Lilly x White Widow is doing great under the Spider Farmer G5000/UVR40 lights, in the Athena blended line nutrition. The canopy just got lollipopped. I also selectively defoliated the canopy. 02/03/2022 Bottom deposit has dropped 3 to 4 liters, again. pH was up to 6.2 and EC has dropped to 1.5 (I guess they consume well the nutrients, if it was only evaporation EC should rise). I decide to wait tomorrow to refill and adjust, pH will rise probably to 6.4. I have now some doubts on the remaining space to rise up the light and defoliation of the bottom of the plant. 28/02/2022 Back from WE, everything fine, good smell already. Bottom deposit dropped 4L, pH up to 6.3 Ec dropped to 1.35. I just lowered the pH to 5.8 and tomorrow I fill again the bottom tank and adjust nutrients to 1.7 again. 26/02/22 Tank filled. Adapt nutrients solution to 1.7 EC then wait 24h, bottom solution dropped to 1.5 EC, set pH to 5.8. Will leave for 2 days and not attended... so that would be surprise to see Monday night how pH and EC have evolved!

Cut a few of the colas off to dry,alot of the tops are done and now just focusing on the bottom buds to ripen and turn amber :) Had a smoke today of the tallest cola,smokes great and haven't been this high in a long time so impressed with her !

Light still on 500w and stretch is in full flow, not put on as much height as the other side of the tent in the Wilmas but obviously due to such a large plant (5ft square in a 20L pot) in a single pot. Day 21 I will defoliate and maybe trim away a few smaller bud sites

Continuing to water almost everyday as the pot size is too small and the buds are packing on the weight and frost. I am giving them almost 4 liters of water everyday. I am going to skip today (monday) just to make sure im not promoting any root rot, although I know I will be sacrificing some microbes. I will water them on my Live first thing Tuesday morning. Im noticing a little bit of bronzing on the leaves of one, its something I get almost every grow in flower. Im thinking it is beacuse I need to change my RO filters, as I live in the country and use well water and I think It is a buildup of iron. I have crazy high iron even when I use an RO. I believe my TDS was still 400 with filtration lol. If I change the filters I should be able to get it back down to 100 to 150 ppm. We are on auto pilot right now with this garden, just have to water and nurture and I know I am going to get an amazing result in about 3 weeks or so!

Day 114. Gorilla Max is totally ready, maybe she would bulk up, but last white pistil went brown at least a week ago. Time to trim. Bud not solid, but kinda hard, bottom all airy and small, but she smells and sticky like hell, so fruity ... Had to chop her, because got tiered of seeds everywhere, so cleaned my draws and fridge, from 45 found bag seeds started new diary, had to make space for them. Want to try out 12/12 from start and even if i would leave them under natural sun , they would stretch too much in first stage of grow and would repeat that grow patern indoors. Scissors hash was nice, super soft, hard to roll, all stays on hands. On this plant found two seeds, maybe some hidden in colas, but its not even close to bad that i was imagining at the beginning. My watering damage is obvious, Gorilla Max and Bunny were best plants, now - they are smallest... Last weeks very important, till week 5 of flower and that incident they were leaders, overdrying don't work . Hope i will learn this lesson. Day 120. Last 3 girls are down. Gorilla Max - 88 g. Of dry bud. Think she and Bunny will be smallest of them all. Buds are airy, but very sticky and all calaxies went pink. So in spliff it looks really funky. Needed to lolitop them higher, maybe overall look and cola structure would be better then. Lanky Gorilla is a champ, no doubt. Think this girl should beat 4 ounces easy. Day 126. So total of all 4 plants is 401. A bit less than was hoping, but target achieved. Update will follow.

The Flowers grow fast

End of Week 10 (Third week of flower) The ladies are frosting up slightly and there are trichomes developing on the fan leaves, this can only mean that they are happy, the genetics are fire and that we are in for a treat! The main top-sites are swelling up by the day. Trying to keep the training to a bare minimum and ONLY removing fan leaves that are blocking bud sites. The lower part of the canopy is denser than I would have liked but I do not want to stress the plants too much by removing it at all. I will now try to keep a cooler average temperature in the following couple of weeks to promote healthy flower development and hopefully bring out some beautiful colours - and also keep the relative humidity lower to ensure that the plants aren't susceptible to mould and mildew. Overall this plant was great to grow, she just grew and was happy doing it the entire time, pretty good yield off a plant that was only about 12inches tall. Seemed to be a lot more resistant to deficiencies then the other two strains this grow. Definitely a great mid-day Smoke!

I stopped feeding last Friday, and they’ll be on plain water until harvest. I’m not convinced by the lack of proper experimental evidence behind flushing, but I wanted to try it myself since so many people report a difference. I’m planning to harvest in about 7–10 days, aiming for a less sedative effect, while still preserving terpene production.

I inspected the little ones and noticed signs of Thrips, annoying buggers. I treated them with neem oil and a time released pest fumigator strip (last 3 months). I gave all the girls Flower Fuel a granular bloom booster I got off of amazon last year. I never had issues with it though I haven’t used beastie blooms or other common bloom boosters on the market. The week after next (week 7) I’ll add powdered amendments to keep them going till harvest. I may even amend at week 6 so they get a head start on breaking down all the organic materials. Everything is ph’d to ~6.5, the girls are looking healthy and will be ready for feeding soon. ‖ PESTS ‖ Found a few thrips around, still managing the white flies okay but I’ll need to tackle the thrips immediately to prevent stunted growth and stress to the girls. I use neem oil, green cleaner (not the kitchen disinfectant) and a slow release fumigation strip that helps with most pest. ‖ FINAL THOUGHTS ‖ This week has gone well, again I was surprised with the growth rate during this week. The stretch period is still going for some of the girls so I’ll keep updating on their individual growth stats for the next couple of weeks. I’ll need to inspect my plants a bit more carefully so I don’t miss any signs of stress, pests , etc. I may be partially blind but I can still make a better effort in spotting these potential issues, I’m still learning :) Well, it’s been a great week, got some work ahead of me.
