Big transformation in 1 week, plants are covered with buds, they didnt get a lot of stretch, the buds are just stacked. I did a massive defoliation on Sunday, removing more or less all the fan leaves i could safetly cut off without damaging bud sites. A lot of light for all the buds. Some problems start to occur. First all the leaves got their tips dry and they twist up, i thought its nute burn but supposedly its cal-mag deficiency, so i am adding it to my nutrients now. I also got attacked by caterpillars, i found a couple but recent bites looks like there is more. Search and destroy mode + BT.

Wochenupdate – Tag 91 | Blüte Tag 31 🌱 Allgemeiner Eindruck Der Grow läuft insgesamt noch stabil, aber man sieht inzwischen recht deutlich, dass die Pflanzen in den letzten Tagen am Limit gefahren sind. Der Blütenaufbau geht weiter voran, der Geruch wird intensiver und die Kush zeigt ordentlich Harz, gleichzeitig zeigen beide Pflanzen sichtbare Calcium- und allgemeine Nährstofftransportprobleme, die klar auf das Klima zurückzuführen sind. Das war für die Blümchen spürbar Stress. 🌡️ Klima & VPD Durch trockene Winter- und Heizungsluft kam es zeitweise zu sehr hohen VPD-Werten (teils im Bereich 1,7–1,9), vor allem morgens – klassisch morgens Sahara, mittags Treibhaus. In dieser Phase stand mein Luftbefeuchter noch bei einer anderen Pflanze. Er ist inzwischen wieder im Blütezelt, wodurch sich das Klima deutlich beruhigt hat. Die aktuellen Symptome zeigen gut, dass der Nährstoff- und Calciumtransport unter dem hohen VPD schlicht eingebrochen war. Nährstoffe & Maßnahmen CalMag wurde ordentlich erhöht, um die Calcium-Verfügbarkeit abzusichern. Zusätzlich wurden Mikroben gegeben, um das System wieder besser ins Arbeiten zu bringen. Bio-Bloom wurde ganz dezent nachgeschoben. Durch das ungünstige VPD haben die Pflanzen zeitweise nicht sauber getrunken, was den Transport zusätzlich ausgebremst hat. Seit der Entlaubung an BT21 ist der Wasserverbrauch sowieso etwas geringer. Jetzt heißt es: abwarten, wirken lassen, Geduld üben 🐛 Schädlingslage Trauermücken gehen dank Nematoden langsam zurück. Trips sind weiterhin präsent, daher gab es nochmals Raubmilben sowie Florfliegenlarven zur Regulierung. ✅ Fazit Insgesamt bin ich weiter zuversichtlich. Der Stretch ist eingefangen, die Richtung stimmt, auch wenn das Klima kurz deutlich zu hart war. Jetzt geht es darum, das Setup stabil zu halten und den Pflanzen Zeit zu geben, sich wieder sauber einzupendeln. Draußen Winter, drinnen Blüte. Allen eine gute Woche. 🌱 RockoCalenberg Weekly Update – Day 91 | Flower Day 31 🌱 Overall Impression Overall the grow is still running stable, but it’s now quite clear that the plants have been pushed close to their limit over the last days. Bud development is progressing, the smell keeps getting stronger and the Kush is showing plenty of resin. At the same time, both plants show visible calcium and general nutrient transport issues, clearly linked to the climate. This phase definitely caused some stress. 🌡️ Climate & VPD Due to dry winter air and heating, VPD levels were temporarily very high (partly around 1.7–1.9), especially in the mornings – classic Sahara in the morning, greenhouse at noon. During that time, the humidifier was still running with another plant. It has since been moved back into the flower tent, which helped calm and stabilize the climate again. The current symptoms clearly show that nutrient and calcium transport was simply maxed out under those high VPD conditions – this wasn’t just isolated spots, but visible overall. Nutrients & Actions CalMag was increased properly to secure calcium availability. In addition, microbes were applied to help the system get back into balance. Bio-Bloom was topped up very lightly. Because of the unfavorable VPD, the plants were not drinking cleanly at times, which further limited nutrient transport. Since the defoliation at FD21, overall water uptake has been slightly lower and is being taken into account. For now it’s about waiting and letting things work, without further interventions. 🐛 Pest Situation Fungus gnats are slowly declining thanks to nematodes. Thrips are still present, so another round of predatory mites was added, along with lacewing larvae for additional control. ✅ Conclusion Overall I’m still confident. Stretch is under control and the direction is right, even though the climate was clearly too harsh for a short period. Good harvest and excellent buds. Buds are loaded with a lot of THC, which provides a powerful multifaceted effect, combining daytime high and relaxing evening stone. I like to smoke this kind and relax while watching TV or playing cards. This strain is easy to grow and I have not had any problems or overdose of fertilizers. In the fourth week, the plant has more than doubled its growth - up to 30cm. I did not change the main indicators of the microclimate, but again slightly corrected the nutrition scheme: I added NESY KOKO 20ml to 5 liters of water. The bush looked healthy, strong and the first signs of pre-blossom began to appear on it. Flowering began on the 45th day. The plant was stretched out at a frantic pace - almost 4 centimeters a day. Thus, by the end of the 7 week, its size was already 45 centimeters. With the beginning of the eighth week, the elongation of growth stopped. The final height (along the center line) was 60cm. I decided to shorten the light period - now it was 12/12. I started use HESI PK 13/14 HESI BOOST.( once a week) At 9 weeks, I started to gradually defoliation. The bumps were very heavy and dense, so I gently pulled them to the center cola, as the side branches might not be able to handle the weight. From the 11th week on, I stopped feeding the plant, giving it exceptionally clean water for flushing. The trichomes began to turn cloudy and signaled that it was time to harvest. By this point, I had completely removed the foliage from the bush - everything was ready for harvesting. I dry cut buds in the same grow box where they grew. I haven't tried these buds yet. I was pleased with the quality of the strain. The center kola, as well as the side branches, gave me an excellent harvest. As for growing, I did not experience any difficulties. I recommend using a charcoal filter when growing - the variety is very aromatic. After drying and curing, I will take a sample from the finished product. On the way out, I got a first-class, top-quality IndiCA. The taste is dominated by pine woody notes. The effect has a powerful relaxing effect and awakens a brutal appetite in me. I like to smoke this kind and relax while watching TV or playing cards. Thanks to sponsor HESI for nutrients I got this report. I am very pleased with the result. The whole cycle I had no problems with the growth. In the future, I ll sure to use their further line of fertilizers. I added fertilizers according to the table from NESI. 1. The level of PPM is relatively low and it is large 2. The PH level was corrected automatic and I have a video about it. 3. Due to the content of B vitamins and natural sugars, the flowers grow naturally and fast. 4. NESI complex was enough for full grow cycle. I did not add any extra food. 5. The end product is easier to clean as the PPM level is low.

Blütewoche 8: Es breitet sich ein wunderschöner Duft beim öffnen des Zeltes aus. Die Blüten schwellen noch immer an. Hier wird einiges im Komposter enden falls mir nicht doch noch der Schimmel einen Strich durch die Rechnung macht. Die Skywalker scheint wahrlich einen direkten Draht zur Macht zu haben. Werde ich definitiv nochmal anbauen! Einige Blüten scheinen teils viel zu schwer für die Stengel zu sein. Das netz macht sich hier mal wieder bezahlt. Ein leichter Mangel macht sich an den unteren Blättern bemerkbar. Ist mir aber nur recht, Ende dieser Woche wird es das letzte mal Dünger geben. Grüße 👋

Day 78, I switched plant #2 to an all PK diet with FloraFlex Full Tilt. She’ll take up the whole 3.5 gals of nutes by Wednesday. I’m then going to begin my 3 day flush Wednesday evening. And I will chop her on Saturday evening. I also took a little sample nug off plant #2 just want to compare non-flushed to flushed weed. Also see how much they shrink in size. Day 79, Plant #2 is on schedule to start flush in 2 days. And I will give her the chop this coming weekend. Going to try a ice flush using frozen water bottles to see if I can help bring out more color. The other plants #1 and #3 are still a two weeks or so away from being chopped. Day 81, started the 3 day flush on Plant #2. And took some more photo shots of her buds and a 360° view video. Day 84, Plant #2 got the chop. Wet weight, before light trim and removing large stems is 760 grams!!! I will update once they finish drying, and then again once I finish the trim and about to jar them for cure. Plants #1 & #3 are still flowering, probably another week or two before they are ready to be chopped.

Since this was a first grow, I treated mostly as a learning experience. I had one other plant of the same strain two weeks behind this one. I was happy with the bud structure, nice and dense and they trimmed up nice. I never did get any plant aromas while it was growing. I'm posting this after I've dried and cured both plants. I didn't dry this one properly and the hay smell ended up pretty strong during dry and didn't go away enough during cure. So end result was pretty nugs that smelled a bit of hay and wasn't potent at all. My fault, I don't blame the genetics. I realize now I was underwatering and that better equipment equals better results.

Week 4 of flower and it’s been a week for the books. The males gizzed all over the females and we spent the better part of a week harvesting the males for pollen, then defoliating and spraying the pollinated females, then going full sanitize on the entire tent… (that part always sucks). Either way, they’re off to the seed making and generally showing a brilliant, yet subtle pink across most phenos. Gonna be pretty cool seeing how the colours develop on these👌. The fact that the pinks are prevalent amongst all plants is very encouraging. Still early for sure - but… potential for something special👍. Terp. Profiles are becoming quite pronounced now too. So far, we’ve got one that smells of a very sweet sorta pine in female #3 and a definitive baked berrry scent in female #1. The hope was always to balance out the earthiness of the Kush which is classic to the strain in terms of taste, just not overly tasty. Again, still early but we might’ve achieved that here on crossing🤞👌. All told and as long as we keep ‘em alive to the finish - we should have tons of seed and a well defined set of partially drilled down traits. Counting 3 discernible potential phenos so far and can’t wait to see what the clones reveal🤟. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts.
