. As the pot size has changed, the watering quantity also had to be increased. I tried 8 litres this time every 2 to 3 days and nothing leaked out at the bottom. The weather was better again this week. The daytime temperatures fluctuate between 17 and 22 degrees. I'm happy with the weather so far, but it could still get a bit warmer. Especially at night.

Week 10 Flower After 4 whole weeks of flush this girl has finally met the scissors ✂️ It took her quite some time to fade out, but after cutting down the most faded half of the plant that was closest to the light on Day 65, and then the rest on Day 70 it was long enough. I'm very impressed with how fat and chunky this girl has become. I wasn't expecting quite this size from first look at her thinner stems and branchy structure earlier in flower, but her buds have swelled up nonetheless and she's stacked well. I always cut my girls down around half an hour (or a bit more) before the lights are due to turn on. This prevents her from starting any chlorophyll production in order to maintain the best flavour and burn. Only a few fans were taken off before being left to hang dry as she's absolutely covered in trichomes! Don't throw away your sugar trim (leaves with trichomes) as this can later be used for dry sift, which can then be pressed for some dank rosin. Harvest update coming soon! Day 16: What a good week for these girls. They initially looked like slow starters but soon have picked their pace up and now appear the biggest group of the strains growing as a whole. They are nice and green looking throughout and it looks like the LOS may be the leader so far. I am stoked with the strains I have running now and their speed is phenomenal. Seeing how quickly they have all changed in such a short time gives me a lot of confidence for their finish. Bring it on fast buds. Your impressing the hell out of me

Well today is week five day 44 of flower this girl is fattening up very nicely some nice big colas coming not so much as a cheese smell to her got that musky sweet gorilla glue smell about her

Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!
