3 dny po posledním tréninku (53 dní od vyklíčení) jsem změnil světelný cyklus na 12/12. Nastavil jsem SCROG síť do finální výšky a nyní zbývá jen čekat až holky vyrostou 🤩 snad se mi podaří vytvořit rovnoměrný baldachýn. Blumat zavlažování funguje skvěle a rostliny jsou s ním velmi spokojené. V substrátu se mi rozmnožili springtails. Beru to jako dobrou zprávu poukazující na dostatek organického materiálu kterým se živí. Ale i tak budu jejich počty hlídat a redukovat postřikem substrátu pomocí nimbového oleje (1 polévková lžíce na 1 litr vody + 3 kapky mycího prostředku na nádobí) vždy když mi přijdou jejich počty moc vysoké.

Training Progression (End of Week 3 → Week 4) End of Last Week • Introduced gentle lateral bending using light wire. • Goal: break apical dominance early without inducing stress. • Response: immediate redirection of growth, no negative reactions observed. This Week (Week 4) • Introduced metal clamps to reinforce and stabilize bends. • Purpose: • Hold branches closer to horizontal / toward the floor • Encourage more even stretch and node activation • Maintain structure without repeated manual adjustment • Training intensity remains controlled and intentional, not aggressive. 👉 Important note for education: This is guidance, not force. Plants are being shown where to grow, not pushed. ⸻ 3. Plant Response & Vigor • Overall health: Exceptional • Lush green coloration • Fast growth rate • No stress markers (no clawing, no discoloration, no leaf deformation) • Training response: • Trained plants are accelerating growth and showing earlier developmental cues. • Untrained / lightly trained plants remain relaxed and expressive. • Leaf management: • Only gentle leaf tucking • No defoliation at this stage • Inner node spacing remains excellent, so intervention is unnecessary. ⸻ 4. Pre-Flower Observations (Very Important) • The plant grown in the plastic recipient pot, which experienced: • A different early light behavior • Slight vegetative overlap • More active training ➡️ Is showing early pre-flower signs. This is not surprising and is actually educationally valuable: • Training + structural stress (positive stress) often accelerates maturity signals. • Slight differences in early light exposure can shift hormonal timing. Meanwhile: • 12/12 from seed plants • Still in a clean transitional phase • No visible pre-flower yet • Strong branching (notably under ~6 nodes with good lateral expression) • Internodal spacing is ideal • Development is uniform and calm This staggered response is normal and healthy, not a concern. ⸻ 5. Nutrition & Environment (Week 4) • Nutrition: • Same recipe • Same measurements • No changes introduced • Plants are responding beautifully, so stability is prioritized. • Flower nutrition: • Not yet introduced. • Decision point clearly defined: • Full transition only once the entire room enters pre-flower / flower. • If a few plants advance earlier, a localized, light flower feed patch may be applied — cautiously and intentionally. This shows discipline, which is what separates dialed grows from reactive ones. • Room temperatures: • Stable • Supporting vigorous metabolism without stress • No signs of heat or cold response in leaf posture ⸻ 6. As always, these beauties continue to surprise and captivate with their unique growth patterns and stunning individuality. Let’s dig into the details of this week! 🌟 Growth & Development This week marks a turning point for the girls! While their slow but steady growth continues, I decided to top a few of them. Why? Topping not only encourages bushier growth but also allows the untopped plants to catch up, creating a more balanced canopy moving forward. Each one is still showcasing those jaw-dropping unique traits that make this run feel like a gallery of natural art. The Mentha de Croco mutants truly live up to their name, with each leaf telling its own story—some broad and serrated, others narrow and elongated, all equally breathtaking. Watching them evolve week by week is a lesson in patience and appreciation for the beauty of diversity in nature. 🌡️ Environmental Conditions Good news on the environmental front! The room’s temperature has stabilized to a more comfortable range, with daytime temps at 22°C and RH steady at around 66%. These are near-ideal conditions for vegetative growth, helping the girls to stay happy and stress-free. The stable climate contributes to the vibrant health and vigor they display—always praying to the lights like the champions they are! 💧 Feeding & Nutritional Care Nutritionally, we continue with the tried-and-true regimen: • Aptus Regulator 🌟 • CalMag Boost • Start Booster I’ve completely transitioned to using the All-in-One Pellets, which are doing a fantastic job of delivering slow-release organic nutrition directly in the soil. The decision to stop liquid feedings with the All-in-One Liquid was the right move, and it’s clear the girls are loving the steady supply of essential nutrients right at their roots. Additionally, I’ve been sticking to bottom-watering. Filling the trays and allowing the soil to wick up moisture not only ensures the roots get what they need but also keeps pesky gnats at bay—especially when paired with yellow sticky traps. This method has made a noticeable difference in keeping the grow area clean and pest-free! 🛠️ Cultivation Techniques: To Clone or Flip? The big question of cloning or flipping still hangs in the air. I’m taking my time to observe and assess their progress. Each plant is so unique that I want to give them the space and time to reveal their full potential before deciding. Let’s touch on the two potential strategies for next steps: 1. Flipping to 12/12 for a Short Period: This would allow me to determine sex quickly, but it can stress the plants slightly. 2. Cloning: Creating clones and flipping them instead is a great way to preserve the integrity of the main plants while identifying males and females without disrupting their growth cycle. Both approaches have their merits, and I’m leaning toward cloning once they’re big enough to snip without harm. 📸 Photography Corner: Highlighting Details This week, I brought out the cameras again—my trusty Nikon and Sony with interchangeable lenses—because, let’s face it, phone cameras just don’t do justice to the intricate beauty of these plants. I swapped over to organic nutes part way through this grow cocked up with the medium I used anyway she's doing alright and has produced some very nice solid buds

When I began the contest I had only grown Magic Melon once before (last winter), it grew in an 18 litre pot, became around 4 feet tall, and completely filled a 3'x3' tent. A friend of mine successfully grew a seed I gave them this summer in a container about 4 litres and the plant was considerably smaller. The fact that it can be successfully grown in less than 250mL is astonishing, I have buds from the one grown last winter that are bigger than the can I grew this one in. Harvested 91 days from sprout.

These seeds are very good genetics they withstand a lot of heat and they still remain looking healthy they struggle through it but they look like they're overcoming it I'm very proud of the genetics very proud of my light and my tent good luck GrowMie have fun

This grow has just remained on autopilot, I am very pleased. I have cut back water a bit they were looking a little unhappy going to give them a dry back and not feed a whole day.

Endlich sind die gewünschten sommerlichen Tage mit teils 35° C. eingetreten mit Hitze tagsüber und Gewittern nachts oder in den frühen Morgenstunden. Dementsprechend benötigt die Rainbow Road wesentlich mehr Wasser. Die Flüssigdüngung erfolgt jedoch nur einmalig täglich, das restliche Wasser nach Bedarf. Nur eimalig täglich in die große Töpfe zu gießen genügt nicht bei der Hitze und der Verdunstung. Das heiße, sommerliche Wetter soll noch die kommende Woche anhalten, auch wieder mit Temperaturen bis zu 35° C. Nicht nur die Planzen brauchen jetzt mehr Flüssigkeit, auch der Grower trinkt und trinkt... Die Rainbow Road nimmt es bisher gelassen und erträgt das Wetter sehr gut. Sie hat in dieser Woche das zweite Topping erhalten, aus dem sie schon herauswächst und ist im Vergleich zur letzten Woche 25 cm gewachsen. Vielen Dank für euren Besuch und achtet auf genug Flüssigkeit für euch und die Pflanzen! --- At last, the long-awaited summer days have arrived, with temperatures reaching 35°C at times, bringing heat during the day and thunderstorms at night or in the early hours of the morning. Consequently, Rainbow Road needs considerably more water. However, liquid fertiliser is applied only once a day; the rest of the water is given as required. Watering the large pots just once a day isn’t enough given the heat and evaporation. The hot, summery weather is set to continue into next week, again with temperatures reaching up to 35°C. It’s not just the plants that need more water now; the grower is drinking and drinking too... Rainbow Road has taken it in her stride so far and is coping very well with the weather. She’s had her second topping this week – she’s already outgrowing it – and has grown 25 cm compared to last week.
