Week 9

Hey now, I hope everyone is having a great weekend, it was a good week for the ladies in the 5X5, they are all starting to stack flowers and really starting to distinguish their own smells. The Bubble Runtz has the most indica dominant looking colas and smells absolutely amazing. The Sundae Driver is looking like she is gonna have the fattest colas and be the biggest producer. I am really hoping I get the red phenotype of the Red Hot Cookies, and both the Green Crack and Durban Nights are showing the most Sativa characteristics and looking great. I now have the Medic Grow Light cranked up to 100% in F1 mode and am also using the UV/IR for 30 minutes per day prior to lights out. I am running a 12/12 cycle and feeding the same mix of GH nutrients which include Silica, CalMag, MaxiBloom, and Bloom Booster, with additional food grade Hydrogen Peroxide in the reservoir to keep algea growth to a minimum. I mix one 5 gallon bucket of nutes per day and clean my reservoir once per week. My pump is set to auto feed the plants every 5 hours after lights on, and I have a gravity self draining runoff setup I built. Not much to do from here on out, just keep the reservoir clean and full, a little defoliation, and 5 minutes per day to mix a bucket of nutes.I hope they get fat in the next few weeks and then I have about 7 people lined up to help me trim, I will throw everyone two zips for the help. hoping to do the wet trim in a day. These plants are growing really strong despite the minor bug problem which I refuse to address...hopefully they just go away. I replaced the last seedling 🌱 with new seed as the bugs totaled the last plant.

Flawless Finish

This was my first ever serious grow ever. About 12 years ago I grew in a little PC grow case but I picked it early and didn't dry and cure it right. Tasted like hay, ha! So for my first ever legit grow, I was super happy with these genetics. On the whole they were relatively easy to grow. There were never any bud rot, PM, disease or insect issues at all. I had two distinct phenotypes from these 2 seeds. One was the normal green pheno. It grew extremely easy and showed no deficiencies whatsoever the entire grow. The nugs it produced have a very funky smell to them. Lots of orange and green on those ones. My cell phone pics I attached were desaturated from my cell phone. I'll take better pics of it after it's done curing. The purple pheno on the other hand was a little more temperamental. Right after germination it kinda of twisted a little. I nearly cut it at one point because I didn't have enough experience to know if it would make it. Thankfully I didn't cut it! It had what appeared to be a calmag deficiency the entire grow despite the green pheno doing perfect with the exact same parameters/nutrients/water. In the end though, I think the environmental stress the plant had throughout the grow was possibly what caused the purple pheno to come out and maybe was also the reason there were soooo many crystals! They smell very floraly, spicy and perfumey kinda. And they are SOOOOOO beautiful. They smell incredible too. Green pheno yielded 41g. Purple yielded 37g for a total of 2.75 ounces dried. I dried the green plant for 12 days and the purple plant for 16 days. Whole plant dry. Average conditions were 62 degrees, 58% over the dry. My basement is great for drying due to the year round low 60 degree temps in there. Gonna cure them for a couple weeks to see just how much more sophisticated the smells develop. I will upload some more high quality, non cell phone pics after these are done curing. So I can only compare these genetics to nothing as it's my first grow but I was extremely happy with these. For my next grow starting tonight or tomorrow I'm gonna focus on more training, better nutrient feed and a slightly longer veg time so that I can really up the yields for that harvest. I'd like to get 8 or more ounces. We shall see!

Auto Maxi Gom is growing really well. She is looking healthy. She should start the transition to flowering very soon. Everything is looking great at the moment. Ph is stable, and she is getting trained regularly. Hi Everybody, the plant is developing super nice and is getting really thirsty. My tank has 50 litres and after 6 days I had to change the solution as only 10l were left and I started to see tiny sings of tip burn. Meaning she is consuming somewhere around 6.6l a day minus evaporation. The lower canopy was cleared out quite a bit and then a second S.C.R.O.G. net was installed to spread the canopy a little further. She stretched quite a bit since I flipped her withe main colas starting to tower on the sides.

Harvest time has come. It was an excellent cycle without any problems, in fact the plants were doing great and produced some beautiful buds. Now I will dry for 2 weeks plus cure for 1 month.

In week 10 all remaining plants developed well, they have a healthy green color and grow copious amounts of new flowers every day. The trichome production has been going strong as well, therefore the plants start to smell stronger than before. The BLUE-MINT plant from Mountain High Seeds is going strong... she grows so many trichomes it has started to build so called RESIN RAILS on the fan-leaves...so AWESOME to see! 😍 The tallest plant is the Strawberry Sour-Diesel from OriginalDevilHarvest-Seeds. Even after being supper-cropped she grows taller every day! She also developes FAT and DANK buds on all branches with a HUGE AMOUNT of trichomes. The smell of this plant is VERY LEMONY, its so fruity and mouthwatering, I cant wait for her to be finished. The Serious Happiness from Serious Seeds does well, she also has big buds with lots of trichomes. The SNEEZE from Cnnbs.nl and Seedstockers is doing GREAT! She has a tremendous amount of trichomes on her buds, and has fat colas on all sidebranches. The nutrients from BIO NOVA work VERY WELL...all plants are doing GREAT. At this stage of flowering the SANlight EVO4-120 LEDs are dimmed to 100% and hang at 30 cm distance of the top of the plants. My genetic treasures LOVE the intensity and spectrum of those LEDs as you can see in the pics. Unfortunately I spot some traces on my leaves and discover some THRIPS on the backside of my fan-leaves. This insects eat away on the plant-sap and can decrease your harvest, if the infestation gets too much. Therefore I immediately order some bags with predator insects against THRPS from KOPPERT and hang them on each plant. These predators are the natural enemies and will eat the THRIPS from my plants.

Day 65. Heavy training in progress ... All done, hopefully not many natural protectors lost, took about 30 liters bag full off leaves and shoots, could do like 100 clones easy ;))) All girls lolitoped, cleared, defoliated, rewired, some had supercroping. Skunks were happy when last Cheese was done, so i think/hope - all will go smooth. This time i really cleared them a lot, maybe the most in my career ... Cheeses performed thicker and more stacked branches . Fun is starting !!! Day 66. Got my last puzzle of protection against thrips. I think i beat them already, yesterday haven't noticed any thrips on leaves, but i am old and blind ;))) They where ordered a week ago, so just in case ... Girls look just fabulous !!! I think it will be very nice harvest by bag appeal, hopefully weight will make me smile too ;)))) I still think to strip them hard at the end of week 5 or week 6 if they will delay in progress .... At the moment they are just perfect ! Day 69. Here comes my moan ;)) Stretch was not so big as i expected, looks like 80 is more real target than 100. They look very nice and healthy and i beaten thrips , but this time i cleared too much i feel ;))))) Future will show ... Happy Growing !!!

Le 42e jour ce passe très bien. Les plantes sont au milieu de la prefloraison et ne vont pas tarder à arrêter leurs croissance pour se concentrer sur les bourgeons ainsi j'adapte l'alimentation au circonstances. J'ai rattrapé l'erreur de pH même si cela reste précaire les plantes se portent dans l'ensemble très bien 🌱🙏

Everything after germination has been pretty smooth. The plants in veg had a couple small brown spots due to under watering but no extreme signs or any abnormalities.

Ok, so it's slowly getting thicker and frostier. At week seven my girl could be ready in anywhere from two weeks to four weeks more. The light was dropped closer to the top of the canopy. I decided to try 15 cm of distance, as well four 50W LEDs are not as powerful as the 600W HID or LED panels that are usually used in grow tents. I will of course keep an eye for signs of light and heat stress, but I suspect that won't be a problem. Update Day 89. Today I decided to turn the plant around to see the back colas and their growth. Then I found some mites under the leaves after examining weird spots in a couple of leaves. It seems to me that there was not enough airflow to deter the mites from making home in the back leaves, when compared to the front leaves of my plant. Lesson learnt, rotate plant often, ensure good and even airflow. I didn't find any webs beside a really small one seen on the video (most affected leaf). So, I think I found them mites early. I only found this kind of damage on very few leaves, and each leave contained less than 8 mites (at least that I could see) and a couple of eggs. So it seems that paying close attention to my leaves saved me from an out of control infestation. Anyhow... I removed all of the leaves that had even a single mite, or a single mark of discoloration. Also, I disinfected the grow tent, top of soil and lower part of the branches by spraying them with a 1/4 tbsp of bleach per liter of water. After that was completely dry, I mixed one part rubbing alcohol with 9 parts water and misted both sides of the leaves and even the buds directly (ethanol evaporates easily, so there shouldn't be residues left after it dries completely). Prevention is key, and some aspects I could've considered before are: 1. not grow any other plant next to my cannabis 2. Don't come into my indoor growtent after tending my outdoor plants. 3. Ensure even and plenty airflow. So, I attacked back strongly. I cut more leaves than those that showed damage, to increase airflow. I will be on the watch for pests and will rotate my plant often, as well as spraying a few times every week, just to make sure they don't come back. I also am going to build a kind of metal wire cage to separate the colas further and make it harder for any pest to spread. Its only my second grow, but from what I've read online about mites, it's way more costly (time and money) to deal with an infestation than to strike them hard early. I guess that specially now that I noticed them before they even made webs. Look closely at your girls growbros ! Update day 90. So this morning I. Becker the trichomes and they seem to have gotten more cloudy. I am not an expert at that, but they are starting to be fewer clear and more milky. I will keep an eye on them, but it think harvest might be here very soon, probably closer to the 9 week mark than to the 12 week one (I'm about to finish the 7th week)...

Gepflegt hat Sie jemand, der selbst noch nie Cannabis angebaut hat. Die Hilfe weiß ich sehr zu Schätzen und bin mehr als nur dankbar! Es konnte hierzu alles nur telefonisch besprochen werden und aus der Ferne gehandelt. Wachstum Auffallend Hoch, sehr Sativa lastig. Obwohl alle stets die gleich Nahrung erhalten haben, scheint sie etwas Empfindlicher. Das Düngen bei Ihr wurde erst einmal zurückgeschraubt. Leider verarbeitet sie das Wasser momentan nicht so gut. Daher wurde hier die Gießmenge nach unten geschraubt da auch das Wetter arg schlechter wurde. Der stetige Regen zur Zeit, unterstütz mein Vorhaben nicht.
