Week 9 - Fourth Week of Flower The Donutz gang is hitting its stride as the fourth week of flower unfolds. Trichomes are developing beautifully, and the plants are entering full production mode. A few challenges cropped up this week, but quick thinking and some DIY ingenuity kept everything on track. Key Updates: Trichome Progress: The resin glands are popping off, with a frosty layer forming across the developing buds. The plants are starting to show their true potential, and the tent is starting to smell. New Fan Installation: The old ventilator tapped out this week, so a replacement was installed to maintain proper airflow. This ensures the plants stay cool and prevents any issues with humidity or stagnant air. Lamp Adjustment: The front-left plant shot up too close to the light, so I had to get creative. I built a DIY solution to raise the lamp higher, ensuring even coverage and preventing light stress. Accident Recovery: During the light adjustment, I initially tried securing the front-left plant with a rubber band. Concerned it might melt, I removed it, but in the process, the main stem got damaged. Thankfully, the plant is a fighter. The main cola is now growing sideways but remains fully healthy and strong. This unexpected twist has added some character to the tent, and the plant is bouncing back beautifully. Observations: Despite the challenges, all plants are thriving, with strong growth and healthy bud development. The sideways-growing cola on the front-left plant is a unique highlight, showing the resilience of the Donutz genetics. Next Steps: Keep monitoring airflow and light height to avoid any further issues. Continue with the nutrient schedule and reverse osmosis (RO) watering to maintain stability. @FAST_BUDS, Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important. Today I have put my seeds in my moisture dome and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days. D113. The start of yet another week of flower, but it will probably be the last as chop day is drawing close. I'll check later in the week and let the trichomes decide. I gave each girl two liters of water @ pH 6.6 with FFJ and bokashi juice. ------------------------------ D116. There's not much to report since we're on the home stretch. I looked at the trichomes with my loupe, but I still couldn't see much amber. I'll have another look with a microscope in a few days and decide if I chop this week. I gave each one liter of water @ pH 6.6. ------------------------------ D119. We're at the end of week 11 of flower, and this grow is about done. The trichomes have matured somewhat compared to last week, but I still prefer to see a bit more amber. I'll let the girls go for another few days, but I will definitely chop next week as I need the light for my Amnesia grow. ------------------------------

I've started to spot a few amber trichomes here but it will still take a while for this tiny lady to finish.

Day 70: These ladies are still going for it with new pistils making them look even chubbier. #1 In the LOS is beautiful and thick . There are so many leaves swallowed whole by her buds that she will be a nightmare to trim the.mout of.lol #2 Is so ready to come out unlike her sisters. She is so damn frosty and demonic looking now. I cannot wait to sample these girls. They smell so pungent of sweet varnish that hit your nose with a kick. I expect a cure will lose some of the varnish terp a bit. They all feel so gritty , greasy too. my fingers get a sticky residue after playing with them. #2 is being put intonthe dark for 36 hours to encourage her to push oils out a little before the trim and dry. #3 Is getting quite big and even though she looks like a totally different plant , she smells identicle to the other 2. She looks like she will go a couple more weeks at least so a staggered harvest for the Lsd-25 which helps with trim jail. roll on smoking this star of the show , even if fast buds screwed me over with early photo comp withdrawal!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if it's genetics, grow environment, nutrients, or all the love and attention I have gave them but the ladies have become MONSTERS! I wouldn't believe you if you told me they were autos. I had to go and buy a huge tent just to house them. They are in full on flower and smell fantastic and aside from the nute burn I got early on they look healthy. Went ahead and added a new 2000W LED cob just to make sure these huge ladies got the proper penetration for their size. Interested in seeing how much adding to the light spectrums will help them continue to fill out. I will be working out of town this week hoping my girlfriend can keep them alive while I'm gone.

Permanent Marker was the last one standing and got the chop at day 75 of flower, nearly 11 weeks. The trichomes were still not very amber anywhere except the top sugar leaves, but it was about 90% milky white, and the leaves were all drying out. I bagged 36g of larfy buds and trimmings, 20.5g top buds, and 12g small buds. 32g smokable is not bad. I will update with smoke report in a couple weeks, but initial tests were promising. Strong chemical taste not far off from its namesake, with a KO strength punch.

9/1 Update: Welcome back to my garden! Thanks for following me on this 16 strain photoperiod SOG grow adventure! If you're just joining us. We have 18 photoperiod seedlings in the tent. 16 of them will go into 12"X12" square pots in a 4x4 sea of green. I plan to top once just above the third node. I will also allow the 2 shoots from the second node to grow with the top two to form 4 main colas. The Gorilla x Cookies sprouted 8/26! STILL nothing from Jenny Kush. Weak-sauce! The garden is happy and healthy! I am going to transplant this upcoming weekend into 6" x 6" square pots so they have room to stretch their legs and build a nice foundation before going into bloom. With Jenny seemingly out if the running, we have 17 seedlings and 2 of them are regular seeds. Hopefully at least one of the two will be female. I am going to say both will be little ladies! If we have an extra female she will veg a bit longer to go on the other side of the 4'x8' bloom tent. That's all I have to report today! Thanks for stopping by my garden!
