FBA2502 Plants 1-6 Week 7 May 11– 17 FLOWER 3 Nutrients : Micro 25 ml Gro 10 ml Bloom 30ml CalMag 30 ml Recharge 10ml Green sensation 16.5ml Power buds 7.5 ml 5/11 PH 6.56, PPM 1560, temp 69 2ltr each 5/12 PH 6.31, PPM 1120, temp 68 1 ltr each 5/14 PH 6.66, PPM 1280, temp 70 1 ltr each 5/15 PH 6.66, PPM 850, temp 72 1 ltr each 5/11 Defoliation, feed, pics & videos I made 4 gallons, used 3 to water then poured the runoff back into the rest in the bucket. The next feeding, I added a gallon of tap water to residual and ph to 6,31 temp 69 & PPm 1120. Did the same on 5/14 and 15 using up the remainder of the feed solution. I must monitor and control the tent environment manually. For the past month, the humidifier has been an issue putting out way too much humidity; often leaving water in the bottom of the tent. In addition, the temperatures are also out of control. I added an AC last week to keep the temperature below 80. I finally determined the exhaust vent is also broken and has been for some time. I have been giving good reviews on the AC infinity system. However, during the time I’ve owned this tent (2 yrs), I had to replace the lights twice, fans, humidifier and now the vent twice also. Everything but the tent containment has been replaced. AC infinity does stand by their products, but they are in California, and it takes at least 2 weeks to receive the replacement. This is extremely frustrating at the critical transition to flower for my equipment to fail again. For the time being until a replacement arrives, I pulled the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3 and hooked it up. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This should create a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. I do have 3 circulating fans in the tent to move air around the plants. It looks like growth spurts have slowed and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All of them (6) are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. The tallest #4 &5 and #6 have very light leaves and appear nutrient deficient compared to the shorter phenotypes. Pictures taken later in the week show fading on a few the older leaves. All are receiving the same solution and are in the same soil blend. Moving the gals in and out of the tent for their glamor shots, I bent one limb and snapped another. The bent one I taped with a splint and the snapped one I medicated manuka honey and wired it back to the main stalk. Leaves look like sativa leaning. I hope FBA2502-2 is a good daytime. I’m getting excited to see what develops in the next month or so. News Break: I’ve been informed that 2502 is FastBuds New Frostbanger and is indica for nighttime. I’m disappointed that I didn’t get a sativa to test because I really need a daytime strain. The 2 Blue Cheese plants I just grew are also nighttime. Upon opening the tent, a faint odor was detected, and some stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. Pictures of the puffy buds even show differences. #4 &5 buds hairs are different from the others being crinklier and the others are straighter. Some like #2 &5 are showing frost on the leaves. Wow at the beginning of flower to have that much frost. They are living up to the new strain’s name. I’ve noticed that when I water, sometimes water shoots out of the side holes I the air pots. Controlamos de todas formas el Ph igual y que no baje por debajo de 6,2. Bestiales estás flores , un olor muy característico con tonalidades cítricas que recuerdan al limón. Todo un clásico en verdad. Estos ejemplares carecen de brazos laterales, son óptimas para un SOG desde semilla, pudiendo llenar 16 plantas en metro cuadrado.

Day 22: 600W LED 20 hours on 4 hours off, the same with ventilation. Humidity around 60-70%. Water intake 50ml per plant per day plus some triggering spray. Bat gunao, Epsom salt, Biobizz BioGrow, BioBloom and TopMax for fertilization. .. I will use these ones 3 x a week and I will use bat gunao every second day. I will see:) Critical Orange Punch is the fastest and biggest and Lemon Zkittle started coming up as well.. Day 24: Critical Orange Punch is crazy she grows so fast she looks like a palm tree now. Sour Orange and Lemon Zkittle is developing very well Sour Stomper remains small. Another Sour Orange is on the way in the corner she is the smallest but she was planted much more later. Day 28: End of the week the tallest is Critical Orange Punch with 22 cm and the shortest is Sour Stomper with 10 cm.

Smells amazing, buds are greesy to the touch…serious genetics from fast buds!

Day 29. Things still ticking along nicely. Saw a few leaves on my Sativa dom Pheno exhibiting Ma deficiency so gave an Epsom Salts foliar while Lights out was happening. Also upgraded my mechanism for holding flood pipes in place. Have the girls on Wooden Risers now to allow the bottom of the pots to fully dry and to allow the smart pots to do their thing. They're all starting to fill out a bit now so hopefully not long until flip!

Flipped ‘em to flower about a week ago. So far to my untrained eyes they’re looking great. I’m watering ever three days and feeding once every other watering. Mixture of fox farms nutrients (disregard amounts in stats above) at like 25-40 percent of full strength. Ppm was 700 and ppfd is 700-800 according to Photone. Disregard the little fella in the solo cup. I never transplanted it and just kept it in there. Now I’m just keeping it as a bonus plant plus to learn leaf symptoms, etc. I’m really excited to guide these through the home stretch! They’re already way bigger than my last, and first, harvest.

I made so many mistakes during this run I can't even believe we made it to this point. The flowers aren't great but they're aight considering. I tested some run off and ppm was 3000+. I was consistently hearing the condensate pumps go off which made me think I was getting run off not realizing it was from the dehumidifier. The pics were taken on Thursday and after 2 days of flushing they look better and have swelled up a little bit. I sprayed dr zymes for the thrips 3 days in a row to try and knock them out. I know spraying in flower is never great but the zymes evaporates and really had no noticeable negative effects on the buds (pistil burning or residue) and I havnt seen a thrip or any damage in a few days. I also got the full line of Marrone bio grandevo, venerate and regalia which ill incorporate into a weekly ipm starting next run. I'm gunna wash the buds at the end. Hopefully all the dumb shit I do this run I can learn from and improve. Day 49 I've dropped the base nutrients and have them on 8 grams per gal of full tilt with some aptus additives and enzymes. The multi strain makes it tricky as a few really need 70-80 days but at this point I just want to wrap it up asap. I'll hand feed the 3 or 4 plants that still need the base probly.

Welcome to Week 1 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Autoflowering grow courtesy of the fine folks at Sweet Seeds! This is the second of three consecutive grows/diaries that I am doing to showcase the tried and tested genetics from this reputable seed breeder. My last grow was a smashing success so I have high hopes for this grow as well. Nothing much to report for Week #1 although I will mention that the first watering was only 0.7 of a litre per plant (0.18 of a litre per plant per day) and the second was 1.4 litres per plant (0.35 of a litre per plant per day). I am watering on my usual schedule of every fourth day as this seems to be the sweet spot throughout past grows. I am using the usual- air bubbled tap water that is PH’d to around 6.0 and if need be (over the winter months in Canada) warmed to 68-70 degrees prior to hand watering with a small watering can. The seedling that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves is fine but still a little smaller than her sisters. So now on to Mom’s tip of the week… Mom’s Tip for Week #1 is- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR- QUALITY IS KEY!… When considering growing Cannabis, even on a small scale, quality is an important factor in all aspects from the seeds to set up to the supplies used throughout the grow. Starting with seeds from a established breeder will raise the odds considerably in your favour for a successful outcome. Many seed companies are more than willing to ship out freebies while building up their brands which seems attractive to new growers- but use at your own risk! There’s nothing worse than being halfway through a grow and discovering male flowers tucked in amongst the lowest branches or realizing that your beautiful buds have been mysteriously pollinated just weeks before harvest. I know that seeds from a reputable seed breeder are usually more expensive and can be hard to access in certain parts of the world. But purchasing quality seeds from a reputable seed company is the first step towards homegrown Cannabis success. An area that new growers often overlook due to the high price is the quality of crucial components in their set up- including tent, lights, and intake/exhaust fans. Anyone can get away with cheaper pots, oscillating corner fans, water pumps for dechlorination, etc but it’s worth every penny investing into the workhorses of your entire operation. An initial investment of around two thousand dollars will provide serious growers with the longevity and hassle free basics needed. If done right, quality components will pay for themselves within the first 6-12 months of use and continue to serve your needs for 3-5 years to come. Supplies used throughout the grow are the final area where quality is important but somewhat subjective too. Although I’ve already stated that I don’t feel the need to spend big dollars on all the extras (pots, oscillating fans, water pumps for dechlorination, PH/moisture meters, etc- I do believe in doing my homework to make sure that I’m getting the best bang for my buck. I thoroughly research every item purchased and used in my grows by reading customer reviews, speaking with other growers and sometimes even trial and error at my own expense. Making quality an important factor in all aspects of Cannabis cultivation will benefit you, your grows and the planet we live on. 🌳🌎🌳
