7/26/2021 - 1st week of flower. - Mites are super active on the layer of trim I left on the soil surface. They're not on the actual plant, so I'm much more confident in thinking they're beneficial soil mites.

Week 3

Harvested these two ladies on D75. I'm over satisfied with the result, unfortunately didn't weight the dry result but the smoke from these two are amazing. Been daily smoking it for the past 2~ months and I still got a good chunk left. #1 Came out with a skunky and a slightly chemical taste and smell. Super nice and strong smoke, you feel your eyes getting heavy after a couple puffs. Nice chunky nugs, big yielder even under only 150W. Super satisfied with the result. #2 Was surprising, garlic smell all over the place. During the drying process I felt a slight wild garlic smell, but after drying it became even more potent and smelly. Upon breaking these nugs the room gets filled with a potent wild garlic smell, which translates to a fresh potent smoke. One of my favourites so far, unfortunately my tent is too small to comfortably accommodate two plants and this one wasn't a particularly big yielder. Overall I'm VERY satisfied with my first Mephisto grow, amazing genetics, super resistant (had a couple weeks of very hot days, to which they handled amazingly). A success grow for me for sure. I mean this genetics it's excellent ... if I would grow zombie kush again ... good job ripper seed ... she fought and was very strong against the plagues after a beginning outdoors ... she fought against the white fly. worms .. red spider and other insects ... and deserves your recognition ... it will not be the most beautiful plant with its leaves impeccable ... but she is a champion ... thank you ripper seed .. .

They had have a taste of God forbidden fruits of nutrition from Gold Label such as root boost and soil a/soil b and some supplements for desert from humbolt county's own Ultra snow & Cal mag. To inspire the growth and the quality of the beauty sleep we replaced old CO2 bag with a new one. Glads me to see that our soldiers are doing really good. Well yesterday I cut the girls down 18/12. Had some fun times (first time I've been in a tent with 3 girls lol)🤣. It's been 4 months since they sprouted and for a first grow it's been very eventful to say the least. I'll be keeping you posted with the dry weight in about 10-14 days growmies. In der vergangenen Woche zeigte die Chocomint OG die ersten eindeutigen Blüteanzeichen. Parallel dazu traten jedoch deutliche Nährstoffprobleme auf. Mehrere Blätter zeigen zwischen den Blattadern nekrotische, bräunliche Gewebeschäden. Das Schadbild erinnert auf den ersten Blick an einen Magnesiummangel, unterscheidet sich jedoch klar durch das Fehlen typischer interveinaler Aufhellungen. Stattdessen handelt es sich um echte Gewebeverbrennungen. Auf Basis des Verlaufs und der bisherigen Düngemaßnahmen gehe ich von keinem Magnesiummangel aus. Wahrscheinlicher ist eine Kalium-Blockade. Diese dürfte durch eine zuvor erhöhte CalMag-Gabe entstanden sein, die zur Korrektur des Ca/Mg-Verhältnisses im ungebufferten Kokosanteil des Substrats eingesetzt wurde. Das Coco hat initial Calcium und Magnesium stark gebunden, was nun zu einer Überkompensation geführt haben könnte. Ähnliche Symptome traten bereits zu Beginn des Grows als klassische CalMag-Verbrennungen auf. Aktuell gehe ich davon aus, dass das Überschussverhältnis von Ca/Mg die Kaliumaufnahme hemmt und dadurch sekundäre Mangelsymptome bzw. Verbrennungen verursacht. Weitere Maßnahmen zielen nun darauf ab, das Nährstoffverhältnis zu stabilisieren und Blockaden schrittweise zu lösen, dazu gieße ich nun weiter ohne cal/mag und lasse etwas drain ablaufen.

- Day 64 Redid the reservoir today, I upped the nutrients as she is starting to show signs she is very hungry and quite some leaves had yellowed completely in the bottom half of the plant. Day 65 Seemed like she drunk a lot less today, didn't have to add any water. Just had to pH the water from 6.6 back down to 6.1 Day 66 Today she drank a lot more than she did yesterday somehow. Had to top up again with 1.5 liters of 6.7 pH water...pH was down to 5.5 again, brought it back up to 6.1 now. A lot of the lower fan leaves are still yellowing quite a bit. seems like she might need a stronger dose of N still. Day 67 pH has been dropping a bit less since I've been topping up the bucket with more water, seems to confirm my suspicion that the pH can drop so much just because it is a small reservoir, which she drinks a lot from in one day. It went to 5.7 from 6.1. Topped her up again with 6.5 pH, which brought it back up to 6.1. The buds are really fattening up, looks beautiful. Day 68 Not much too report, she still keeps drinking a lot every day, pH drops from 6.1 to 5.6 over 24 hours and I top up the water with about 1.4 liters with a higher pH to bring the pH back to ~6.1. Day 69 Same as yesterday. pH dropped only to 5.8 now, I guess nutrients are being used up by the plant towards the end of the week, so pH stays more stable as the nutrient concentration lowers. Topped up with 1 liter of water 6.6 pH, back to 6.1 pH.

She is taking shape nicely, but in the meantime I noticed some CalMag and N deficiencies too. On the next feed I will go with 2/3 strenght and the following one will be 3/4 if needed. At the moment I’m switching from tap water to rainwater, the problem is that Biobizz PH down doesn’t hold the ph for more than an hour. Hence the deficiencies. I ordered a PH- from Growth Technology, it solved the issue. The watering regime is as follows: •Clean water in the tray for 3 days, top up if needed •Turn off the air pump, drain the water •Wait 12 hours •Pour the feed in the tray (4 liters - 1/2 strenghth) •Leave the feed in the tray for 24 hours, air pump off •Drain the leftover of feed •Clean water in the tray, turn the air pump back on

Ended up pulling about 65 grams from Top Gun2, another 55 from the Top Gun1 I harvested earlier, fun grow, I was lazy with this diary as I was more excited for gorilla cookies, I’ll try to keep to one diary from now.

She has started the stretch and is slowly starting to form her first pistils. I completely remixed the water this time not only with Aqua Vega but also with some Aqua Flores. The individual shoots were woven into the net, which I will continue to do for the next 1-2 weeks. Next week all shoots under the net will be removed so that the upper ones get all the energy and not the lower ones that are in the dark. The entire plant was checked for health. The tent was cleaned as well as all the pumps and the heating rod. I wish you all a nice week. Babies are almost ready! Starting to fade and getting denser by the day. There’s definitely noticeable differences between phenotypes. One smells like a woody kush, another smells like kush/diesel and the other one smells of pure grapes. Expected a little more genetic stability but still h@ppy with the variety.
