Sativa dominant hybrids did the best, the Fastberry and the banana purple punch did not really develop as the other two. In specifics the cbd crack developed sizable buds, and the blue dream as well, the flowers are not as developed tight and dense as in the indoor grow. A bit of fox-tailing nothing too expressive. Minimal work, as per the setup chosen, an no extra nutes this week.

AUGUST 24 to AUGUST 30, 2024 Sunrise 07:05, sunset 20:50 for total daylight of 13:45 hours. Specimen continues to push upwards, gaining approximately 13cm in height over the past week. Plant is taller than anticipated and planned for, which could present some difficulties as it's getting into the oscillating air circulation fan's wake. Was surprised to see the continued stretch, but there were two days of high heat that may have been the trigger, or, it may have been the result of defoliation and pruning, or it was simply the plant's final push, or a combination of all those factors. It appears to have crowned, or is close to being fully crowned, and as such I undertook a fairly heavy defoliation to improve airflow through the bottom of the plant, and strategically removed leaves in the upper canopy to improve light exposure. Fungus gnats did regain their hold, and so I decided to top dress with Bacillus Thuringiensis Israelensis (delivered via pulverized Mosquito Dunks) in an effort to kill larvae, treated with Soil Pest Defense (Neem Oil, Castile Soap and Yucca Extract) and replaced Bug Scan Yellow Sticky Traps at soil level. Effects were pretty immediate, but I will need to stay on top of this. Would like to cease use of Neem Oil in the soil, so considering acquiring some beneficial nematodes to combat the pest issue. Overall, specimen and its' "neighbours" in the greenhouse are doing well, and filling the room. When accounting for the bench and containers, tops of plants are over 152cm (5ft) from ground level. It is making management a little more challenging, and proving to be more difficult to find good angles to photograph (the space is pretty much filled up). The scent of citrus, skunk and spice emanating from the greenhouse is building, and at times quite strong. Still appears to me to be on-track for ripening the week of October 14, 2024. Day 120 - n/a Day 121 - Drip watered 5.0L of plain rainwater with pH of 6.7 Day 122 - n/a Day 123 - Defoliated specimens, focused on removing leaves from lower parts of the plant to improve airflow (lollipop), pruning hidden or non-producing branches, and strategically removing select upper fan leaves to improve light exposure and airflow. Day 124 - Top dressed with pulverized Mosquito Dunk (1/4 unit per specimen); 1.5L drip watered with plain rainwater in the morning; Hand watered 2.0L of Soil Pest Defense Drench in the afternoon; Hand watered 1.0L of plain rainwater about 30 minutes after soil drench; Replaced Bug Scan Yellow Sticky Traps (1 unit per specimen, cut in half and rested at soil surface on two sides; With defoliation from yesterday, room air flow seems adequate, after increasing speed of lower fans. Day 125 - n/a Day 126 - n/a Next week, planning to feed the rhizosphere with Compost Tea and continue efforts to control fungus gnat population.

New week, new growth. So we have done another defoliation to allow the lower shoots to be exposed to the lights which equal to a better yield come flower time, they always need a day or 2 recover after being put under any stress, especially if its an extreme amount of leaves being taken off. They were also lollipoped to clear up and messy under growth and to improve airflow under the canopy. I also took clones from each of these. Paying close attention to the EC and pH. Increasing and decreasing as and when I need to going off what the plants show me. Close to flower now. A few days to go! Had beautiful weather out one out another tomorrow and looking for a spot to grow some regular seeds kc brains 36 want a male to cross with some autos for seeds crossing some quick one RQS bigheads super fast auto possibly a bit Frisian duck but there my main crop this year as growing outside can be huge and seen some great diaries organiclarf for instance so happy so far add more pics soon

Blütewoche 2 – Blattpflege, ScrOG & Biologischer Pflanzenschutz Zeitraum: Vom 29. Mai bis 05. Juni Moin zusammen! Ich habe mir mein bisheriges Grow-Tagebuch angesehen und beschlossen, künftig auf Deutsch weiterzuschreiben, damit ich mir das ständige Übersetzen spare und gleichzeitig einen Beitrag zur deutschsprachigen Grow-Community leisten kann. Entlaubung & ScrOG-Fädeln: In dieser Woche habe ich die King Juice großflächig entlaubt, um Licht und Luft besser ins Innere der Pflanze gelangen zu lassen. Die Äste wurden durch das ScrOG-Netz gefädelt, damit sie sich gleichmäßig über die Fläche verteilen. Zu Beginn war sie etwa 55 cm im Durchmesser – zum Ende der Woche war sie auf ca. 60 cm angewachsen. Biologischer Pflanzenschutz – Nützlinge: Zum Schutz gegen Schädlinge habe ich zwei Koppert-Produkte eingesetzt: - Swirski‑Mite Plus – enthält Amblyseius swirskii, eine Schlupf‑ und Raubmilbe, die sich besonders gegen Larven von Thripsen und Weißen Fliegen richtet  - Spical Plus – beheimatet Neoseiulus californicus, eine generalistische Raubmilbe, ideal gegen Spinnmilben, aber auch gegen andere Blattmilben  Diese Nützlinge werden in langsam freisetzenden Beuteln angebracht und helfen präventiv im biologischen Schädlingsmanagement – damit es gar nicht erst zu größeren Problemen kommt. Pflanzenzustand: Die King Juice hat sich zügig erholt, wirkt vital und wächst kräftig weiter. Das Blattwerk zeigt ein sattes Grün, ohne Anzeichen von Mangelerscheinungen. Sehr zufriedenstellend! Bewässerung & Mikrobenkultur: Das Substrat ist noch gut feucht. Deshalb werde ich wie gewohnt erst zu Beginn der nächsten Woche erneut gießen. Making butter is not very hard just time consuming but I very much enjoy making it. If you want really good butter you gotta cook slow and for long time. I ground 39 grams of my Granddaddy Purple and Purple Kush with 8oz (227 grams) butter. I decarbed the ground bud at 220 f for 40 minutes. While the bud is in the oven I melt the butter slowly with 1 cup of water. When butter is melted and the oven timer finishes add bud to butter and simmer for at least 8 hours, I did it for 12 hours. Never let boil! Add 1/4 cup water every 1-2 hours. After I will lay cheese cloth over plastic container and strain and squeeze all the goodness out. The leave in fridge over night, I squeeze the sides and drain excess water from below and butter is all ready. Thanks for checking out my butter recipe. Good luck stay safe happy growing cheers!!!!!

Starting to stretch a lot 3 plants 32 in the rest about 24. Have about 2 feet left until max light height. Do you think they will get that tall?

DAY 53 Had to take out of the room the Amnesia XXL hermaphrodite; cant take the risk of turning the rest into males too. DAY 54 FUUUCKKK!! The wind dropped a piece of heavy wood onto the plants!!! 1 of the Moby Dick was totally broken. Some branches of the neighbour plants were affected too. So that's 2 plants lost at the moment (the hermaphrodite and the broken one). Day 56 Two days after the tragedy. Had to reorganize the room to prevent similar accidents in the future 🖤😢 Saved the most I could but definately this stressing event will influence the plant’s development. Also, considering taking out the claw leaved plant, which has signs of hermaphroditism (FML again 😫). Hope these 7 make it till the end. PS: Also, there’s 1 Moby Dick which has no signs of flowering at day 56, cant figure out what’s happening with it. I’m starting to think that it’s an Regular Feminized seed instead of an autoflowering.

I SOAKED THE SEEDS IN A CUP OF WATER, WITH A DASH OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, FOR 24 HRS. I THEN DUMPED THEM ON A PLATE BETWEEN PAPERTOWLS, AND ANOTHER PLATE(NOT TOO SOAKED-MAKE ROOM FOR AIR) UNDERNEATH I PLACED A HEATING PAD UNDER THE PLATE, FOR 24 HRS, TIIL THEY POP AND ROOT TAIL IS QUARTER TO HALF AN INCH FROM THERE I PLACED THEM IN PRE-SOAKED JIFFY PELLETS, AND PLACED THEM IN A GERMINATION KIT/WITH LID DOME. I DEFINETLY MESSED UP BY KEEPING THEM TOO MOIST. AND HAD TO TREAT THEM WITH A HYDROGEN PEROXIDE(3%)DELUTED WITH WATER, UNDER AND TOPPED. THEY ARE 10 DAYS NOW, I BEEN TRYNA HARDEN THEM OFF, PLAN ON TRASNFERING THEM TO THE SYSTEM. WISH ME LUCK

Well its another update from down under.. and things are getting better with the Caramelo. She got badly burnt from my mistake of using too strong lime sulfur spray to treat spider mites and mold issues before they could take hold. And its kinda worked. lols...the mites are still there but reduced alot in number but I was almost ready to chop her after I saw how badly burnt all her new shoots were. But Im glad I decided to wait a bit as she has recovered faster than expected and while im sure she still has issue at the root level from the rain drenching her for near on a week- she basically stunted after that and never showed much stretch at all when switching to flower-she grew maybe 15cms in height total after that so Im assuming some kind of root rot has her and any harvest will be a bonus. In saying that Im still not going to be suprised if she suddenly dies or gets badly infected with bud rot out of the blue as Im nursing her hard just to get her to this stage and in my experience a nursed plant may produce a yield but it will be weaker than its meant to be and reduced by around 50% of the yield you should have got. if she was indoor id have ripped her out after the sighs she was stunted presented and started over with a new plant. But out doors I dont have that luxury so I will nurse her thru and hope for the best but expect less than average results. Zkittles though is loving life and just LOOK at her!! When you realize she was the same size as the Caramelo when the rain hit and now look at the difference- thats why i say when you see obvious signs of stunting-rip the plant if you can and start over, it may recover but if it was serious then the plant will never show its true potential and you may think those genetics are shit. Ive never grown the Caramelo before now so if i judge it on this result I will say the genetics are shit when the plant likely had root rot from 3 weeks before even switching to flower. And the BC buds hash plant is FINALLY flowering too now. For a 90% indica it sure is taking the longest to flower. I wonder if its the old school genetics at play here-This strain been around since the 70's while the ZkittleZ is a modern hybrid so maybe the newer genetics really are all they are cracked up to be. Thats why I love doing side by side grows out doors with diff genetics and see what they can really do. You should see my mates BC hashys- lmao, he said he wanted bigger plants than last year as he got "bonsai" plants from someone else. Now he has to tie down trees that are growing over his 6ft fence!! And they only just went into flower last week. But on that note- Will update more now as things progress towards harvest. Lot of leaves taking forever to trim

2/1: Woke up to some white splotches on Amnesia 3, which I thought were drops of humidity-water which contains a lot of white junk (ultrasonic humidifiers), but after slowing down and watching the overnight timelapse footage, I think it may be powdery mold. I was able to wipe it off with a soft, damp toothbrush earlier, but now I'm probably going to need to snag some neem oil. There are also some lightening of spots on Trainwreck, however no white splotches yet. I'm really hoping this isn't caused by powdery mold on one plant causing leaf septoria in another. Either way, neem oil should clear this up while still early in the grow stages. Lights are at 60% and are about 15-16 inches above the tops of the plants. I've purchased some General Organics Calmag solution and some neem oil spray. I applied the neem oil to any white spots on Amnesia 3 with a Q-tip. I coated one of the two discolored leaves on Trainwreck with neem oil lightly spread with a Q-tip, as to not allow bubbles to form and cause a magnifying glass effect from the lights onto the leaves. I mixed up a gallon of water with a tsp of calmag, and then heavily pH-upped it to about 6. I carefully watered about a cup of water around Trainwrecks stem. If the neem oil works, one leaf will be fixed; if the calmag works, both leaves should be fixed...at least that's the goal. 2/2: So the concensus of others on the lower leaves of Trainwreck are light burn from water on the leaves, though I'm not too sure. The outside edge of one leaf is starting to brown, which makes me wonder if it laying on the soil could be causing a nutrient burn. I've decided to throw a few toothpicks under those two leaves to help keep them off the soil, in hopes that the browning won't continue to grow. The neem oil that I dabbed onto Amnesia 3 has lightened a few spots, but overall she looks good. 2/3: Looking good. Raised the light on Trainwreck by an inch or so, to hopefully get a little stretch. 2/4: So far so good, growing fast! I used a little bit of calmag water on trainwreck to see if I could resolve the yellowing, otherwise they have not been watered yet since transplant. Probably will water here soon within the next couple of days.
