Week 6 Veg Report – Runtz We Meet Again! Another week, another step forward in our Eternity Grow Cup 2025 journey, and oh boy, do we have a lot to unpack! These Runtz girls are showing their potential, and we’re dialing in every little detail to ensure they thrive. Let’s dive deep into everything that happened this week! Cal-Mag Deficiency Adjustment – Pheno #5’s Special Needs This week started with a close inspection of our phenos, and we noticed that Pheno #5 was showing early signs of a calcium/magnesium deficiency. Whether it was slightly off VPD levels or this particular plant being more demanding, we decided to correct it by increasing the dose of RO Water Conditioner. Now, while this isn’t a direct substitute for Cal-Mag, it does contain trace amounts that can help stabilize the situation. 🔬 Understanding Cal-Mag Deficiency: Calcium and magnesium are essential secondary nutrients. Calcium strengthens cell walls, preventing issues like tip burn and weak stems, while magnesium plays a critical role in chlorophyll production, allowing plants to efficiently absorb light energy. 💡 Signs of Deficiency: • Yellowing between veins (Magnesium) • Rust spots on leaves (Calcium) • Slow growth and weak stems ⚡ How We Address It: • Slightly increasing RO Water Conditioner to see if trace minerals help • Keeping an eye on overall nutrient uptake to ensure no lockout • Monitoring VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) closely to optimize nutrient absorption Let’s see how she reacts next week! Branching Development – Pheno #2 Leading the Race All five phenos are thriving, but Pheno #2 is showing the most aggressive branching, pushing outward faster than her sisters. However, overall, we’re seeing very uniform growth, which speaks volumes about the stability of these genetics. 🌱 What is Branching & Why It Matters? Branching is the plant’s way of expanding its canopy, increasing surface area for photosynthesis, and maximizing potential bud sites. Well-structured branches allow better airflow, light penetration, and more even growth—key for a successful high-yield harvest. ⚖️ Topping vs. Leaf Bending – The Training Choice Instead of topping, I’ve decided to go with leaf bending for now. This method allows for gentle manipulation of the plant’s growth without causing major stress. Once we introduce the SCROG (Screen of Green) net, this training will help maximize the canopy spread. Que pasa familia, traemos nuevo diario, en primer lugar dar las gracias a Nara hydro que sin ellos esto no es posible. Os enseño la primera semana de esta farm cheese de genofarm, una semilla con más de 3 años de conservación, tuvo un germinado en 48 horas sin problemas aparentes. La introducimos a 0,5 cms en medio del sustrato, una maceta pequeña unas semanas mientras Coje fuerza. First ever harvest! Plant #2 has been covered in trichomes for the last two weeks and with a jeweler's magnifying glass and my camera phone zooming 7x it's clear that many of trichomes have turned amber. I chopped her down last night and have been hanging the branches upside down in a cardboard box with a fan and dehumidifier. I've read I should keep the temperature in the 70s F and the humidity around 50%. I'm doing my best but the garage isn't well insulated so I'm at the mercy of the weather. I'll keep an eye on them and when the branches snap easily I'll get them in jars for curing. Plant #1 still has some time to go. The branches are filling out but to the naked eye there are no trichomes. When I look with the magnifying glass I can see them but I'm concerned that #2 had been coated in them for about two weeks now. Should I just wait? I think I'll just wait

Flowering day 19 since the time change to 12/12. Hey all together 😀. This week she has developed beautifully ☺️. I poured it 3 times with 1.2 l this week. Tomorrow I will add the 2 g GHSC Powder Feeding Bio Bloom because the first blossoms are coming :-). I checked all the leaves thoroughly for pests or diseases and everything is fine ☺️. Next week I'll look at your roots as soon as the coconut is completely rooted. As every week, the tent was cleaned and the entire technology checked. The humidifier was also refilled every day 👍. In the next few days I will remove the bottom shoots so that the energy doesn't end up being wasted in the small popcorn buds. I wish you a lot of fun with the update. 7/2 Last week it was extremely hot (80's-90's) with cold nights. We had a severe thunderstorm last night and it's raining like crazy today. I didn't spend time in the garden as it was pouring. However I defoliated yesterday briefly. I had maybe a half dozen leaves yellow and die a couple days after the organicide application. They were mostly the largest oldest fan leaves most infected with pm. A couple smaller interior leaves yellowed and died as well but they were the leaves most infected. I assume that's normal. As I defoliated I noticed my first aphid of the season. I saw a few dead ones the organicide killed and a couple that were alive. Aphids aren't a big deal. They'll be evicted soon enough. I haven't seen one spot of pm though since the application. Maybe a little on a dead leaf but it seems to be working good. Didn't take pictures today but needed one to update the diary. Trying to upload videos but they take forever. 7/3 Ridiculously hot all last week. Extremely hot yesterday then a severe thunderstorm but it cleared to 90 degrees with 90%rh. This environment is a fungal nirvana. Still a slight smell from the organicide. I'm glad I used it though. I threw away some more leaves but this is the time that starts happening anyway. Before the stretch. With the ideal conditions I saw WPM rear it's head again. Only this time the organicide seemed to still have a residue. The PM only infected the super old biggest fan leaves and a few tiny tiny leaves on the very interior of the plant. I didn't know I had aphids but I've found a few dead on the underside of leaves I defoliated. So it seems to be working. My plants are growing towards the sun (partially due to my tarps which I need to be legal) which make airflow harder to maintain. My dad gave away my pallets this year. I had planned to put bags and supports on pallets with some sort of wheel so I could spin them. Oh well I'll do that next year in my new location. I have also found moth holes in couple leaves so BT it will still be needed. If videos didn't take so long to upload I would have a bunch. Happy growing. 7/5 Watered lightly (as it had been 90's) before feeding three gallons to the garden. Noticed some telltale leafhopper signs on a 9lb kush. The organicide seems to be doing a decent job of keeping PM at bay. The blueberry is now the worst it seems. I'm planning on another application before I try anything heavier. The fishy smell is now totally gone. Plants seem healthy and are a nice dark green. I have had some problems that have effected my ability to fully care for my girls. I have some defoliation I need to do. I also see moths sometimes in the morning plus the pm and the random munch. I guess that's to be expected outside but I need to get on top of this shit. I also have more LST I could be doing. 7/6 Rained all night and still off and on. Can't see any pm but I've found a few spots on the blueberry that could be septoria. I'm going to hit them either tonight or tomorrow with the organicide and if it doesn't work I may try a sulfer based fungacide. Took a few pictures. I need to defoliate as well. 7/7 Uploaded some duplicate pics accidentally. If I could've created the perfect environment for fungal infections I don't think I could've done better than yesterday. Hence the organicide. I was surprised it wasn't pronounced and only a little here and there. Also saw leaf hopper and pillar damage so hopefully this will straighten that out. Blueberry seems weak in it's stalk. I'm not sure if the wind is blowing it against that hard metal circle around it. It may have septoria. If it does I'll have to switch to something different or junk the plant. 7/8 This sucks. I can see signs of leaf septoria on the GDPs. This is definitely not a strain for the Maine climate. It's not resilient enough against diseases. This year has been particularly bad with 40 degree temp swings and rain then bright hot sun. I couldn't engineer better conditions. I appears senescence starts at the same time looking back over the past four years. However maybe that's just the life cycle of the earwigs. Oh yeah. I raked the inside of the grow bag with my hand and AT LEAST a half dozen earwigs came out RIGHT FROM THE SOIL IN THE BAG. I dealt with these prehistoric bastards last year and lost half my harvest. They eat other insects but the spread disease like crazy and they DO eat your plant while leaving behind the worst bacteria and plant disease. I have research to do. Like I said. This sucks. I'm changing locations next year but I need some help dealing with the septoria and the earwigs or I'll be fucked again. I defoliated anything that looked suspect. Still need to improve airflow.

Preloading stuff they'll need soon. 4/3: Flipped to 12/12 today and started UVB stressing with 2 x 30-minute sessions a day. 4/4: Fed today and foliar fed with Axiom harpin proteins and boom boom spray. 4/7: Fed today..started adding a little Open Sesame and Signal to the mix along with sweet & sticky, One, silica, and calmag.

They are starting to bloom as of two days ago they started to see little pistols, and the other plants are starting to stretch… I have only added a very little bit of nutrients

my dry and cure style is this: 4 days of hanging upside down to get water activity lower to around 0.6 in 50% humidity and 26 C temp (i know its a little high but we are in a hot summer right now and i cant get it lower even with air conditioner) and then after 4 days of drying i remove leaves and stalks, trim buds and move them to jar for the rest of their life :D . and in the first 4 days of curing i open the jar door and let hem get some fresh air in the jar for about 5 minutes and close the jar door again, after 4 days of curing like that buds are smokable but they will get better as they getting cured about 1 month. buds are one of the hardest as fucking rocks type of buds! very dense , compact , sticky , smelly , amazing at every aspect growing stage was 56 days and flowering stage was 75 days total (harvested tops at day 64th) the total weight of dry buds was : (plant #1 & #3 top buds 56 G + lower buds 22 G ) 78 G + (plant #2 top buds 47 G + lower buds 18 G ) 55 G + (plant #4 top buds 120 G + lower buds 67 G ) 187 G = 367 G

Plants are in dry pode since 8 days Now. I decide to stop flowering besause a few yellow bananas start showing up. That was time. By the way, I taste the fresh weed before making my decision and… damned, it’s a great one !!!!! 😁😁😁😳😳😳😎😎😎

Week 9...I have 2 other plants growing in the tent with these 2 plants and they aren't autos so I had to switch the lighting schedule over to 12/12 for those plants...I haven't seen any affects of the light change for these 2 plants...They smell great I am hoping they will be ready to go in about 3 weeks!

Hoy comienzo con el ciclo de luz de floración 12/12. Las plantas se han desarrollado muy bien hasta ahora, sin mostrar problemas, signos de plagas, ni enfermedades. Estoy evaluando si instalar una red de soporte (Scrog) o no. Personalmente, no lo considero imprescindible, pero he leído que ayuda a sostener las punteras a medida que crecen y evita que las ramas se caigan o se rompan. Sin embargo, dado que las plantas han crecido bien hasta ahora, no estoy seguro si será necesario. Más allá de eso, estoy muy emocionado por comenzar la floración y ver cuánto durará, ya que puede variar entre 8 y 12 semanas. Today I’m starting the 12/12 flowering light cycle. The plants have been developing very well so far, showing no issues, signs of pests, or diseases. I’m considering whether or not to install a scrog net. Personally, I don’t think it’s essential, but I’ve read that it helps support the colas as they grow and prevents branches from falling or breaking. However, since the plants have grown well so far, I’m not sure if it will be necessary. That said, I’m really excited to start flowering and see how long it lasts, as it can vary between 8 to 12 weeks.
