🌱 Grow Report — Week 9 (Week 5 Flower) Photoperiods | 12/12 from Seed vs 2 Weeks Veg After weeks of growth, adjustments, patience, and a few ups and downs… we’ve arrived at one of the most exciting stages of the cycle. This is where everything starts to come together. ⸻ 🔬 Quick Recap (for anyone joining now) We’re running the same genetics in two different approaches: • 🌱 Plant A — 12/12 from seed (no veg) • 🌱 Plant B — 2 weeks veg before 12/12 Current environment: • 🌡️ 28°C • 💧 60–65% RH • ⚡ EC 2.4 • pH 6.5 • 🌬️ CO₂ ~1000 ppm • 💧 Water intake: ~1.5–2L/day Both plants are healthy, vigorous, and pushing hard — but expressing themselves very differently. ⸻ 🌿 What’s Happening This Week This is true flower acceleration. You can see it clearly: • Bud sites stacking • Internodal spacing defining structure • Pistils exploding • Trichomes beginning to coat everything The plant is now shifting energy from: 👉 vertical growth → flower production + resin output ⸻ ✨ Trichomes — The Frost Begins Those macro shots… beautiful. What you’re seeing: • Early capitate-stalked trichomes forming • Resin heads still mostly clear • Rapid increase in density on sugar leaves and calyxes Why do trichomes exist? They’re not just “frost”: • 🛡️ Protection against UV • 🐛 Defense against pests • 💧 Moisture regulation • Chemical factory (terpenes + cannabinoids) What does this level of production mean? 👉 Strong genetic expression 👉 Good environmental balance 👉 High potential for quality resin later on Right now = foundation stage Later = bulking + ripening ⸻ 🌸 Pistils (White Hairs) — What They Tell Us Those white hairs everywhere = pistils. They are: • The female reproductive organs • Designed to catch pollen (which we don’t want here) What they indicate: • Plant is in active flower development • Bud sites are still building structure • No maturity yet — still early/mid stage When they: • Turn orange/brown → maturity approaching • Recede → calyx swelling begins Right now? 👉 Peak formation phase ⸻ 🌱 Bud Formation & Structure You said it perfectly: 👉 “Golf balls forming” That’s exactly it. What we’re seeing: • Tight clusters starting • Defined spacing between bud sites • Structure that will determine final yield Key observation: • The spacing is clean and organized • Light penetration is doing its job • No overcrowding → better airflow + resin potential ⸻ 🌿 Color & Health That lush green? 👉 Perfect. Day 52-64 (Day 54) I’m going to thoroughly inspect each plant and remove bananas if found. So far it’s only been the one on #7 but I don’t want to take a chance. I’m also going to give a watering with some runoff. (Day 55) Can’t find anymore bananas but that one. I will probably find a few bag seeds but who knows. It’s way too late for pollen to really have effect anyway. These 5 plants finish nice and early compared to my other tent flipped on the same day. I would never take this strain 65+ days like last time. I would do 56-60 days next time I flower this strain (Day 58) Holy shit this tent is fading like crazy now. They are starting to show some beautiful autumn colors. #1 #5 and #7 are definitely done. #3 and #6 could use a little more time so I’ve decided to take them down on the 24th. I haven’t seen anymore bananas and the one that popped out on #7 has shriveled up and receded. (Day 63) I’m seeing what look like seed pods starting to form in some of the main colas on my picture perfect pheno. #7 is showing 3 or 4 little bananas too. All of the top buds are definitely done so I’m going to harvest as soon as the lights come on tomorrow. I’m going to give one last watering right now and then harvest. I’ve noticed that harvesting a watered plant will extend the dry time by a few days and that’s exactly what I’m looking for. A nice slow dry. Plants are being full plant hung + dry trimmed and tent is being kept at 60-65 degrees and 60-65% RH. Cutting everything down was a pain in the ass. I had to individually cut each square the scrog net so it wouldn’t contract and squish all the buds. I chopped down my other tent as well so I have no other plants in flower right now.

6 out of 8 plants in pre-flowering, i replaced my humidifier with the dehumidifier, very present smell when I open the tent, a little early like my last crop. ⚠️ Day 26: Green gelato is hermaphrodite, destruction of the Green gelato, burial of a northern light.

This week the Blueberry is still in mid-flowering, and the buds are swelling steadily with nice calyx formation. The fruity aroma is getting stronger and trichome coverage is spreading well over the flowers. At this stage I’m continuing with Big Bud, since the plant is still focusing on building mass and volume. Big Bud provides the extra phosphorus and potassium needed for flower development before I make the switch to Overdrive later on. For now, the Blueberry is showing healthy progress and I expect the real bulk to come in the next couple of weeks.

Day 41 - 07/12/19 This one has grown a hell of a lot of fan leaves. had to pluck a lot of them. now the light can penetrate lower growth. theres a lovely NYCD smell coming from this one! smells amazing! Height is 36cm at the tallest cola and thats with a big LST. trying to keep height down as i have not added rope rachets to my lights yet. Im gonna be giving a fair bit of Nitrogen this week (Canna A), potassium and phosphorus (Canna B) as flowering stage is here :) Changed Ph from around 6.6/6.7 - 6.3 Added a few pictures and a video to show progress from last week. not much else this week just happy little plants! Day 43 - 09/12/19 Just rotating the diesel now twice a day so it all gets light coverage as im keeping my Quick One plant mostly under the flowering lights until its harvest next week. apparently the quick one has a polyploid mutation causing it to have a much bigger yield. so i think it deserves the light for a few more days. The diesel is still giving off that lovely smell and getting bigger every day. its definitely wider than my quick one and soon to be taller. Had to defoliate some of the bigger fan leaves to allow more light through to lower growth as the odd fan leaf was turning yellow. Ive been feeding 2 times with nutes and water phed and giving only phed water on the third occassion to prevent salt buildup and nutrient toxicities. Week 9 commence flushing. This lady is looking great, super frosty, sticky and got a sweet aroma. Removed some dying leaves and now we wait for chop in about 6-7 days.

Problem with ec too much inflush a Little

(EN) The plants are in a wooden planter to protect them from strong winds (they remain in their 3.6L pots for now). Watering with clear water on day 21. Some plants have slightly tipped but nothing serious. Meteorological change from day 23, with a drop in temperature and rainy, cloudy and windy weather (but this does not prevent the plants from growing, on the contrary). Watering with root fertilizer at 1mL/L and growth fertilizer at 1mL/L on day 25. (CAN) Les plants sont dans une jardinière en bois afin de les protéger des vents violents (ils restent pour l’instant dans leur pots de 3,6L). Arrosage à l’eau clair le jour 21. Quelques plants ont légèrement tigé mais rien de grave. Changement météorologique a partir du jour 23, avec une baisse de température et un temps pluvieux, nuageux et venteux (mais cela n’empêche pas les plants de croître, au contraire). Arrosage avec l’engrais racinaire à 1mL/L et l’engrais de croissance a 1mL/L le jour 25.

Tento týden jsem provedl pořádnou defoliaci a odstranění nízkých větví, které se nedostanou na světlo. Zakoupení odvlhčovače nepomohlo snížit vlhkost.. budu muset pravděpodobně v budoucnosti zalévat menším množství vody. D82/19 Čtvrtek Každá z holek dostala 1,5l vody bez živin. Poté jsem rozpustil 2x RQS bloom booster tablets ve 13 litrech vody do které jsem přidal i ostatní živiny vypsané výše. Tento roztok jsem rozdělil mezi mé dívky. Každá tím pádem dostala 3 litry vody a částečně jsem tím propláchl substrát jako prevenci usazování solí.

Just started the 2 week flush before harvest. Flowers are getting fat, hairs have changed color . Now I just have to watch the trichomes .

After the shock of all gelatos showing male signs, we got our shit together and removed all balls !! Zkittlez is getting out of tent for her black period tomorrow, giving our bigger gelato more space !! We still have one week and a half before Zki2 leave the tent and let the girls ride !! The final 4-5 weeks will go mad !! Need to clean our hps bulb and cooltube.. Tangie will go to their space, cuz she didnt show balls, so less maintance.. cheers and dont give up on hermies.. maybe it was just a bad day !! Temp dropped with a polar mass coming to our town, and water was freezing !! Light leaks were considered too, overwatering/feeding were disconsidered LST and rearrengement will be done as soon as Zkittlez mature..

Got everything hung up. Stripped the fan leaves and broke down into sections. Run 60/60 or as close as i can get until the stems snap.
