11 day dry / bucket & Grove bag cure

Ok so I put a significant amount of time into this grow. Learned a ton (everything lol) as it was my first. After the final week, I decided to harvest when the trichs were milky and clear. Few amber here and there but time constraints meant I had to chop a bit earlier than I’d have preferred. I do prefer a more uplifting cerebral effect yet realize with an indica leaning strain, having all cloudy and maybe 25% amber would have been 👌🏼. My drying process began by chopping a plant at a time, I washed the buds to get the PM or traces off (also grime from outdoor city air). I used a big bucket and did hydrogen peroxide. In heindsight I would have used baking soda as well and did a two step wash. After washing them, I hung to dry with a fan until they stopped dripping then into the tent they went for drying at roughly 68 degrees and 55% humidity. I staggered the harvest and wet trimmed about 70% of the time with the latter 30% dry trimmed. This was done for convenience and to try both ways. I dried everything for about 12-13 days until the smallest stems snapped and the larger ones were borderline cracking. I started jarring everything with humidity meters, about a half oz per smaller widemiuth jam jar. The smell was never hay-like but did vary in strength and scent from plant to plant. Almost no seeds which was pretty great to see. One of the outdoor plants had quite a few seeds so I kept that separate. It ironically had the stinkiest floral smell. So what’s the total!! After curing in jars for about a month, I weighted everything and came out with 10.5oz of cured trimmed flower and about 2 oz of sugar leaf trim which I am making canna butter with and cooking. Made some reduculously strong cookies: 11 cookies from about 10 grams of trim. Ate two and was medicated for about 24hrs 😂. Some of the buds were super dense and cured down to 58 RH easily. There were a few of the large big buds that had mass but less density and fewer trichomes. These were more red-hair visually than the others. The smoke: surprisingly smooth. The effect is energizing and uplifting at first, with a nice sedative body feeling on the second half of things. Overall, I’m super happy with the result. Learned a TON and will be modifying my approach a bit next go-around this spring. Stay tuned!!!

En esta semana terminamos con una Ec de 1.6 y un ph de 5.8. Están creciendo muy rápido y con fuerza en los tallos. Los tamaños de las pequeñas son: las red hot cookies 24 y 34 cm, las tropicanas 27 y 37 cm y la purple puch og 24 cm.

Hey guys, Like I said last week, this week was another cold rainy week. Discoverd some budrot on my Shamans, but not mayor problems. Therefore I decided to Harvest my Shamans at the end of this week. Knowing that in the upcomming weeks it will get even more colder, more rain and more bud rot. Luckly I only gave them water and one time with Humic-Blast and enzym+. Thats not a proper flush but better then full nutrients in the soil/plant. If it wasn't for the colder climate, i would had let them flower for another 1 to 2 weeks because they really started to thicken and the flowers were swelling. But at the end i rather have smokable buds then budrot buds,,, Weather for the upcomming week is 70% to 92% rain with 11-14 degrees Celcius and at night even 7-9 celcius. So there is no point by risking all of my buds to rot, in hope for some swelling which may never come with this colds The Critical Kushes where in their 4th week of flowering, going into the 5th. I have no other choice to keep them at least for another 2-4 weeks, lets see how it goes. I don't mind spending nutrients on maybe a lost cost. Her flowers are continuing to bulk up and are covered in glistening trichomes. She appears to be starting to fade which is exactly what I'm hoping to see, meaning that she's just about used up the nutrients in her medium. I watered today with 1.5g of de-chlorinated water which was then ph'd to 6.6 @ 72℉ turned her pot and shot a few pictures of her. 10/6- Today I watered her with 1.5g of her usual straight de-chlorinated water that's ph'd to 6.5 @ 72℉ and turned her pot. She's definitely starting to fade, is still stacking her flowers, bulking up and has an incredible amount of trichomes which I'm beginning to monitor daily. 10/8- The routine of watering every other day continues like clockwork. Yesterday was a 'no water' day and I did a basic check over of the plant, removed a couple of yellowed lower leaves and turned her pot. Today she got the usual 1.5g of straight de-chlorinated water that's ph'd to 6.5 @ 72℉ and had her pot turned. I've also begun to check her trichome development with a digital USB microscope to try to identify the ideal harvest time which will be in the next 12 days +/-. 10/10- Well, Week Eight has come, gone and has been a trial once again of my patience! She's so frosty and into her fade now that I've wanted to chop her several times but, I know from experience, good things come to those who wait... then wait a bit more. I anticipate that she'll be ready by the end of this coming week, and I can't wait! I've cut the wattage back on the HLG 650R to 500w at the wall now to simulate the way that sunshine becomes weaker as fall approaches due to the lower angle of the sun in the sky. This helps outdoor plants to know that winters on the way and they need to hurry up and complete their life cycle. Cutting the wattage back creates the same effect on the indoor plants, especially when coupled with lowered temperatures in the tent. I have also noticed that her water uptake has slowed. After her heavy watering on the 8th, her pot still had some weight to it and she was looking great so I went ahead and skipped watering her today, watering her tomorrow at lights on with her usual. trimmed and netted the plants last night, 12/30, and the energy pushed the plants to stretch another 1/2 inch+ this will be the last week of vegetation as I prep this light leaking tent for flower, not a fan of mars hydro at all right now. their poles are the weakest I've encountered yet, too many light leaks and this is the first grow with it. My high cfm fan , which is only a 4", is pulling the fabric too much and causing the leaks to grow a bit. This is not new, its been happening with indoor tents for a while now but I thought a grow company such as MH would have a decent, respectable tent. My solution is Blackout Curtains draped over the sides. However, I am hesitant to do this with the MH tent as the poles for the tent are too weak as it is, tsk tsk tsk mars hydro. will continue to increase the watts the next 6 days HAPPY NEW YEAR a combination of light and fresh soil has made the plants stretch so I will finish tightening up the MH tent today and ill start flower tomorrow, day 62. while adjusting the height I must have nudged the dial for the dimmer and sent it to 184w. this would have been a big jump but manageable but I lowered the light 7" and the plants took a bit of a hit. I adjusted the light back down to 160w and I'll let the plants recover before anymore adjustments.

Bud wet weight : 168,1g of trimmed medium to big sized buds 25,4g of tiny tiny buds/larfs = 193.5 grams of trimmed wet buds. Details on genetics and smoke report above. This, as my first grow, is way more than I ever expected it to be. I haven´t had that much fun and enthusiasm in a very very long time. I can´t even explain the feeling it is to harvest your own cannabis, but I know most of you know what I´m talking about haha. It was really nice to practice LST, even tho it was SO HARD, ´cause I didn´t had barely any space to work since I used a hard pot and did not fill nearly half the size of it and the walls of the pot were really high. It was even difficult to water without dropping water on the lower buds. I haven´t learnt much about defoliation tho, I feel I need to study a little more about the phases you should or should not do it. Also, I discovered thrips are a pain in the ass. I had 2 tough weeks dealing with thrips, but in the end it was alright. I don´t have any humidity control device, which I intend to buy for the next grows. Growdiaries was really helpful for me, it kept me motivated everyday (not that I wouldn´t have had it anyways), the Grow Questions are REALLY useful and all the community is awesome. Thanks to all people that helped me here on GD during this first grow! To conclude it: I am really happy and satisfied with how the grow turned out. They look incredible, it almost feels like I can´t believe it still. Peace. UPDATES: 07/10 : The buds are now dry and already in curing jars, one of them with a Boveda 58% humidity pack. The total grams of the dry buds are: 41.4g (medium to big sized buds) 4.1g (tiny buds) = 45.5 grams! I´m really happy with the results, I thought it would be around 30g so yeah, that´s a really good surprise! In 2 weeks I´ll be back to update the smoke report. Thanks so much for reading! I really think the aroma can get better, but the taste is already good enough for me. The smoke report has been done and in case I have something to add, I´ll report here. Great week 100% germination rate and all the girls are out of the soil ready to start life. Haven't found a Bubble gum strain like the real one, let's hope this is it. Day 63 This plant now shows a much fuller canopy, with strong lateral growth and dense foliage. The training earlier in veg has clearly paid off — multiple tops are reaching upward, giving the structure a wide and balanced appearance. The node spacing is fairly tight, and the plant has developed into a bushy, healthy shape. Leaf color is a deep, rich green, a sign of good nutrient uptake. The canopy is vigorous and energetic, with new shoots continuing to push through. The posture of the leaves is upright and responsive, indicating that the plant is currently in a comfortable environment. No major signs of deficiencies are visible from this angle. At this stage, the plant looks ready to transition soon if the goal is flowering. The main considerations now are airflow and light penetration: the canopy is dense, so a light defoliation of older fan leaves could help improve circulation and ensure even bud development later on. Next steps will be to maintain a steady feeding schedule, monitor watering carefully, and prepare for the upcoming stretch once the light cycle is switched.
