Week 1 Report: The White OG - Solo Survivor’s Journey Survivor Status: One Seedling Standing Strong 🌱 Our girl The White OG is standing tall and doing her thing! While some seeds may take their time or not make the cut, this resilient little seedling is already setting the tone. With close to 100% relative humidity (RH) under the dome, she’s got the ideal environment to kickstart her roots and early growth. Environment: Humidity Dome Life • RH: Close to 100%, creating that tropical atmosphere where seedlings thrive. Humidity at this level helps keep her cells hydrated, and with a dome, moisture is consistently recirculated. This prevents her from drying out and promotes steady root and leaf development. • Lighting: For now, we’re keeping the intensity low. At this young stage, seedlings benefit from indirect, gentle light, just enough to encourage photosynthesis without causing stress. Future of Grow LED on a dim setting (200 PPFD) does the job, providing the perfect balance for early growth. Water & Nutrition: Keeping It Simple No heavy nutrients this week; she’s working off the stored energy in her seed. The aim is to keep the soil or Root Riot cube slightly moist but not soaked. Overwatering can drown young roots, so light misting is all she needs to stay comfortable and growing strong. Growth Observations: Slow but Steady Wins the Race Our solo survivor might be growing at her own pace, but that’s exactly what we want! At this early stage, less is more, and slow growth often indicates a strong foundation. We’re looking for stable, healthy roots and tight early nodes as she finds her rhythm. Grower’s Tips for Week 1 1. Humidity Control: Keep RH high but watch for condensation build-up. Too much moisture can invite mold, so allow some airflow if needed. 2. Stay Light on Water: Just enough misting to keep the medium damp. 3. Patience Is Key: Each plant has its own pace; giving her time to establish now sets her up for a strong journey. Next Steps As we move into Week 2, I’ll be keeping an eye out for early leaves (cotyledons) opening up, as well as steady, even growth. Sep 21: fall is here with 12 h of darkness and hopefully she picks up the flowering pace while the weather and sunlight are still okay. Sep 27: this sativa pheno is progressing but it is a bit too slow for this area. If I had forced it with 12 h darkness in mid-July it would have worked, but instead I just phyto-forced with a 730 nm far red light starting about Aug 1. The red light is enough for the indica type plants to finish in time here, but it doesn’t seem to be enough for the sativas. Whatevs, I have more than enough and this will all be going for hash anyway. Sativas can be grown here but they need to be forced by light deprivation in July and not just phyto-forced starting in August. Sep 29: two week forecast is suddenly much better so she’s still got a chance to finish properly. Fingers crossed. It hit 0 C here last night and daytime high of only 8-9C so we’re mostly done for the season.

Day 50 - Starting week 8 and nothing much to complain about. She’s in SoHum soil so didn’t think she needed any nutes but it does look like some leaves look like she’s hungry so I’ll give her till her next watering and if she’s still looking like that, I’ll give her a light dose of nutes. Her leaf edges are curling a bit too and I moved her around in the tent cause I think the wind was hitting her too much, so we’ll see how this works. Day 51 - Nothing new today, just did a little more leaf tucking today and already put her back but noticed a couple branches that are getting a bit long so will probably see if they’re still flexible enough to tie down, if not, I’ll let em grow. Day 52 - Starting to get a little too light in color so thinking she definitely needs her first round of nutes. Haven’t given any to this point because SoHum is supposedly a water only soil but I think she’s starting to get hungry. Went ahead and tied down two other branches but third one was too stiff but it was the shorter of the three so she’ll be ok. Day 53 - Nothing new today other than I removed a couple yellow fan leaves towards the bottom and a couple others that are blocking the light to a few bud sites. Day 55 - Still looking good but some leaves are yellowing a bit and think it’s due to it feeding her at all. So long as the buds keep developing and fattening, I think she’ll be ok. Should be ready for some water in another day or two. Day 56 - Ending another week today and all seems to be going well still. The soil was dry today so gave her a little over a gallon of water. Other than that, I tucked a few leaves and put her back in the tent.

Week 7 staring and plants are looking beautiful, time to flip to flower.. I am flipping it tonight so I will post some more updates in the coming days.. increasing watering, dimming, and fertz.. so far happy with what I am seeing.. barneys always fireeee

Hi Growmies, This was her last week of heavy feeding. I have already decreased the nutes for the coming week and will probably start flushing her the week after. So that she should be finished by the end of the contest pretty much. Regardless of her age the rootball has shrunk only a little bit. I have also taken her out of the scrog to enable the canopy to open up further and allow more light penetration for the maturation of the buds. This worked actually very well, as the weight of the buds pull the plant open. Thanks for stepping by and until next week!

Day15 - Day17: I had some difficulties to get the humidity right. It was either too high or fluctuating too much. I ended up getting a timer for the plug and running the humidifier 15mins every hour. To help with air flow, I have the main duct fan running 4 times a day for an hour. To ensure that there's airflow around the plant, I have a fan in the light as well as a smaller clip-on fan that runs during light hours. I'm not sure how the camera moved on day17... I only watered it mid-day. Day18: The timer on the humidifier and Duct Fan is now keeping the humidity in a good space. VPD now under control Day19: The Vivosun controller perfectly adapted the lighting schedule to an hour earlier, to ensure 6hrs of darkness. UInfortunately the RPi kept it's 04:00 schedule (makes sense). So I captured an hour of darkness. Adapted everything. Will have 18hrs again from Day20 onwards. Day20: In the next days I'll lift the camera higher for a better view of what's happening up top. My mesh-netting-dingsbums will arrive and I'll use this as a platform for the pi+camera. Day21: I'm not sure if I like this angle. I'll only keep it like this until she goes into veg-mode. It at least shows the new nodes growing from different perspective

9/18: New week...fed with Boomerang and Kangaroots 9/19: Applied Axiom harpin proteins and boomboom spray 9/20: Fed full strength TPS One...decent growth. The smaller one is less droopy now. 9/21: Tucked a few leaves and took some photos and a video. Looking good. Just a couple more days of 24/0... 9/22: Switched out the 560w of 5000k CCT lighting for 720w of 3000k CCT lighting and set the timer for 12/12. Decided against 13/11 with emerson effect...trying to save a few bucks on electricity. I'm keeping the lights at 30" from the tops for a day or two. 9/23: The girls loved their first night of sleep...so perky!

I transplanted everything over the past 3 or 4 days and am just giving them some time to break in their new shoes before I flip them. I got a new bottle of calmag I think the one I was using was old it's been on the shelf for a while. The heat is still a little lower than I would like and now with the bigger pots humidity has gone way up.

Phed reservoirs to 5.8 10/11 Trichomes are are getting near half cloudy, no signs of amber yet. Phed to 5.6 10/12 Water added and Phed to 5.8 Trimming finished on chopped plant that's drying. 10/13 Adjusted Ph to 6.0 and topped of the reservoirs. Harvested plant will be drying for another day or two. 10/14 PH was really low on the Flushing plant. Adjusted it to 6.2. The other plant had its reservoir topped and PH set to 5.8. 10/15 Started the flush on the final plant. Will probably do a shorter flush this time and test the difference. I think a week in DWC feels long. 10/16 Reservoirs topped and PH adjusted to 5.6. Flush started on the Final plant 😎 Extremely excited for the smoke review of these badgirls. So far so good! Two of Three plants remain. One of them has less mature trichomes the other is coming down any day now. These plants are amazing to handle. You can Smell that these girls are not playing around one bit.
