End of course for this Persian Prince project! Unfortunately, he failed to cut short this flowering a few days in advance following the start of a pest attack. Our two beautiful ones would have certainly enjoyed crunching life with full roots for another week, but prudence forced us to cut a little prematurely. Never mind, our flowers have dried for 10 days and are now ready to begin their maturing period in a jar. Despite these conditions, which are very well known to them, our Persian Princes still present impressive characters: the buds are huge, covered with a thick layer of trichomes and very fragrant. In terms of flavors, cheesy dominates 🧀 the two phenos smell strongly of semi-roller/Emmental style hard cheese, definitely the dominant aroma, for one of our two plants it is the only aroma that I am capable of to raise. The other phenotype is more complex, on the salty-cheesy smell a fresher and tangy/lemony smell is superimposed, very pleasant and different from its sister and at the same time linked to it by its common dominant cheesy aroma. This is day 61 and everything is still on track. I’m really impressed with the swell of the buds the last week n half the bestie bloomz really seemed to do the trick. Switched to cha Ching this weekend. Lots of pistols browning and curling but buds keep shooting new ones and thickening up daily. All the trichs are still really clear so still a few weeks out I’d say. But keeping a close eye on them. Not really doing anymore lst or defoliation at this point I am going to have to tie up the OG kush tops tho the buds are just getting to heavy 😊😊. The smells are off the chart! The bubblegum smells so sweet and fruity the og has that nice bitter gas smell and the jack here smells well kinda like licorice it’s an interesting but good smell! Hi all . Here we go again on some Fast buds auto genetics from one of the markets go to for autos. Having been a long term grower of fast buds and some of their tester fast flowering photoperiods too , I expect great things .lol My choices of strain came from hours of deliberating and looking through their extensive auto range. so tempting to hit the "classic" series and go with what I know but being ever curious , that was soon surpassed by some new kids on the block and here we have it. Their rise to the surface was only 3 days total for husks off and opening coty leaves. Now a week on from seeding , they are ready to get busy. They all look as they should and are at present in subdued lighting to get them rooted first. I will be moving them under their own light soon but want them to get comfortable in the soil mix first too. So day 1 is under way and we are in for some beautiful buds no doubt. December 29 day 15, growth is fine, I will likely top the plant later in the week. Roots are developed enough to remove humidity dome, although I am still running a humidifier. December 30, day 16, topped the Malasana cookies and removed growth at the first node. I am not mainlining as I don't think it would give me an even canopy across the 8sqft growing area this plant will take up. The topping won't give the same symmetry, but with a bit of training I will end up with an even, wide canopy. I removed the branches from the first node as I would have to end up removing a lot of that growth. In my experience those first branches never fill in as much anyways. December 31 day 17, recovery from topping going well. Put the humidity dome back on to keep the VPD at around .8kPa. January 2 day 19, despite the large pot causing a bit of overwatering leaf droop the Malasana cookies continues to recover well. I am done with the humidity dome after waffling back and forth quite a bit. I posted an image in more natural light to so that the leaves are a healthy green. Just that edge curling that will work itself out when the plant grows into its big container. January 4 day 21, growth is taking off as it should at this age. Its still going to be a long veg to get an 8sqft flowering size. Recovery from the topping is good, and new leaves are healthier with less clawing. I applied LST with plant ties to get growth to head toward my plant training frame (atlas plant trainer).
