Day 22 - The girls are very healthy and very green, they have huge fan leaves Hopefully no trimming, just leaf tucking, and they should be good 🌱

Welcome to week six! 🌱 Week five was a complete success – all parameters are perfectly aligned. I’ve increased the water conductivity to a solid 3000 and bumped the CO2 level up to 1200 🌿. Light intensity is now set at 1400 µmol in the center and 1000 at the edges, which will keep the plants strong in their generative state 🌞. I’ll maintain these levels until the end of the third week and then start slowly removing the large fan leaves to ensure the buds get plenty of light 💡✨. I’m also trying something new to activate the “Emerson effect” 🌄: I’m running the deep red lights for 5 minutes before sunset and for another 5 minutes after the day ends. This should give the plants a final boost in photosynthesis, helping to maximize their growth potential! Everything’s looking fantastic so far! The Black Cherry has rooted well across different experimental setups, and at the end of the grow, I’ll provide a full report on the best care techniques for both strains 🌺👌. Welcome back growfessors to another episode of growfessor theatre! 👽🌳💚 Week 8F begins for the ladies of the 4x8, last round of feeding before the flush. LSD has gone crazy over the last week, insane bulk-up in her buds, from top to bottom, in by the stock and out to the tips, she's just bulky, dense, sticky, frosty and incredible! By far, the best looking results from any of my LSD grows. Green Crack also looks incredible and the rest of the ladies, while doing awesome, will be their final grow in my garden. Day 33 I have now got 2 bp1500s running at 66% 101w each so 202w total and at 20 inches it still puts out over 45000 lux =721 ppfd = 51.91 DLI, I'm running out of room haha might cut my hours back to 18 to reduce my DLI but they're not showing signs of burning or heat stress, have been tucking fan leaves to expose bud sites

So since I had the mold and bud rot problems I had to divide my schedule of harvest and divide the product as well. - Healthy buds are ones belonging to branches where there are no signs of rot/mold. -Mid-healthy buds are untouched by disease but still belonging to a branch where there was some disease. -Last category are the salvaged ones, where I cut them from bigger buds that had disease or they were in some part affected. These 3 categories each have their own drying space and where harvested in this order to prevent spreading of spores and stuff. For the salvaged buds every time I removed a part with disease I cleaned the scissors with alcohol. I only removed the sun-leaves + penguin leaves and will be doing a dry trim for the sugar leaves later on.

This week I have seen a lot of explosive growth in terms of height and shape! I was reluctant to beg from 6 weeks as I thought there wasn’t enough growth but they started to absolutely guzzle feed and respond well to everything I had done. Really happy with how they’re growing for now apart from the few issues I have had to say this is the first photoperiod strain I have grown and trained in really impressed. Humidity issues are still present but I’ve managed to maintain about 40% which is acceptable with temperatures bang on! I can see bud sites appearing everywhere and the defoliation technique really seemed to have worked. I will defoliate again before I flip to flower... Excited to keep growing!!

I started germination of this Gold Bar Kush bean on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cube with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plug was just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made hole. Than I sowed my bean into the hole. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the hole in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plug into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see a sprout. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plug planted into a 1 gallon pot. Plus get this lady situated into her new home. Cant wait! Some background information on my first run with GBK. It's a VERY robust variety packing hella branches, hella quick. Prime candidate for continues ongoing lst work. To maintain a clean,uncongested even canopy. She can become a jungle quick if left untamed. Shes very easy going in the nutrient department. Not hard to keep this one happy. Packs on lots of weight everywhere towards end of flower. Branches most definitely need some support or they will come crashing down. The flavor and aroma from this variety sre majestic. The intense indica effects are heavenly. Not hard to guess why it's back in the grow room for round 2.

We have roots! Baby seedling is growing rapidly. I’m using some pH stabilizing powder in my res along with the hydroguard for now. Will begin light nutes in another week or so.

Really nice plant to grow the high is nice and mellow, if I was to do this strainbagain I'd try go for the photoperiod to give her more potential but over all great grow and fantastic jar appeal.
