Soooooo... I think I really fucked up haha. It's week 6 and they are huge... I didn't anticipate the stretch well and now I'm panicking. Any advice would be great because aside from getting an extra 8 inches from mounting all the way to the ceiling I'm at a loss. They are doing well aside from that though. a lot of dark spots where I could have trained better are just becoming more prevalent and I'm really seeing where I should have filled gaps and trained for a better light footprint. Adding top shooter for the first time at half strength this week, hoping to see results like the canna pk boost in the personal grow which is doing great. Oh and guess whos dumb pump started working for no reason after I got the replacement in the mail lol smh.

The week ends Sunday Mar-1, being day 61 - week 8 of flowering since flipping the lights. From first pistils shown, it's day 45 which is a more accurate snapshot of where the plants actually are in their maturity. Started the ripening feed phase for the plant. No other nutrients or supplements added (other than enzyme). Lots of orange hairs covering the top buds and buds lower are beginning to also ripen. Trichomes are cloudy now across the canopy with a few amber. Will be monitored for any changes to initiate flushing for 2 days prior to harvesting the tops. Not much change in the buds development on the plant. The CBD has dense nugget style buds with some swelling starting. Light is maintained at 30cm above the canopy, with single daily fertigation at lights on - watering 3L per day. Fertigation pH target is 5.9-6.2 whilst flowering. Stopped the practice of fertigating at lights off due to the other pot developing a springtales infestation. Need to allow at least 2-4hrs of lights on period after fertigation. The coco is not dry but still damp on the surface after 24hrs from fertigation. Seems the plant is slowing down the amount of water intake which is expected at this stage. Just been defoliating as they start there flower stretch. Lights at 75% and 50 cm above the canopy.

These things move fast! Donkey dicks are in full force. Development is weeks ahead of every other strain. What a thing to watch. Lots of trichomes piling on. All three phenos are getting big quick! I'm very excited. Smells super sweet. Very candy like. Fucking yummy. I reduced the nitrogen dose again. I also stopped giving them vigorous. 08/30 - DAY 36 - Top watered w/ beneficial bacteria and refilled Jane’s reservoir. - Lowered humidity to ~63% 09/01 - DAY 38 - Refilled Mo. Drinking a gallon a day from the reservoir. Mushrooms growing in Mo’s EarthBox. 09/03 - DAY 40 - Another big defoliation on Jane. - Bent over a few over achieving colas on Mo. At canopy roughly ~500PPFD. 09/04 - DAY 41 - Girls are super happy. Trichomes coming in everywhere on Mo and slowly coming in Jane.

We are starting to get the nitrogen issue handled. She was almost white! lol now all new growth is a healthy green, just in time to stop, and start giving her Phos. She just ate every drop of nutrients out of her soil during stretch. I think the white spots on some of the leaves are light bleaching so we went ahead and raised the lights another 12" to 36" total now. We also noticed it looks like her roots receded back into the soil some? Does that make sense? This chocolope took to the LST well. The buds have swelled to massive proportions, I am more than impressed with my first dedicated photo grow. I am definitely a dna genetics fan for good!

Day 31 - 38 (Day 32) I’m going to lower the humidity in the room to 55-60. Still no bananas but I’m still quite worried about #3 fully popping and ruining my whole crop. Since there is a good chance it’s going to herm, I’m going to give it with a small feeding today and watch it like a hawk this week. I think the boost actually made a decent difference in #5 from last week. I’m seeing slightly fatter main colas but that could just be from less topping/smaller plant or less nitrogen. I’ve decided to push my luck and give a boost to each plant. These things just aren’t filling out like they should. They look like they are on day 23 not 33. I’m going to top dress 3 tablespoons of 1-4-2 Destiny launch and later tonight I’m going to water in a low strength feeding of 0-0-15 kelp extract. I’m going to give a final heaping tablespoon of nature’s pride bloom to #5 so it can stretch to the end. I’m also going to lower the lights by a few inches. The tallest cola is now about 13 inches away and the rest of the canopy is at about 18–24. If I see signs of light stress I’ll raise it back up but I’m sure it could use the extra light on the lowers. (Day 33) I’ve been reading that bigger plants just take longer to mature and that’s probably why my plant hasn’t fully filled out or is about a week behind. I still could have done a better job defoliating some of the smaller larf branches on the bottom which just robs the good branches of energy. The more I think about it, the more I think I did a very poor job of defoliating the middle canopy. I’m still seeing lots of larf and small buds on the inside not getting much light. I’m still really worried about herms after finding that branch so I don’t want to stress them anymore. Removing suckers now is pointless. I missed my window of opportunity and now I have to deal with it. I’m going to slide an old DVD player underneath #6 to bring it up to canopy level. It’s lower buds are definitely not getting enough light. (Day 34) Ever since lowering the light, the canopy has gotten a few degrees warmer. I’ve noticed the buds don’t feel as sticky on top compared to the lower tucked branches that feel almost wet with resin. Outdoor weed grown in my climate will never reach the temperature where it degrades resin luckily. (Day 36) The buds are definitely swelling but not to the degree I want. Call me picky but I prefer my nugs as chunky as possible. I’m seeing lots of pistils but not much nug matter. Ive heard too many pistils can be caused by the overuse of alfalfa, kelp and seaweed extracts because of the natural PGR’s in them. I’m definitely going to reduce the amount of that stuff I use next round. I hope I’m just wrong and this tent is going to really fatten up this week but I have my doubts. (Day 37) A purple fade is starting on the underside of every plant except the bush who still is super dark green still. Last watering I got a nice amount of runoff so I’m just going to leave her until the end. I’m seeing a bit of yellowing on #5. I’m going to give it one final full strength feeding plus some rock dust and oyster shell tomorrow and that’s a wrap for nutrients. I might as well hit everything else with a final low strength 0-0-15 too. (Day 38) I’m amazed at how much this stuff smells compared to my last round. It smells very earthy and floral with a hint of pine. Definitely not that gassy smelling pine but more of a sweet pine.

Just a little LST every day and the canopy is nice and even with plenty of future bud sites.

Flipped to flowering on these girls as the screens are now almost full across the 4x8 tent and we will still need to train them along the screens for the next 2-3 weeks. So working for a packed tent this time hopefully. Plants have been exploding in growth daily. Water was changed out and new water added with 3/4 Remo Flowering lineup and UC Roots at full strength. Smell is starting to get noticeable when you open the tent and is very pleasant.

Hi guys, At the end of the story, I am very happy with the whole cycle and finally the outcome, I almost killed everything in there 😂 The Black D.O.G is a great Indica dominant strain, with a short flowering period. I did have problems throughout the cycle overfertilizing the plant, even though, this strain in particular is the one that recovered better and gave me a precious final product. Iinfact, I kept almost all the flowers, just the super baby pop-corn went for bubble hash. I topped them, and then practiced LST training to help them growing wider. Probably if I wouldnt have messed up with the ferilizer I would have a much better final product, this time, talking about quantity and quality. The whole plants were dried for 18 days after which they were finished in jars for another 6 weeks, if I dont fell sooner. Really looking forward to grow this strain again Indoor, I'am amazed by the terpene profile and the amount of resin they produced, even under my terribles mistake! STRONG GENETIC! Thanks to everyone who stopped by and looked at the diary, squeezed the like button or comment the diary. 13/12 I'VE MADE MY FIRST RUN OF BUBBLE HASH! Very very happy with the end result, did not weight anything yet because is still wet big time, I lightly squeezed it a bit, before let it drying on parchment on a cardboard. The smell it's just absolutely crazy. I can smell strong citrus notes in the 120µm but the 90µm and 73µm explodes with crazy-sweet note. While the 25µm (did not use the 43µm) where I did collect most of the hash, smell like good and sweet hash, nothing crazy like the previous ones but a very buttery like consistency that makes me want to eat it like this...dont ask me why...even though I know you all probably felt this way too... Anyway, the paper sheet says it all about timing, washes and µm used for the extractions, but just in case I'll explain it down here. I have done 3 wash with different timing. 1º wash: 5 min only to get the most brittle trichome heads 2º wash: 10 min stardard 3º wash: 30 min to stock up a bit 😅 I could have done an extra wash for sure and get more out, but I was running out of time so...I will update with the dry weight, it was not the only wash I've done, that were just too many grades to weight up..so I chose to do it once all dry! Endlich geerntet. Trotz einiger Mängel sind die Buds doch sehr schön fest und klebrig geworden. 90g Nass, wet trim und in Dryferm Bags verpackt. Nach ca 5 Tagen, werde ich mir die schönsten Buds heraussuchen und weiter im Dryferm Bag bis zum Curing weitertrocknen lassen. Der Rest fällt dann leider dem CanG zum Opfer und wird im Misthaufen entsorgt.
