They’re getting going! The stretch is over (phew they tend to get long but remained shorter than the last two times) and they’re stacking nicely. Really looking forward to seeing how they continue to grow.

Quite a week!! I did a light defoliation on day 30... I just did a heavy defoliation again on day 36.... I hope they handle this well!! I watered them on day 31 & 33... I I fed them a half dose of all 3 nutrients on day 35... They are starting to stink!! The Cloudline T6 works great!! I also LST'ed them on day 30... they seem to be opening up pretty good... even though I was really late applying the LST.... still learning!! Alana is 16" tall and Anna is 20" tall... Alana grew 6" this week!!! Incredible! I've been battling some humidity lately... it's been in the low 60's for the most part... that's part of the reason I so heavily defoliated today! Otherwise, this grow is going really well!! You'll notice I moved them into the flowering 4X4 tent... I needed to make room in the veg tent.... I germinated 2 Seedsman Strawberry Cheesecake Auto seeds and I'll start their diary tomorrow! Cheers!!

Not much to report this week, the trichomes are still milky. My feeling is that it will take another 2-3 weeks until they are ready to harvest. Until then, I will continue with the fertilizer scheme. The smell of both strains is very pleasantly fruity (citrus) and I continue to monitor the VPD value and temperatures. This time there are no pictures and only videos they show better the development, in the time lapse you can still see a growth in the flowers, slow but there is still growth.

Week 2 of flower roughly and all plants have begun the shift to cotton balls. Except for the males of course but, they’re grown som hefty sacks also😉. As it turns out we have 3 males, not 2. That might present an option to harvest pollen off one of em to actually save for future use. We’ll see how it goes. Other than that - all plants are performing generally well. Certainly we’ll enough to make some seed babies so let’s get to it. I figure nuts start bust’n in about 2 weeks or so yall! Giddy up and slap dat ass - we gotta make ourselves some bit ‘o awesome😎. Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Many thanks to @Exoticseeds for the chance to give these beans a go👍👊. Pollination Strains: Holy Surfer S1 - this is one of the focal points for this cycle. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. Shoutout and cheers to @blendmedmedman. Hoping to have something back to ya in short order. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

Welcome to week 3 of my tiny pot grow.... Herbies just been chillin' taking in the sites and smells of the grow tent. Livin' his best life. Plant is coming along fantastic! A few nodes have started to appear. Will probably be able to start training by the end of the week. Still just watering every other day when dry with 1-1/4 Oz. Day 26, Start of the LST! She bent..... White pistol hairs shooting out of the top new growth. We are either are in flower, or very close to it. Day 28, She's in flower and recovered well from the LST.

Hello guys. So far so good, 2 of the girls(yellow leaves) looks like different genetics a bit 😅. Still growing and not flowering as fast as other 3 plants. I will try to boost them with a bit more nutes.

Saw spidermites setting up camp on the dark side of the plant on 1 bud site. There was no sign of them anywhere else. This plant is becoming more trouble than it’s worth and I’ve decided to chop her early after.

this is the last week of growing I just want to say that to this point I didn't know what I was doing . at that time I bought a book and read it so I could understand more about what I should do.

Lights are down to 28 inches, only running blue spectrum the first 14 days. Will begin nutrients and full spectrum beginning of week 3.

Hey hey my fellow growers, I hope everyone had an excellent week! It is great to be back here at the beginning of week six, let’s get into it! Last week I had misspoke- I said I was going to train 5 of the 6 plants I have going from fastbuds, this was false…. What I meant is all 6… Yes at the time I had only INTENDED on messing with 5 but the last one, the way it was structured with the self top, it was practically BEGGING me to get in there and play with it- and I ask you this- who would I be to deny that little strawberry pie the simple pleasure of a little training? So train I did… Nothing crazy, but actually for all six plants (despite my best efforts, best being debatable) to not go overboard- I have been going in a doing a little bit of training and taking a leaf off here and there if it’s blocking any potential bud sites. I am trying to be really careful and not do too much at once and upset any of them- but at the same time, after stunting them a bit with the taproot incident (which I will keep referring to until I learn from that mistake) I want to do what I can to maximize yield after tripping up a bit in the beginning. We will see how it goes, but for now, everything seems to be doing well and responding well to the bit of training I have been doing. Right now I am seeing a range of sizes among the bunch- the forbidden runtz are both shorter and squatier coming in at about 5.5 inches in height each and I notice everything is spaced a bit tighter on these so I have had some difficulty spreading them out but not to any problematic extent, just in comparison with the rest- Next we have the strawberry pie- the smaller one coming in at 5.5inches, is the one that I was speaking about that had topped itself. It seems to be doing well and handling the training just fine. However the other one, that one is much bigger and is about 8.5 inches tall. It wasn’t until I busted out the ruler that I saw that this was the second biggest plant of the fast buds. That leaves the largest which of course was the gorilla cookies! The smaller of the two is coming in at 8 inches and the larger one coming in at 9.5! They are both tied down and doing great, showing growth each day after being trained and having select leaves removed. We are getting closer and closer to flower I hope to have a bit more time with them but that is totally in their hands, so we will see what happens- the game plan now for me at this point is to keep doing what I’ve been doing- trying to balance on a delicate line. As far as other news… I am doing dishes the other day- I have my phone propped up with YouTube on and dude grows playing (my preferred way to do dishes) I hear the dude mention a giveaway they are doing that I had submitted an entry for recently so my ears had perked up…👀 I saw they had the contest page pulled up and on display and I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be cool if I got to see my picture right now, sure enough- I hear them start talking about my pictures! I in no way won (at this point, my fingers are crossed though haha) and I realize that this is debatably anticlimactic however, I listen to these guys everyday at work so I was stoked! I still am! There are lots of good giveaways going on right now, all the amazing contests going on on this site, Instagram wherever! BIG BIG apologies to Heather from fast buds & to Growdiaries & anyone who follows. The past few months have been a massive struggle, not just with temperatures & growing weed but on a personal level. My wife has been very poorly & with covid and everything going on, it's put a massive strain on us all!! I've tries to maintain an active presence on Instagram but that's about all I've physically had time for. I've put this update together today, so far into the grow now it almost seems pointless. I lost my original Mimosa due to high temps & high RH. Moving into the attic at that time of year was a mistake. It has cost me a small fortune to keep things alive. I've had to purchase an air con unit, more fans & just more of everything to be honest. My purple punch is almost ready to harvest, any time within the next couple of days, followed shortly by Bruce Banner & Kosher cake. I wont be winning any awards for this Diary & I feel bad as I was supposed to be show casing what 420 Fast buds has to offer & I've failed...miserably. Slowly continuing on haha. Very light smell coming from it but i had a look at trichs and think its time to start winding down towards no nutes. Colas are not very large or dense but there are quite a few due to the topping so eager to see total weight.

Little bit of a delay. Wanted to get climate perfect before the flip. Upgraded ventilation and have the tent dialed in well at 74 degrees and 60% humidity during day and 70deg/ 55% at night. Started a second scrog on Day 42. Nervous about the stretch but hopefully I can maintain it (I wish T5 lights could flower...) Did extensive trimming underneath clearing pretty much anything that will never reach the ceiling of green above it. Day 45 marks last day of Veg Day 46 marks first day of flower AND. HERE. WE. GO.

Got a little hot outside this week again and temps in the tents reached a high of 92. They hovered around 85-88 most of the time, and nighttime temps around 75. The plants have been loving the tropical like environments, and in fact showing less signs of stress now they are in warmer temps. I got my magnesium dialed back in with a few applications of Epsom Salt. The pants drank twice as normal this week. I also gave them a feeding with my fermented fruit juice I made and they seem to be loving it. I got a new bottle of cal-mag and does not seem to be as acidic, so i can add a little more than I was without it ruining my ph. It too about 15ml per gallon of the FFJ to Ph my water down form 7.8 to 6.5. I tested it before use and its PH is around 2.5. Between the Epsom salt, FFJ, and kelp. The plants are really starting to bounce back from their slight unhappiness. They are all looking near 100 percent health. At the end of the week they are are raging and praying to the light like theirs no tomorrow. Glowing vibrant lush green, the buds are also already a decent size for only being week 2. The plants and in much need of some defoliation but I will wait one more week after stretch to get that taken care of. The dehumidifier running during night cycle has been keeping things in check. The clones rooted and I potted them up to 1 gallon so I now have small moms. I got new worms and my worm bins cleaned out and set up again. Each of the 65 gallon pots got a small ball of worms added to the top soil to get the worm populations growing in them again. I was hoping those casting I added a few weeks ago with added worm eggs would hatch some but no luck so i just got some from Uncle Jim's worm farm.

GLF - 2g - 24” mainline OLP 2 - 2g - 20” topped OLP 3 - 2g - 18” topped (and broke 2 branches!) OLP 4 - 2g - 15” topped, LST & super cropped OLP 1 - 500ml x4 - 10” super cropped Little bit of defoliation on bottom and centre. All doing well. Increased water needs. Flowers starting to develop. The OLPs are a week behind because the timer in their tent was flipping back and forth between 12-12 and 18-6 for about 10 days.. ooosie! Moms are being maintained as little bonsai plants in solo cups in my back bedroom near the window with a single 100w panel set to 18-6. Being mostly neglected, infrequent watering, lean fertilizer, heavy defoliation.
